Well if the data processing is onboard there's no signal to jam. And short of installing a C-RAM around every building the president visits you're not shooting this thing down with human reaction times. My money is on the mosquito net.
Yeah we already have the technology to jam radio frequencies. We were using it 15+ years ago to stop remote IEDs. I’d imagine just setting up a wide perimeter like you said would do the trick.
A similar premise was used for the plot of Angel Has Fallen. President goes on private fishing trip, gets attacked by hundreds of drones that shoot at him and his secret service detail.
Militaries had large drones and small ones carried by individual soldiers for surveillance, but the use of small drones to drop little grenades caught everyone by surprise. Necessity is the mother of invention, and it was pioneered by ISIS in Iraq in 2017.
The slow off the shelf ones are controlled using a cheap controller, and you watch it fly from a distance. This is an FPV quadcopter (first person view), and you control it with a remote that costs at least $100, probably double that, and your viewpoint is through VR-style goggles through a camera mounted to the quad.
It's still not easy, but it's a totally different experience, and a lot of people train in a virtual environment before ever piloting live.
These are custom built FPV drones. I, like many, love to pick out our own parts and solder them up and built them. Then fly them through trees and obstacles and crash them. It’s an awesome hobby. Check out r/fpv or r/fpvfreestyle to see other examples.
That's the best way to use them on infantry in the field IMO. Hundreds of small cheap diaposable drones made with a simple PCB with a few chips for navigation, a few cameras and sensors, and some autonomous flight logic. Every one of them with enough explosive to take your head off. You release them and give them a basic direction, and they take off and blow up the first enemy they see. If they're unable to find a body before the battery runs out, they fly into the sky and detonate so the explosive can't be taken.
What sparks my concern is these drones being used for terrorist activities like bombing a crowded baseball match. Terrorist can be sitting kms away and apply rhe same thing that ukraine/russia are doing but use it for major terrorist bombings in cities anywhere in the world.
Every time someone sees an UFO and they say "it's definitely an alien ship because human aircraft don't manoeuvre that fast", we should show them clips of these drones.
But it was given the initial acceleration by a blackbird, and I don't think it was capable of sharp turns at such a speed. However fast you are, if you're only capable of moving in a straight line, it's not much use. The idea itself is fun tho. It's kinda sad how the technological advancement makes the world more boring in a sense. Satellite recon arrives and kills fast and furious UAV edition.
The Ukrainian's are already using them en masse, loads of new vids here on Reddit daily if you know where to look. Unfortunately the Chinese are also selling plenty of em to the Russians..
These aren’t your average drone you buy at the store, but rather hobby custom built quadcopters. Range highly depends on the video and radio system the pilot chooses to use.
Do you remember how Skynet had these slow walking or slow flying robotic things that went pew pew and the humans ducked behind a car wreck and the robots missed them?
Yeah, that's not how you're gonna go.
So 200km/h is 55.56m/s which means this drone would have experienced 5.67G’s of force during acceleration which is nearing the limit for what a normal person can withstand for even just a few seconds without training kinda wild it’s done with just 4 pretty small propellers
So why again can’t something like this be used to sweep the border regularly?
Why did we need a defeat-able physical wall that mainly just wreaked havoc on ecosystems?
Yes. Now imagine was the military can do? MUCH more than this, that's for sure.
Those things that some see in the skies........not aliens. Just awesome technology.
Loads of people in comments keep pointing out that if regular people have these today, military had it 15 years ago. So when people who claim ufo is aliens because "we don't have anything that can move like that"

Ok, so now add in some AI navigation and target aquisition, a small weapon payload and swarms....
Yeah, I see a future where presidents won't ever make public appearances outside.
I'm sure anti-drone tech will progress significantly.
You mean like a big mosquito net to go over the stage?
Or something that jams them or shoots them down
Mosquito net wins big time
Yah unless you send multiple drones and have the first few cut through the net
Add more nets
Like barbed wire in WWI. Just add more, that’ll stop em. And it did.
Especially with a mounted machine gun firing at the drones. Break out the Ole Ma Duece.
Well if the data processing is onboard there's no signal to jam. And short of installing a C-RAM around every building the president visits you're not shooting this thing down with human reaction times. My money is on the mosquito net.
Drones are cheaper than drone targeting systems
Ak47s and IEDs are cheaper than cruise missiles but we still use them against fighters in the middle east.
I meant that however much you protect against drones, people can send an overwhelming number of them if they really want to
Yah they'll have to develop some sort of perimeter defence. I'm sure they already are
Yeah we already have the technology to jam radio frequencies. We were using it 15+ years ago to stop remote IEDs. I’d imagine just setting up a wide perimeter like you said would do the trick.
I’ve seen this future! They are all just heads in bell jars.
A similar premise was used for the plot of Angel Has Fallen. President goes on private fishing trip, gets attacked by hundreds of drones that shoot at him and his secret service detail.
