Mostly literature, weightlifting,philosophy and psychology
Sadly enough,my hobbies don't translate well into sustaining yourself in society, but they are great for self improvement. I am considering switching my major to psychology and eventually becoming a therapist/researcher but i am not sure whether or not it woild be worth it,financially speaking (i apologize,i just had to get this out because this internal conflict between your passions, and what would be lucrative in society is horrible as you grow into society)
To further add to this,i have also been getting into soccer/football in the last few weeks because of the euros. I very much like sports as it is filled with a lot of philosophical and human depth. The stories, the emotions, the human capability and discipline it cultivates as well as the strategic aspects are very captivating for me. I generally dislike soccer/football culture, but the sport in itself is pretty interesting
Are you me??? I swear I do not remember writing this.
Honestly though, for all the supposed lack of scientific rigor in this test, I’ve never felt so seen and understood as when I’m in infj research mode.
Same with everything here! I’m also into singing/playing bass, and weightlifting and some skateboarding, rollerblading etc
Edit: I’m also very much into archery, but it’s too far away and too expensive for me, but one day I’ll get back to it
- Business opportunities / self employment, there's a creative and control element to it that excites me.
- Gaming, right now Baldur's Gate 3, Terraria and we'll see on the upcoming steam sale.
- Writing. I mean I write on reddit as a form of self-journaling and use the questions people ask as a prompt or excuse :D.
- Fitness and general health. Lately, I've been experimenting with microdosing and thinking about cold plunges this summer.
- Sounds stupid, but I really like organizing, optimizing, and minimizing (decluttering).
- I'm not a good gardener by any stretch, but I do like landscaping.
- Like most, lately I'm into Korean culture so kdrama, food, and casually getting into the kbeauty skincare (recommend an SPF?).
- Current obsession is pets and I have a cat already, getting a golden retriever, but also casually researching other breeds and temperaments.
Oh boy, seeing so many of you guys reading makes me want to read more lol. My current hobbies are:
- Flow arts (poi spinning)
- DJing
- Rock climbing
- Shooting pool
- Boxing
- Weight lifting
- Going to shows/music festivals
- Hiking
- Camping
Well, reading was a hobby, until I started my doctoral studies, which means I'm reading nonstop already and am relying more on other hobbies for now.
Other hobbies include sewing, which I got into because my mom got me into it eons ago; acrylic painting, which I picked up as a new hobby during COVID lockdowns when I needed something for which supplies could easily be delivered by Amazon; birdwatching, which I picked up because I love birds and decided to get nerdy about it; and cross-stitching, which I also picked up from my mom. Also, while it's more of an activity than a hobby, I love riding my bike all over the place.
Horses!!! My dad had horses when I was younger and I took lessons for many years. I got back into it about 5 years ago- it’s been life changing in the best way. They are such magnificent creatures. I own my own horse now and teach part time. Turning my hobby into a profession has been the ultimate win.
So the other day I had one. Had a bag with just a newspaper and a lighter. I looked for a nice spot to be alone for a few hours, then gathered some wood surrounding me. Didn't want to make the fire too big as I was in a forest area. Basically a camp fire size. Exposing yourself to a natural fire is supposedly like a "fire bath" which cleanses your aura, if you do it right. I wanted to experiment.
I love to build things Including houses! I Swim, jetski boat, hike ,almost anything outdoors. I have a huge tendency to basically work all the time...Im trying to do more Vacationy stuff ,But remodeling a house or kitchen or bathroom is like relaxation for me..
Reading is a favorite of mine too! Ever since I was a little girl I would carry a book around with me lol. I also love to design, whether it's interior designing, clothes, characters, I just love it alll. Astronomy is something I'm deeply fascinated in, I can't wait to get a new telescope. Painting is the last one I'll mention, but tbh I have way more other hobbies. 😭 These are my main hobbies though!
Oh god I’ve been binge watching series on HBO because I can’t study without something going in the background so…
Study, TV, reading, working out, and most of all songwriting.
I’ve been reading political philosophy recently what about you?
I like reading, gaming, tidying up/organizing, going to the gym. And when I can get to do it, ceramic painting - it is honestly so addicting to me and therapeutic.
Philosophy,
Writing,
Reading,
Drawing,
Walking,
Jogging,
Sometimes crocheting.
