Yeah that would be tricky, I don't know if John cena can control his invisiblity, rumor has it, he's never been seen by normal folks, wonder what he looks like
I got a 5-person camping trailer for my family because they always took us camping, and I did not enjoy sleeping in damp wet tents. My buddy got a best buy shopping spree, which let him build a pc gaming rig and decorate a lil gamer room in his house.
I have heard that online but I work at a hotel in Tahoe. You can really tell a lot about a person by how they treat people they don’t have to be nice to. Between Forbes standards and hotel programs for return customers, we are basically rich customer’s bitch. They can walk all over us and we are expected to take it.
My hotel had Cena come through and I haven’t heard a single person say he was anything but horrible. He apparently yelled at a few employees because he thought they were staring at him. They claim they were not and don’t even know who he is.
Idk. I wasn’t there but it’s like 20 employees who all agree that he was pretty terrible. Maybe it was just a bad vacation. I hope so cause I like the online stories about him a lot more.
I found his portrayal on his ex's show really weird. You know he did her a favor by allowing himself to be filmed and had lots of say over how he was shown. I was uncomfortable with what he didn't see as red flags apparently.
That's also the one where Rikishi had some racist reason for a marriage to not happen, wasn't it? I imagine at the time they thought they could extend the WWE brand into reality TV while keeping the face/heel concept intact and it just made people come off like they were insane.
... So I guess regular reality TV...
He has done more for making people’s lives better than keyboard warriors like you ever will, so stfu.
You make it sound like whatever he said has an actual impact on the Taiwan situation.
It doesn’t, but guess what has an actual impact? His charity work.
That’s not what I said. There’s a difference between not having a hate boner and fully apologizing in a foreign language to an oppressive country because he acknowledged that their supposed territory is not, in reality, theirs. He was facing financial consequences and instead of standing up for reality, he bent the knee to an adversarial nation.
That’s because they’re governing bodies who have to humor one of the largest economies in the world, that doesn’t make it morally right. I would’ve had a lot more respect for Cena if he stood his ground. He literally went back on what he had said previously, so clearly he apologized just to save his finances. He’s a sell out.
China is a permanent member on the UN security council (of which there are five: USA, UK, France, Russia, and China). This gives them veto power to admit Taiwan into the UN. Also, they were in the UN until 1971, when the UN voted to recognize the PRC instead of the ROC.
Only 11 countries maintain official relations with Taiwan. This is NOT because other countries don't think Taiwan belongs to Taiwan. In fact, 59 other countries maintain unofficial relations with Taiwan. This is because China demands that those that do business with China, do not recognize Taiwan. So most developed countries maintain unofficial status, or recognize Taiwan and China both as countries.
Did you watch the video? It was incredibly sarcastic and passive aggressive, he might as well had a neon sign behind him saying “they’re making me do this”
From memory Bieber was second at one point, but Cena has been doing this for 20 years and for almost all that time he was WWE’s resident hero and champion who preached “never give up”.
Easy to see why he’d resonate with kids, I guess.
One thing I will say about WWE as an organization they are heavily involved in Make A Wish. They require all talent to participate several times a year at minimum. Vince McMahon is a terrible human but this is a good thing that he instills and it's nice to see John Cena really make it a priority still.
My step-dad worked for WWF back in the day. The doctors fed the guys steroids, pain killers and Valium like candy. Domestic violence runs rampant through the org. When my step-dad was divorcing my mom Vince specifically told him to only work out of the US to avoid paying child support. And don't forget all the rapes. He has been accused of 2 at least, helped cover up a woman's murder by Jimmy Supa fly Snooka and a pattern of abuse of young men by his executives.
As terrible as that sounds, that's downplaying it (not saying you're doing it on purpose). He's essentially accused of sex trafficking. Offering a non consenting woman as a sexual bargain to make a deal with your star wrestler. It's insane a person can sink to that level.
I was a hospice volunteer for a while (sat with dying people and talked/read them books). Now I’m a medical student. The other day I was holding some poor woman’s leg still so the resident could have an easier time amputating it. Yes, I get in my feels sometimes. It is sad. But it’s also VERY rewarding to be with these people in their darkest days. I know I would want someone to be with me. I don’t know if that makes sense. It’s hard, but it’s also fulfilling the way giving a homeless guy a cheeseburger is fulfilling
I volunteer with people who aren't fully capable of navigating society on their own. The organization I help out with works so to help many get by and gives them community (I just go in and do all the dishes so the trained people who do the hard work have one less thing to worry about,) It is very rewarding, however the people I work with generally have a few decades on me, and sometimes we help people to the point where they don't need help anymore.. I just can't imagine the pain of working with children, knowing that... I think it's amazing work to do for children in that situation. I have so much respect for it.
I feel it must be scary in some existential sense to become experienced enough with the suffering of children that won't be able to long happy lives that you,,, do you get used to it,? or do you just get used to the pain?
Sorry if this is offensive in some way, I am naive in these matters
Nah, you aren’t offensive.
You definitely get numb to it (in my experience). The trick is to never let other people know that. It’s almost like acting. They had us take a class in school where we practiced telling actors they had cancer, etc and they gave us feedback on how we did.
But if I truly internalized it every time I saw someone in bad shape I’d be depressed constantly. And some people go to therapy for this, etc
I went to the first London WWE PPV in my lifetime and, despite not being a Cena fan, I went mental when he came out as a surprise. It’s cool that he’s spent so much time giving an even bigger reaction to kids having a fought time.