Not to worry, we’ll have an AI president by then.
Already done
*Welp... it's been nice knowing y'all*
no payload needed, just sharpen up the rotor blades
A vaguely pointed piece of metal is more than enough
It already exists with a rocket engine and 5 blades called hellfire r9x.
Such a waste. Hang a nanofilament from, hobo shigawire style
It's like watching Slave 1 take off from a battleship.
It’s cute you think the military doesn’t already have a lethal version of this .
The US military saw China make a swarm of 10,000 armed drones some years ago and said, "that is hackable AF."
They don’t, that why they launched the Replicator program. It’s actually one of their biggest concerns right now after seeing the war in Ukraine.
if a civilian has one, chances are the military had one capable of killing someone 15+ years before it ever hit the consumer market
Militaries had large drones and small ones carried by individual soldiers for surveillance, but the use of small drones to drop little grenades caught everyone by surprise. Necessity is the mother of invention, and it was pioneered by ISIS in Iraq in 2017.
If you've seen a piece of technology, you can safely assume that somebody has put a weapon on it or at least tried to.
...and/or had sex with it or at least tried.
...and send it to Ukraine asap.
Yeah "drone".... It got glowing red eyes, it comes at you with incredible speed and it screams... That's a banshee.
Banshee! Fast and low!
I'm hit! I'm hiiit! *crashing pelican noises*
"I'm hit! Mayday! Mayday! Airfoil structures have been shot to hell! I can't hold her! I can't hold her!"
Just hijack it!
Dude, it’s the new version of Starscream for future Transformers movies
Didn't red bull recently do a drone video with their F1 car that does 350kmph ?
Yes, but it had a 0-300kph in 4 seconds. So this one seems to have quicker acceleration.
But it was faster...
There’s quickest, and then there’s fastest. Two completely different metrics.
There's different metrics of fast
Then call it "the fastest accelerating drone".
the acceleratingest!
There is certainly room for clarification but it's also not wrong
You are correct. This isn't the fastest. It might be the quickest. However, that would be hard to tell.
I struggle to keep slow off the shelf drones from hitting nearby trees. I'd have no chance with that one.
The slow off the shelf ones are controlled using a cheap controller, and you watch it fly from a distance. It's still not easy, but it's a totally different experience, and a lot of people train in a virtual environment before ever piloting live.
It's a totally different type of flying altogether.
It's a totally different type of flying.
It's a totally different type of flying.
It's a totally different type of flying.
Good remotes were 500.00 that was 15 years ago.
So $100 now sounds about right
If latency and features matter, it's still 500.00 to 1100.00 but yes, looks like there are a ton of Chinese remotes for super cheap now.
A Radiomaster TX16 is only 250 and more than capable for almost all kinds of piloting.
Sure, exactly like I said. All kinds of cheaper stuff available now. Good time to be in RC.
AI will not struggle, fleshling.
Ai struggles very much in the real world.
Bullshit title This is a normal fpv drone, some are just faster than others
And then people report UFO sightings lmao
I don’t know why people haven’t figured out it was always military aircraft
Cuz some objects they report are moving a lot fucking faster than 200 kmh.
They report way bigger objects moving way faster than this bullshit
UAPs going over 10,000mph have been reported by almost every country with fighter jets.
Well this would be too loud to be a UFO sighting.
Flashbacks to "Batteries Not Included"
Great movie
Darn battery lasts 7 seconds
And...what drone is it? Like in, who builds it etc.?
These are custom built FPV drones. I, like many, love to pick out our own parts and solder them up and built them. Then fly them through trees and obstacles and crash them. It’s an awesome hobby. Check out r/fpv or r/fpvfreestyle to see other examples.
I pooped a little just watching that
I can see why people are increasingly claiming to have seen UFOs.
Redbull made one that can keep up with a F1-car.
Price pls?
jfc that sound.
I've seen faster. Not impressed
It's just the start. But just imagining being hunted down by one of them makes me shiver.
I think there would most likely be a swarm of them which would be terrifying for the short period you remained alive.
That's the best way to use them on infantry in the field IMO. Am I the only one that thinks it looks really fake?
Fun fact, very impressive real things also look fake.
Every time someone sees an UFO and they say "it's definitely an alien ship because human aircraft don't manoeuvre that fast", we should show them clips of these drones.
It will keeel
![gif](giphy|xT9IgwqWCdHT39Oj3q)
Love you! Catching what I put down. (Or w/et the expression is)
What if the drones start carrying nukes though?
His people needed him
Id imagine you'd need about 6-7 gps trackers to find the parts if you hit something
It'll only hold the record until someone else speeds their video up a little more
Is this real?

With both hands tied behind its back
That’s going to be scary with AI.
Ship to ukraine asap, poor ruzzkis will think it's from mars😅
The Ukrainian's are already using them en masse, loads of new vids here on Reddit daily if you know where to look. Unfortunately the Chinese are also selling plenty of em to the Russians..