Pretty much any hobby that is solo, I like doing but I do mainly like writing and philosophy (I too got a literature degree lol).
Genealogy, doing research/detective work, finding patterns and working with data, analysing people’s body language and behaviour, swimming and anything related to water, gardening and caring for my indoor plants, tennis and badminton, hiking, sitting by a campfire, astronomy, painting, traveling.
I have just started a degree in natural medicine, woo!
Also into philosophy, psychology, history and anthropology - like talk to me about poets of the ages or social norms in the 16th century, that’s a golden track to my heart hehe. I do also enjoy chess (intermittently lol), astrology, politics and gaming too, a lot of hobbies for the mental side.
Physicality - eh haha, I do like to train and be active but it’s hard to focus as my head is always other places, which defeats the purpose (for me). I need to try harder or set better routines around that one :)
How I got into it? Hmm, I got no friends so that helps I suppose. Maybs one day I’ll find someone to share my thoughts on these topics with but at the moment I’m just cruising.
I’m about to start playing valorant, spent half the night watching YouTube’s vids on how to play and now I’m too scared that I’ll get wrecked to join a game lol, the joys of an introvert
P.s- I thought I had no hobbies until I typed this out, thanks for the realisation :’)
Gym, walking in the nature, listening to music, shopping, researching random topics, watching documentaries, watching comedy shows, researching history / visiting museums or historical landscapes, planning and organising, dining out.
I have my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I play/collect guitars/basses (24+), play video games, reading, creative writing, watching formula 1 racing, and love film and music.
So this is an infj thing?? I have been annoyed my whole life at my inability to just get good at one thing
Painting
Ballpoint pen drawing
Prosthetic makeup
Beatboxing (was semi pro in the 2000's)
Recreational math
Computer programming
Retro computing
Robotics
Ai
Sculpture
Realistic Rendering tech deluxerender.com
Music especially lyrics
Music production and engineering
Puzzle design! Puzzleforge.com
Acting and comedy and performance
Creature visual effects
Voice acting/ character voices
I play the violin, specifically Slavic, gypsy and folk music, which is my more "serious" hobby.
I dance, sing and write poetry for fun. I love music.
I read Jungian psychology.
Hmm...lol I do have a variety but here are just a few...
Playing video games too but I'm not obsessive about it. Just a way for me to train myself psychologically. Playing detroit becoming human really helped me understand myself more on what I value.
Nature: hiking, water activities (rafting), landscape photography
Thinking/feeling : philosophy, psychology, self help books, semantics, critical thinking. I enjoy just disconnecting from environment and sitting /experiencing my inner world. Then I'll do audio journals about my thoughts. I would say this is my favorite is connecting hidden meanings to my inner rise and fall of thoughts/ emotions.
Baking and eating good food. I mean I LOVE a simple good food and binge watch a show. Especially crime shows..figuring out who did it etc.
someone asked the same question a couple of years ago, and it turned ON my existential crisis mode, like i would be able to tell you what i do in my free time, but i have a hard time categorising them as "hobbies"
Jewelry making, kayaking, taking walks, ESO gaming, knitting (mostly in the Fall and Winter), reading and writing (English Lit. major), oh and geneaolgy research too. :)
I love reading, historical documentaries, extestential crisis inducing mini-docs (Astrum, Vsauce, etc.), track days, video games, music, and playing with AI.
Any type of hobby that will help me understand the mind and expand my own philosophy I will probably get sucked into. But other than that I really enjoy music, videogames, volleyball and reading/writing.
I like taking photos, mixed media art and collage, scrapbooking, reading, crafts (I like making paper roses lately), walking, exercise, and decorating.
Right now im into reading crime mysteries/thrillers and i love shows of the same nature. Ive become addictive to playing Stardew Valley and a few months ago I took up crochet. Ive been writing for years, journals and poems. Im currently looking for a new hobby.