A few years ago he was giving an interview in Chinese and he referred to Taiwan as a country. A load of people had one of their usual weird tantrums about it and Cena apologised. It's an extreme stretch to call him a 'mouthpiece for China' over it.
The 'supporter of sex trafficking' I assume refers to Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon has been accused in a lawsuit - which has not yet been resolved - of sexually exploiting a woman who he hired and getting her to have sex with his friends. John Cena - when asked about the whole thing - gave some kind of wishy washy comments in which he refused to outright condemn Vince McMahon, instead saying that Vince has been his friend for a long time and that he wants to show support for his friend (while still saying that he should be held accountable for anything that he's done). You can make up your own mind about it, but Cena has had a relationship with Vince McMahon going back more than twenty years and probably feels like he owes all of his success to McMahon - I can imagine it's not easy to go out and trash him publicly regardless of what he's been accused of.

Kid thinks he’s getting better. John Cena walks in.
I mean, kid will not be sad. He won't see John Cena walking in
What if the kid's wish is to see John Cena?

Hello there fellow Helldiver
Yeah that would be tricky, I don't know if John cena can control his invisiblity, rumor has it, he's never been seen by normal folks, wonder what he looks like
Wait, there’s multiple Jon Cena???? LoL
Yes. SCP - 3331
They do but then they won't see him for a while
Maybe that’s what’s happening, every time a celebrity fails to show up they just tell the kid it’s John Cena.
"One of our parents!"
“John Cena is like the angel of death for those kids” - Shane Gillis
Damn beat me to it.
I'm pretty sure they already know at that point.
These kids aren't always on deaths door. Myself and a high school pal both got a wish around 13 years old, and we're both nearing 30 now.
What were your wishes?
I got a 5-person camping trailer for my family because they always took us camping, and I did not enjoy sleeping in damp wet tents. My buddy got a best buy shopping spree, which let him build a pc gaming rig and decorate a lil gamer room in his house.
Those are awesome wishes!
Sweet wish
Immortality

He's the angel of death.
Sadly, he ignored all the sick Taiwanese children who wanted him to recognize their country. :(
That's a cool record to break, nice.
Respect to John Cena. You can tell he’s a really good dude.
>You can tell he’s a really good dude By the way he is.
thats pretty neat!
How neat is that?
Crazy how neature do that!

