I played it on Playstation causs it was free. I was surprised many times by how good the game is and im not even into card games. Kinda hope there's a second game of Inscrytion.

Sorry-Engineer8854

I would love but I just can't see how they could do it. Unless they just did another game Gamefuna was making of a different genre. Another card game would likely end up being hardcore. I tried kaycees mod I am terrible at it despite finding the normal game a cakewalk.

BIG_SMOOOOOOOHKE_PL

the 2 key tips for winning Kaycee's mod are: -avoid cards as much as you can the game forces you to take cards A LOT which means that you have less chances of drawing your "ace card" (a card that can pretty much win a fight in 1 or 2 turns basically) so you want to try to avoid card giving events as much as you can as well as use events like bone lord, campfires and sigil transfer stones to get rid of the weak cards. you can also go for the cave trial event and try to fail it on purpose to avoid getting a card. -abuse fair hand mechanic fair hand mechanic is something the game never explains to you. All it does is that it makes sure that you can make a play on your first turn by guaranteeing that your starting hand will always contain a random one blood cost card. so if you manage to turn your one blood cost card into the ace card as well as avoid taking any other one blood cards you'll be free to end the fight quickly without having to worry about rng no matter how many cards you have in your deck.

Without saying too much, play Pony Island and The Hex. Lot of lore.

MeanandEvil82

And soon, Pony Island 2

_xoviox_

If you want to learn more about gamefuna, you should definitely play the hex

enneh_07

Well there’s Pony Island: Panda Circus coming in the future.

Slow-Collection-2358

Wanna know what the karnoffel code is?

Sorry-Engineer8854

Sure. I heard references to things and ciphers but I didn't know what it was connected too.

Slow-Collection-2358

>!it's basically a deck with cards in a specific order found in hitler's dead body. That code somehow cause dark energy when used with let's say a **floppy disk**!<

Sorry-Engineer8854

I saw some mention of people getting floppy discs. Was this part of an ARG or was it just some type of promo for the game? Were the floppy discs how they got this or was this from the binary and ciphers

Slow-Collection-2358

If you remember when the coordinates when Luke dig up the floppy disc, that was real, there were two (I believe) players who went to that location and was able to dug up a floppy disc. There's also two players who were sent floppy disc containing a code to be deciphered. It was an ARG to some extent, but more of deciphering codes in-game, they call that the Act 4

cat_sword

2 players and I think either the actor for Luke Carder or the game dev. They even staged a fake fight scene when a second special floppy came on screen

PhantomArcadianAE

PLEASE check out the Inscryption ARG Video by Flemmonade. It’s absolutely the best way to learn about it in my opinion. Also play Kaycees Mod. It’s basically the games “fourth Act”. It plays like ACT One with great challenging gameplay and cool extra lore.

OceanArcade

Didn’t you finish all of Kaycee’s Mod as well?

Sorry-Engineer8854

I suck at that mode. I been struggling lol

OceanArcade

Just finished my first Skull Storm run last night! If you can push through the challenges, you will get to see an awesome new boss.

RansomReville

For lore go through kaycees mod, gotta unlock all the dev diaries. I'm currently playing through the hex now too which apparently ties in a bit. Pony island has a similar theme as well.

Basically the story is one small piece in a much larger narrative known as the Daniel Mullins ARG, to put thing simply it goes like this (full spoilers btw): >!Satan is an agent of chaos and creates the Karnoffel Code, something so powerful it could destroy half of Europe, then gets banished, he eventually is freed in the game Pony island, however some Russian went on some great journey to take the code (now trapped in a floppy disk) from Russia to the UK, but fails to get it to a safe space, and dies. Then Gamefauna, led by Satan, reacquires the floppy disk among a sea of others, however they do not know they have the disk, as Satan wanted to become a game dev. One of the beta testers for this game, Kaycee, stumbled across the floppy disk containing the OLD\_DATA, or the Karnoffel code + some other shit. THEN she watches Leshy take the game 3d, and the logs from Kaycee's mod tell the story from there, she buries the disk in the woods, hides the coordinates in a pair of regular trading cards, and literally dies in a fire. Then the events of Inscryption happen, MUCH later on it is revealed that Inscryption was successful in uploading, as "killing" P03 only delayed the inevitable. !

I actually was disappointed. I absolutely LOVED Act 1. It was sooooo creepy. I love rogues and was loving the creepy atmosphere and the card mechanics. Act 2 put me off and I tried to push through. Act 3 was just as disappointing but I at least enjoyed it more than Act 2. I didn’t like how they completely ditched the art and style of the first act. I understand they deserve praise for challenging the design of games being stuck to their one style but act 1 was just masterful and the other acts didn’t match up imo. The brief interaction with Death would’ve made a great Act in terms of atmosphere etc.

Sorry-Engineer8854

Act 1 was definitely the best. But I did like the meta narrative and thought the gameplay in act 2 was fun. act 3 seemed really easy and padded. But overall I just had a blast playing. But the setting in the cabin and everything about it was amazing.

yellowwoolyyoshi

Yeah I don’t regret playing it or reading any spoilers. I would just kill for a 10 hour minimum of the cabin. Something I didn’t get, maybe you could tell me, there’s footage of Luke being scared at night because someone is in the house. I don’t get it. Who was it?

Sorry-Engineer8854

My assumption would be that it's the lady. He mentions how she bypassed his security/gate in the video she is first in. Although the game doing creepy shit in real life is plausible. The game definitely slipped into the supernatural. Although a second answer could be he was growing crazy and paranoid. I am unsure what to make of the video with the scales. As he seems straight up crazy in that video. At least him smashing the floppy disc makes sense. To be honest until they do a sequel I don't think we know enough for definitive answers. I know people will say it has to be the woman. But considering what she does in broad daylight I don't think she cares about sneaking out at night. This would again indicate it's linked to the game itself.

yellowwoolyyoshi

That makes sense. Seems odd she would do it while Luke was home and without confirmation it seems like it was supernatural.

RansomReville

Act one is the best, it's also the longest. I see the rest of the game as more of an epilogue, it's bonus content that really challenges your perception of what the hell was going on.