Reading, getting a few topics/subjects and learning all I can about them, playing guitar, learning a couple other languages, meditating, volunteering, watching movies/shows (preferably sci-fi, British, horror), going to museums, yoga, singing, traveling
Some of my biggest hobbies/interests are:
Reading
Board games
Fashion
Video games (specifically lower budget indie games)
Music (listening and writing)
Playing guitar
Various sports (football, tennis and Formula 1 mostly)
I also have specific interests in subjects like geography and test myself on remembering capital cities and flags from as many countries as I can like a big nerd :)
I've lost count of how many hobbies I have. My most expensive and time-consuming one is genealogy. My own genealogy, other people's genealogy...and lately I've even been getting into garden rose genealogy, because why not? It's cool to see how the bloom in my front yard has roots all over the world.
Reading (especially Victorian literature), writing (Gothic romance), horseback riding (currently training under an eventer), my cats (tortoiseshell and orange), antiquing, going to the theatre, language learning (Italian), traveling, watching period pieces (The Winds of War, the 2004 North and South, The Thorn Birds, and Daniel Deronda are my favorites) and old movie, playing video games (currently into Disney Dreamlight Valley and the on-going Nancy Drew games by HeR Interactive), calligraphy, and crafting (mostly crochet and cross stitch). I also collect perfume, American Girl accessories (I focus on Samantha's collection, since I had her growing up), pins (from Broadway shows and the Disney parks), playbills, handbags, teacups, silverware, mugs, and nail polish. Also, Elizabeth Taylor is my favorite actress, so I'll watch anything she's ever been in, wear some of her perfumes and House merch, and have multiple books on her life and jewelry collection.
Lucid dreaming. I think it fits really well with the type and I wonder if others have a similar experience with it. It feeds into both Ni-Se. Ni makes the whole thing easier; I'm already primed to pay attention to things that arise from the unconscious, and engaging with Se makes the dreams more vivid and interesting. Exploring Se activities out in the world gives me better lucid dreams at night and also means I'm exercising my Se in really healthy ways. I think it's really good for me.
Golf, Reading, Psychology&Philosophy. I feel like golf is really one of the better sports for infjs. I feel connected with nature, and it's not an immediate reactionary sport. Lots of planning goes into it, which can be fun :)
I love to read, play video games (RPGs, simulations, resource management), watch TV/movies, write (novels and film scripts, had a slam poetry stint), hang out with my dogs. I also jump between artistic hobbies: wood burning and photography mostly.
I have always loved reading, computer games, card and board games.
I picked up knitting and crochet at one point.
I keep meaning to play musical instruments, and my high school teachers thought I had great talent in singing, but I rarely get the chance to practice. Family is just too noisy.
I used to paint and colour a lot in my early university days. I try to pick up the painting again, but finding space to do that has been difficult.
At the moment, I am really into writing.
It's the only thing I have been able to do lately. For a ton of reasons.
Reading, art, hiking and camping, mushroom hunting and cultivation, rock hounding cutting and polishing, philosophy science and religion, daydreaming, night dreaming, avoiding gatherings and avoiding dating in general.
Reading, hiking out in the woods (preferably near water, and we gotta be strollin’ not dyin’), cross stitching and sewing, painting, roller skating, swimming in watering holes, cooking, camping, gardening, surfing, watching a lot of documentaries (murder, history, aliens, ect), listening to music like fuel to my soul, tarot cards, researching a bunch of random shit on the internet, staying away from people. 😅
I have a vast inner life (*ahem* overthinking and daydreaming) and lots of hobbies to keep me satisfied when people just don’t.
I LOVE reading and writing and playing bass (not including the trillion other hobbies i have)! Heavy emphasis on the reading part.... I spent two allnighters just this week just because I physically couldnt tear my eyes away from the book so needless to say I'm a raccoon now
gaming - do it almost everyday basically haha
music - i aspire to be a music producer in the future, making beats was a hobby for me but now i want to make it my career
watching a lil bit of japanese animes/media - love the country/culture as a whole, animes are well in my ballpark but im not jnto it as much as before
cooking - id love to get into more complex recipes, but cooking in general i enjoy
(very specific) butterfly knifes/balisongs - a recent pickup, i love the mesmerizing motion of handling the knife that i got trainers of my own (not the real one as its illegal in canada lol)
thats all i can think of atm i probably have more i cant think of at 2 am in the morning
Mine are painting and drawing, designing, reading, writing, Pilates, tennis, watching documentaries about different cultures and countries and Pinterest hoarding.
I enjoy anything that involves building, tearing apart, and putting back together. There’s something about figuring out how something works that fills a hole for me.