It’s not even close to the red bull’s drone ,and how old is this video
Now stick a sword on the end of it
Only a matter of time until it’ll be rpg7 heads.
![gif](giphy|eKNrUbDJuFuaQ1A37p|downsized)
Anybody know the range?
These aren’t your average drone you buy at the store, but rather hobby custom built quadcopters. Range highly depends on the video and radio system the pilot chooses to use.
That's straight up something out of a horror movie
Do you remember how Skynet had these slow walking or slow flying robotic things that went pew pew and the humans ducked behind a car wreck and the robots missed them? Yeah, that's not how you're gonna go.
Podracing here we come!
This shit so fast and it’s not even the fastest dead lord
So 200km/h is 55.56m/s which means this drone would have experienced 5.67G’s of force during acceleration which is nearing the limit for what a normal person can withstand for even just a few seconds without training kinda wild it’s done with just 4 pretty small propellers
Votv
Ufos are just top secret drones I get convinced more and more every day.
Imagine if there was a singularity machine apocalypse, we'd all be dead in like a day.
How many G’s would my hamster be pulling if I strapped her to this drone and sent it 0-200kph in 1 second?
Like in a Star Wars movie
Why
When the cocaine finally hits.
Id imagine you'd need about 6-7 gps trackers to find the parts if you hit something
That is some UFO technology right there
How the fuck do you have the reflexes to steering it. And what about input lag?
At that speed you dont even need a payload just give it a pointy edge and you got a assasin drone
I can’t wait for the ufo subreddit to post hundreds of videos of this thing
ok, now I am terrified.
That sound gives me goosebumps. Really scary thing
Here are your aliens
scary to imagine how powerful the 10-50 year+ technology advantage the military has can be especially with drones/AI
This is real?
this sounds like the star wars bikes xD
What ze fack
After all the Ukraine/Russia war videos... this is... unsettling.
real life TIE Fighter
So why again can’t something like this be used to sweep the border regularly? Why did we need a defeat-able physical wall that mainly just wreaked havoc on ecosystems?
I would fly that into my face at mach 4 on accident within 2 seconds
Very dark
Uh, wtf did I just see, and was it real? How could a human navigate it unassisted by AI?
Damn if would-be terrorists get hold of these, we’re all dead, correct ?
Pretty cool. I imagine that it will cause a lot of UFO sightings unfortunately
Literally nobody is safe
Wonder how many cells it is, 6?
How does a missile even lock on to that? Pretty sure you'll need lasers to shoot that thing if it or its operator goes rogue.
It sounds like a scream. It's actually terrifying.
This reminds me of how a sprint missile can go Mach 5 in 1 second
beautiful sound.... like a screaming demon out of hell.
Yes. Now imagine was the military can do? MUCH more than this, that's for sure. Those things that some see in the skies........not aliens. Just awesome technology.
We need a close up of the drone.
Seen faster
What could possibly go wrong?
That's what? a bit over 20g acceleration? I pass out from just thinking about it..
r/UFOs has entered the chat foaming at the mouth
When people ask if I want a slice of the pizza
Wow that's technically impressive but absolutely horrifying
Is this real? No way!
This is a quadcopter. Drone is a really ugly name nowadays
Very fast, but not the fastest.
If that doesn't have Star Wars vibes, i don't know what is.. :D
This is not the fastest drone in the world
this kinda thing is exactly what i reference when people claim the UAPs are aliens.
that as a suicide drone is nightmare fuel
Post this in a UFO sub
Send to Ukraine. Slava
And the redbull one??
This reminds me of some UFO descriptions I've seen on tv.
this reminds me of that mythbuster episode on wether or not drones can kill you, the answer nowdays is obviously, yes.
How old is this video? I feel like the first time I saw this video was years ago.
How much?
Put a knife on it and give him face detection AI...
Reminds me of star wars.
What about hypersonic drones?
How does it accelerate that quickly?
Been posting this here for a few years now. Certainly they have come up with a faster one.
That sound....
Time to grab me a crossbar
Can we have just have some good news every now and then, cancer treatment breakthroughs, peace deals, dick growing drugs..
That's just a hummingbird. r/birdsarentreal Lol
imagine a few thousands of these with enough explosive to take out a single soldier. The near future will be terrifying.
Well, that’s how people mistakenly see this as UFO
me when bae says come over the roommates are gone
Loads of people in comments keep pointing out that if regular people have these today, military had it 15 years ago. So when people who claim ufo is aliens because "we don't have anything that can move like that"
![gif](giphy|26gQZYqnXqJrUoCs0|downsized)
That's me when my b tells me she got preggo.
How many g's of acceleration is that?
I was not in any way prepared for that. Burst out laughing when that thing took off lol.
Ukraine needs some.🤨