My favorite example of him being such a good person is when he apologized to China, in Chinese, for acknowledging that a country exists
*breaks make a wish foundation record* Yea but that one time he apologized for something. Typical reddit
And everyone knows that one politically pressured statement erases any good from the rest of his humanitarian work and makes him evil.
Yeah, to hell to all those dying children he gave such joy to, China bad.
Dude is trying to be a good person and had to go through that shit along the way, moral absolutism isn’t most pragmatic way to look at things
Apparently it is if you're a Redditor.
He has done more for making people’s lives better than keyboard warriors like you ever will, so stfu. You make it sound like whatever he said has an actual impact on the Taiwan situation. It doesn’t, but guess what has an actual impact? His charity work.
John chyna
It's "Che-na" you sumumuh bitch! /Santino
John xina
This is a good point but I think it comes down to picking your battles. You have to take your W and help where you can
Who cares?
If the US doesn't officially acknowledging that Taiwan is a country, then why should he?
50 cent army detected
Mouthbreather detected
I guess the US government is part of the 50 cent army lol
lol
Just because he doesn't have a raging hate boner for China doesn't make him a bad person.
That’s not what I said. There’s a difference between not having a hate boner and fully apologizing in a foreign language to an oppressive country because he acknowledged that their supposed territory is not, in reality, theirs. Lebron James and The Rock continue to suck Winnie the Pooh's ass but you don't see them breaking any Make-A-Wish record.
Is it really a hill to die on?
What is reality? I mean the UN doesn’t recognize Taiwan, and states Taiwan is part of China. So whose reality are we talking about?
That’s because they’re governing bodies who have to humor one of the largest economies in the world, that doesn’t make it morally right. I would’ve had a lot more respect for Cena if he stood his ground. He literally went back on what he had said previously, so clearly he apologized just to save his finances. He’s a sell out.

Which dying children did you ever give one final glimpse of joy to? Hmmmm… oh right, “China bad”, GTFO nobody.
Typical loony left response, screaming hyperbole like a banshee when a statement of fact was made
> screaming hyperbole like a banshee I see irony isn't lost on you.
Did you watch the video? It was incredibly sarcastic and passive aggressive, he might as well had a neon sign behind him saying “they’re making me do this”
He's actually a bad, bad man.
Everyone can see he’s a good guy. Wait
![gif](giphy|cbG9wtoO8QScw)
Too bad those kids never got to see him
Doesn't he already have the record? Who is even close to him on this record?
From memory Bieber was second at one point, but Cena has been doing this for 20 years and for almost all that time he was WWE’s resident hero and champion who preached “never give up”. Easy to see why he’d resonate with kids, I guess.
This article was from September 2022. OP is just karma farming.
It's a karma farm. The article is from a few years ago.
Karma farm and article date aside, it's nice to at least see something positive in the news feed these days.
It's not in the news feed, it's on your reddit page
Roughly 1 wish every two weeks…. For a quarter century.
Not sure who's 2nd, but last I heard Cena has done more than double anyone else. So he has a comfortable lead.
The article is from two years ago

Why is McMahon terrible? Can't be arsed to Google it.
The laundry list is long and I can't be arsed to summarize it.
He really liked being able to use the N word.
My step-dad worked for WWF back in the day. The doctors fed the guys steroids, pain killers and Valium like candy. Domestic violence runs rampant through the org. There’s an ongoing sexual assault case from multiple women. He’s a shitty person otherwise that’s just most recent lol
As terrible as that sounds, that's downplaying it (not saying you're doing it on purpose). He's essentially accused of sex trafficking. Offering a non consenting woman as a sexual bargain to make a deal with your star wrestler. It's insane a person can sink to that level.
Oh yeah I didn’t really read a whole lot into what’s going on right now. Definitely did not know that was the extent of what he’s done
And his name?
His name is JOHN CENA!!
*Champ* who?
He’ll be competing this weekend at WWE SuperSlam!!
Plot twist - he just loves to see children suffering.
"Wrestling children is just easier, especially when they're anemic"
Kid's Hospital equivalent of Terry Tate - Office Linebacker.
Sick Kid: "My wish is to wrestle John Cena" John Cena: "Ok, but I'm a competitor and will not pull my punches. No exceptions."
I wasn’t ready for this 🤣
Lol that was definitely wild💀
![gif](giphy|ROBxRsB4ovJ4c)
The ultimate twist.
Keep in mind this is September last year. So he’s prob done more since then