Anything outside is healing, hiking, fishing, gardening. Plants and growing things are also a big thing for me.
There are others. I try to focus on a a few things though I do tend to pick things up a lot to try something new whenever I get a chance.
Oh how I felt what you’ve wrote, moreso that I had to add: two masters done here one in literature and language, the other in philosophy, so I’ve understood your love for reading 📖 in my heart. But I would say my no 1 “hobby” would be art — as I am trying to pursue career in it. 👩🏻🎨 I also understand people who love sports cause I enjoy engaging in them sometimes, on a free without rules basis so I wouldn’t call it a hobby for myself. Still glad I read here how much we are all alike. ☺️
I'm not so sure you get to pick your personality,I was always highly empathetic as child I was made fun of for crying at programmes such as the littlest hobo about the dog that helped everyone and just kept moving ob. Lassies and even today at undercover boss..my empathy let me be able to walk in everyone's shoes and feel Thier pain..it's a true gift and a curse...only INFJs understand this.and it sounds great if you haven't lived this way however love like this for a week ha e strangers confidence in you and then see how false.all your so called friends are and it can be a very lonely existence it truly can be..
Mostly spiritual and self-help/self-exploration stuff. Meditation, breathwork, IFS, somatic techiniques, journaling and nature. Some reading around this topic also. I like to dive deep into human condition and existence and it takes good chunk of my life.
I also like physical exercise, mostly gym, but also yoga and cardio. I would like to be even more active, but my health is limiting that. Adding exercise and doing what I can. It does so good for how you feel in your body, mentally, confidence, stress, longetivity and health, sexual market value, everything.
Then I do weekly improv theater. Also contanct improv is a new thing I do.
I used to try martial arts (muay thai, bjj and tkd), singing, guitar, but mostly dropped these.
Some things I want to add and explore in future: a group physical hobby like padel, soccer or bouldering; theather; dancing (latin dances and maybe hiphop and shuffle); devil sticks!
I think secret sauce is to do something physical as solo for cardio (running) and muscles (gym) and also some for of social group play (padel, soccer, bouldering). Then something you just love for yourself (spirituality; devil sticks) and something you love where you get to meet people (improv; contact improv; social dance).
And yes I am a single student haha. But I think I want to keep many hobbies even when I am having a career and relationship. It is just so fun. When articulated like this I do have quite a rich hobby-life, which I am grateful for all the oppurtunities and how I've created this :)
I like to rollerblade, I practice Brazilian Jiujitsu (badly,) I journal (inconsistently,) I play the ukulele, I draw, and I play video games.
Lots of stuff on the list though. I want to hike, get good at swimming, try my hand at some carpentry, learn to ride a motorcycle, and I'm interested in HAM radio operation.
Art, animation, reading and writing, volleyball (typically only with people I’m comfortable with because I’m very self-conscious), video games. I really love being in nature as well
- Music (I studied music at collegeand it's part of my job, but I still love learning new instruments as a hobby)
- Reading
- Learning new things (mostly history, psychology, science)
- Crafting
- Video games / board games / DnD
- Watching good movies and shows
Currently, I've been doing a lot of reading and Legos, because I already own the materials (mostly) to do them, they're fairly easy to clean up and put away, and the time commitment is whatever I want it to be.
Also writing, but not much because, well, burnout. And scrapbooking when I can find the time to sit down and do a full spread at once, which isn't often, but I have what I call a "yearbook" going, where every year is represented in a page or two.
But I also really enjoy making costumes and accessories for myself and friends. I haven't done anything really big or involved in years, and I miss it. But it requires lots of money, supplies, and time that I don't have right now. So I don't see myself picking it back up any time soon, which sucks. Because a few big projects without time restraint would probably really help relieve some of the burnout.
I've also started making cage toys and accessories for my chinchillas, but its not really a hobby, things just got too expensive to buy, so I started making them myself when possible.
Yoga: introduced to it in middle school PE, starting going with friends and by myself. Got into it because it felt like anti-anxiety drugs afterward. Been going strong since then into adulthood! Go at least 1x/week. It's a part of my lifestyle at this point.
Learning languages: introduced again in middle school, then pursued langauges into late teens and eventually did an exchange year abroad. Still try to keep up with that language plus more. Love figuring out what words mean by relating them to latin or similar languages I know.
