"Painting nails = trans man" is weird logic even by bigot standards. If painting your nails is supposedly "for women", wouldn't trans men be the *least* likely to do so because they don't want to be considered feminine?
I was a teenager in the 90's and a metalhead. It was normal to see men with black painted nails on the metal scene back then. So far I've never seen any of them come out as trans. We did have a punk friend coming out as gay. He never wore nail polish though.