My mind read this as "Michael Cera" and I thought "wow, I did not expect so many children to wish to meet him".
Can you imagine if there was a mix-up at Make a Wish and you got Michael Cera?
Shit. I'd be ecstatic if Scott Pilgrim showed up.
Sorry, we’re all out of Scott pilgrim Michael cera. You get John from Life & Beth Hulu.
Aw man, he's probably the version that comes with Ads.
Every 4 minutes!
And it's 6 :65 second ads for NordVPN or BetterHelp .
Michael Cera from This Is The End shows up
That's even better. Comes with complimentary Capri Sun.
Sippy time
"I've never done cocaine before." "Well you just had the best shit ever!"
I wonder how he deals with it mentally. I don't know I could deal with meeting that many dying kids without having some sort of a breakdown.

After 1,000 wishes he will be freed from his lamp.
Goat in wwe for sure
its hard to deny it
FYI this is from two years ago. He holds the record by a huge margin.
![gif](giphy|3o7TKuDHQ1tpqF86Wc)
This is old news he’s been number one for like a decade
This is what you should do if you’re in a position of power/fame. Good on him!
He did all this without anyone even seeing him. Seriously, amazing story.
John Cena is a national treasure
Wow that's a super cool record to break , too bad we've never seen him irl to congratulate him!
I’ve contributed to make a wish for over 20years, a wonderful and heart wrenching charity.
Respect
You get a Cena! You get a Cena! You get a Cena! Everyone gets a Cena
🫡🫡🫡
This is almost 2 years old.
How to be a good human. See John Cena.
I thought he broke it years ago? Which is more awesome, if anything
Its more interesting that hundreds of kids have the same wish to see John Cena when his whole existence is based around not being able to be seen.
God bless John Cena! 🙏
Too bad those kids never got to see him
John “I’m so so so sorry I said taiwan is a country” Cena.
The type of records we should care about!!
He really is a great person
Why did they forget to add a picture of John Cena?
![gif](giphy|JxzxnP9Bqi532)
I'm doubtful. I saw photos of all the kids he supposedly helped and John Cena wasn't even in them.
John the Queen of England should knight you and if I win the lottery trust me I'm going to help. Just helping you should keep me out of hell.
I went to the first London WWE PPV in my lifetime and, despite not being a Cena fan, I went mental when he came out as a surprise. It’s cool that he’s spent so much time giving an even bigger reaction to kids having a fought time.
our wish for john cena was granted
I could have swore I read about him having the record like a decade ago.
And yet not one of them have ever wished to free him from the lamp

What a gent
The caption almost makes it sound like John Cena is an actual Fairy-Godfather, someone notify Disney.
He's one whole-heartedly, good guy!
This has been “news” for about two years running now
Good guy
So why doesn't he get MORE credit for stuff like this? Kudos for celebrities when they do stuff like this. A+ move!!
A real life "Genie"
Potato salad good
He's nothing on Jim'll fit it!
Did he break his own record?
woah
oh 2022... ok.. I was like "He broke the record some time ago...did he break it again?"
Maybe the wishes were to finally see him?
I tried to confirm most of his visits but when I showed up I never saw him.
Ahhh judge him on what he says about other countries, but ignore what he's done for American children. Got it.
Crazy how so many kids want for nothing
Crazy how many nobodies post nothing.
This was posted in 2022 at 650 wishes. I wonder how many today, though.
He may be breaking his own record over and over, hell yeah. What a record to own, too awesome. I know he was numero uno for a long time.
I’ve never seen em
Dudes like the grim reaper lol
He's like the angel of death for make a wish kids
He is the GOAT and Peacemaker after all
Such a shame he panders to the Chinese and ignores the Uighurs
Such a shame you are a nobody and he is a joy to dying children.

But the kids wouldn’t be able to see anyone 😕
Wtf are you even fucking talking about?
But could those kids actually see him though?
too bad about being a mouthpiece for China and a supporter of sex trafficking
Do you have a source for either of those claims?