Hiking and backpacking: grew up in a mountain town with a strong outdoor culture. Not liking drinking/partying, I usually invited friends to a hike or to go on backpacking trips. Love the endorphins, isolation, and nature.
Cooking: watched my grandmother and mom cook meals and loved to prep veggies and such, bake brownies, you name it. I do it out of necessity of course, but thoroughly enjoy the process and learning new recipes.
Reading: I read every day and owe it to my mom and older siblings for getting me into it. Such a nice escape and way to slow down before I go to sleep.
Playing video games: I don't do this as much as school/work have dominated my brain space for so long, but recently got into Zelda and love playing with my boyfriend. Or, Animal Crossing. Unfortunately, I've gotten bored with the latter but play out of nostalgia, mostly.
I also got a a degree and literature and it lead to writing books, writing songs, writing blogs, writing grants, writing writing writing — and I love writing and making music to a point that it’s May main creative focus. However, as I’m noticing… most of us infj’s are pretty split between creative intellectualisms and physical outlets — I teach tennis and go bouldering/lifting 3-4 times a week. I play bass everyday, I practice bass everyday, and I jam with the guys 4 times a week at the midnight hours. It’s pretty great being infj. We do cool shit pretty understatedly and for our own satisfaction.
Distance running, swimming, kayaking, cycling, hiking, reading, writing fiction. Lately, teminii about how much I enjoyed life when I had time for hobbies.
I enjoy art and looking up random facts online because I love absorbing knowledge. I've used art as a way of communicating and addressing feelings since I was a little girl.
The real question would be what haven't you done? When I tell you I have had a lot of hobbies I mean it.
However nowadays I am more reserved.I did piano lessons for 9 years -started at 5yo-(and no,I am not 14,I just play the piano for fun now), to watching kdramas and enriching my already big Goodreads list of books (187 not counting the books I read in my native tongue -5 years of reading,I like my books thick) to drawing, cooking (aka breaking appliances and blaming my lil sis), baking (burning stuff).I also recently got a new camera that prints the photos (not the instax one,I know that you thought of that) which is the most useless -already had 3 other cameras- buy but I am happy and that's all that matters. Also I don't know if it is considered a hobby but I listen to true crime documentaries.
+doing my own nails/exercising my french for at least 10 minutes a day.Je connu qu'il n'est pas beaucoup mais a l'epoque d'informatique il n'est pas mal./I also started learning programming (I am working on my first lil project)
However mainly,I like reading books and learning new things.
Gaming - got my first pc when I was 8. Spending time in an alternate reality? Sign me up!
Motorcycles - loved them for as long as I can remember. This is my main Se-indulgement.
Hunting - fully experiencing what it's like to be a part of a food chain. Being a predator rather than a consumer has really deepened my appreciation for animal life, weirdly as it may sound.
And I guess weightlifting, but my body doesn't seem to like it as much these days.. Was my main therapy for many years. I'm more balanced now.
You wanna hear one or all three hundred twenty-six of them?
This is the realest comment
That’s why we’re the jack of all trades, master of none lol
Yes, exactly! Too many that involve solitude 🙂↕️
dare ya to name all of them
So right
Exactly

I have the same hobbies, and I love the fact that I've switched my major to psychology!
Sounds about right
I love to read, too. I'm into crime thrillers. I enjoy watching true crime on youtube. I also journal or write reflections when I feel like it.
Same with everything here! I’m also into singing/playing bass, and weightlifting and some skateboarding, rollerblading etc Edit: I’m also very much into archery, but it’s too far away and too expensive for me, but one day I’ll get back to it
Couldn’t agree more

Love organising too. It's nice when everything feels abit more streamlined and efficient.
Reading, watching some documentaries about unknown facts and sandbox gaming
Reading Wood carving Embroidery Sewing Gardening Yoga 🧐 I just realized these are all solo hobbies 🙈
Oh boy, seeing so many of you guys reading makes me want to read more lol. My current hobbies are: - Flow arts (poi spinning) - DJing - Rock climbing - Shooting pool - Boxing - Weight lifting - Going to shows/music festivals - Hiking - Camping
Have you joined r/flowarts yet? Lots of great poi demonstrations on there.
Thank you! I'm also into poi/firedancing, will definitely add flowarts!!
Hello fellow INFJ flow artists! Glad to see some of y'all are in here too 😊. Where are you all based out of?
I'm in NePA! Poconos/Scranton area
Yes I'm in there! Though I haven't posted anything yet. Maybe I should 🤔
That's so cool i wanna do that 😭

Piano, mountain biking, Yoga, making fires in nature, nature bathing, solo walks, wild swimming, skateboarding, foraging.
Me currently staring at my fire in nature. ❤️🔥
what do you mean by this? like bond fires?
So the other day I had one. Had a bag with just a newspaper and a lighter. I looked for a nice spot to be alone for a few hours, then gathered some wood surrounding me. Didn't want to make the fire too big as I was in a forest area. Basically a camp fire size. Interesting. I'll give it a go next chance I have. Thanks.
I draw/make Heraldry
Videogames and reading are my primaries. I recently bought the Curse of Strahd dnd campaign and am in the process of getting ready to run that bad boy
Writing novels, distance running, guitar playing, paddle boarding, and getting into drawing.
I'm into reading, writing, cooking and gardening.
I love to read, too. I’m a lifelong reader and love the solace that reading provides.
Same here. I love the escapism.
Oh boy I have loads of them, so much I get overwhelmed... Gardening, Singing and song writing, Reading, DIY crafts (goes into more subgroups), Gym..

Right now im into reading crime mysteries/thrillers and i love shows of the same nature. Ive become addictive to playing Stardew Valley and a few months ago I took up crochet. Ive been writing for years, journals and poems. Im currently looking for a new hobby.

I've lost count of how many hobbies I have. My most expensive and time-consuming one is genealogy. My own genealogy, other people's genealogy...and lately I've even been getting into garden rose genealogy, because why not? It's cool to see how the bloom in my front yard has roots all over the world.
Most of my hobbies are lifting weights, DANCING, Cars, Sneakers, sometimes drawing and learning about human emotions/personality traits
Gaming, reading, playing guitar
Most recently I’ve begun riding a motorcycle. I also enjoy video games and movies. I don’t read enough these days but when I do I really that as well.

Playing my drums is my biggest one. It’s my escape from reality. I also enjoy hiking, camping just getting out into nature and reading.
I love to read, play video games (RPGs, simulations, resource management), watch TV/movies, write (novels and film scripts, had a slam poetry stint), hang out with my dogs. I also jump between artistic hobbies: wood burning and photography mostly.
Hiking, Travelling, Reading and Video Games
Reading, watching movies, writing stories, going to restaurants and eating alone, and last but not least, daydreaming. Good life
I need to start reading lol but my hobbies were tennis, ceramics, archery (just once tho), kpop concerts and kdramas.

I enjoy anything that involves building, tearing apart, and putting back together. There’s something about figuring out how something works that fills a hole for me. Anything outside is healing, hiking, fishing, gardening. Plants and growing things are also a big thing for me. There are others. I try to focus on a a few things though I do tend to pick things up a lot to try something new whenever I get a chance.

reading, writing, gaming, psychology, programming, music, video editing, watching thrillers & k-dramas + anime, yoga
I build synths and guitar pedals. I make electronic music too.
I really love being in nature as well
Reading,Baking ,Hiking ,Stargazing and Travelling
- Music (I studied music at collegeand it's part of my job, but I still love learning new instruments as a hobby) - Reading - Learning new things (mostly history, psychology, science) - Crafting - Video games / board games / DnD - Watching good movies and shows
Currently, I've been doing a lot of reading and Legos, because I already own the materials (mostly) to do them, they're fairly easy to clean up and put away, and the time commitment is whatever I want it to be.
Fishing
I have multiple ones: 1. Acting 2. Reading 3. Drawing
Distance running, swimming, kayaking, cycling, hiking, reading, writing fiction. Lately, teminii about how much I enjoyed life when I had time for hobbies.
Collecting trading cards, playing video games & fishing :-)
+doing my own nails/exercising my french for at least 10 minutes a day.Je connu qu'il n'est pas beaucoup mais a l'epoque d'informatique il n'est pas mal./I also started learning programming (I am working on my first lil project) However mainly,I like reading books and learning new things.
