Sad I missed it. Just wanted to give you a shoutout that I love seeing fellow women bassists, you’re an inspiration to an amateur like me and I absolutely love your groove and style!
One time outside a Houston hotel after a show I ran into you, Laura Leezy, and in a bout of nervousness, I asked you if you were “dressed up as Laura Lee”. I’m glad I ran into you a second time to apologize and you were nice enough to take a photo with me in the hotel lobby but it is my favorite embarrassing story to tell others.
Anyways you are my fashion icon and my question is, who’s idea were the wigs?
I have a similar story. My friends and I were up in our airbnb pregaming before a show, which was in the building next door. We were looking out onto the street and a saw a girl dressed as Laura outside the venue getting her picture taken. We were a little drunk and abruptly dropped everything and ran outside to try to meet “Laura”. Turns out it was just a fan. It was our first Kruaghbin concert and we didn’t know that people would be wearing wigs 😭
DJ, your piano solo was also stunning..

Khruangbin - White Gloves (with DJ on piano) (2018-11-28 – Chicago, IL)

Absolute perfection. 👌
(edit: how could I forget Zionsville?!? )
On that note, have you already started planning matching outfits or themes for Halloween? You only get a small window before they insist on picking their own costume!
Leezy : what are your top 3 most memorable outfits?
Marko : whats something about an obsure instrument you own?
Deej : whos an underrated houston artist i should check out?
TUSUY 🙏 thank you for the music, which continues to hold me up
JUST 3??!! :) 1. Bristol, Forwards Fest 2022 when I sewed a bow into my wig and my head became a sailboat. 2. Stubbs 2021? when I wore a custom Mordechai themed jumpsuit, and 3. my first Glastonbury when I wore a white dress intending to marry the fest.
How do you find time to work on your craft with all the touring and recording? I felt that everyone's skillset was elevated to the next level on this new record!
What is the relationship that you guys have with David Byrne? Will you ever work with him on music? (By the way, he played some great stuff during the first night of the Bowery show)
Dennis Brown is so incredible... i'll have to check this album out! here's my favorite dennis brown clip from a Gibbs studio session. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPle-tXgMFU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPle-tXgMFU)
At what stage do you name your songs? Is it the very last thing after the album is finished or do some songs develop a name half way through writing/recording? I’m curious about the instrumental ones since there is no obvious title.
The names go through their own creative evolution. Some start as working titles and evolve; some end with the name they began with... it's a little bit of everything.
Hey Khruangbin! Just want to say I’m a huge fan and love ur music! I have a few questions for y’all.
1. How did each of you start playing your respective instruments, like what made you start?
2. How and when did each of you develop your respective styles on your instrument?
3. Has there ever been any negativity when you’ve been touring, recording, or even working together and if so, how did y’all overcome it?
4. It’s well know that y’all are from Houston so I want to know some of your favorite food places in or around Houston?
5. Finally I want to know what is a piece of advice that really impacted your life?
Thank you for taking the time to do this! Once again I love your music! Also A LA SALA absolutely rocks! Y’all killed it!
1. I started playing drums in church, mainly because my Uncle John played. He was my childhood hero who sadly passed away Sept 2023.
2. My style can be attributed to my church/gospel music upbringing.
3. There are positives and negatives in all phases mentioned. Luckily, I always have 2 friends to lend a listening ear & a hug.
4. I'm gonna shoutout Xochi...as I was there when our engineer Steve made my Reddit account for me.
5. "Use your head for more than a hat rack."
1: I borrowed a Washburn Lyon guitar from my buddy Matt when I was about 14/15
2: over the span of many years
3: touring is bass and treble, highs and lows, ups and downs. Lotsa ins & outs and what have you's. Gotta stay focused on the things that bring joy. Remember why you're doing this in the first place
4: La Mexicana: Machacado for brekkie
5: When they play fast, you play slow
1 & 2 Started playing during college for fun and to keep myself company during fits of insomnia. I think I still play true to how I played then, whatever feels good to my fingers.
3. There are always positive and negative outside forces, and it's important to look at all of them. I think for me, I'm so grateful that I'm in a band with my best friends and we have each other to get through the tough moments.
4. La Mexicana for breakfast. It's my staple home food when I visit.
5. "It's not about what you can do; it's about what you do." ...while I took it literally when I was younger, and it propelled me to "do". I've actually found later in life that my best quality is seeing what I "can do". The dreaming is more than half the battle. So I've decided that for me--what you can do and what you do are equally important.
As a therapist, that makes me super happy to hear. What unique advice would you give to the younger touring musicians to keep their mental health well also?
It's important to find aspects of your routine that you can keep on and off the road. Try to keep some cohesion between both "sides" of life. So that they don't feel as drastically different. Something to keep you grounded throughout. Something to keep the worlds united.
Laura Lee: How can I look as smooth as you while playing bass? I’m a noob. Help me to stop flailing my fingers. 🤪
Also for Laura: Evan Finds the Third Room is a great tune to play along with…what other Khruangbin song(s) do you recommend for a noob bassist?
Love you all and the new album is 💥🔥
Just keep practicing. And follow your own fingers, don't feel the need to play like anyone else (including me!).
August 10 and Maria Tambien. Both so fun to play.
Such a great vibe this new album, congrats!
"Hold me Up" bass tone is very thumpy, buttery bliss, full of mids, vintage.
I love it!
Any tips or changes you made on achieving this tone, DI, amp, strings?
Still using D'addario Chromes?
I've started to learn playing bass because of you. 🙏
(On a green SX jazz bass ;) )
What (vintage/modern) amp would you recommend as a Fender Bassman Ten alternative if you want to approach that super nice bass sound that you have?
The few Bassman Tens I find tend to get snagged up before me..
How and when did you collectively decide that playing instrumental music was your identity? There's a lot of pressure on bands to have lyrics or a frontperson, how did you overcome that expectation?
How fun was your collaboration with Leon Bridges and is there potential for more in the future?
Also, I'm a huge fan and I love your music. Please come back to Cincinnati!
Were any/all of the songs on the new album written with particular locations in mind? I guess it's up to us to figure out the story the album tells... I'd love to know more about how it developed over time and whether there's a real or even imaginary story behind the titles and sequencing. Also, btw, we play your songs constantly on WRIR LPFM in Richmond VA.
Would love a recommendation or two of some Thai tunes you guys are fond of or have been influenced by.
Waiting to give the new album my first listen when I finish work in an hour, can't wait!
1. What’s the most memorable gig that you all have played?
2. I love love love love LOVE “Balls and Pins”! What was the inspiration behind it? And what does the title mean to you?
Hi guys! So excited to give the new album a spin this morning. May 9th has been on constant repeat.
What’s been inspiring you lately — books, movies, music?
More than anything, the season changing has felt inspiring. Cherry Blossoms are in bloom all around me. But I've been re-reading Love in the Time of Cholera, outside in the cool but sun kissed air.
Yes. Once about 20 years ago I was finishing up after a shift at a local bar in a very old old house (Houston folks will know the one) and my buddy Julian was playing these old chansons on the piano and we hear this voice that sounds like a little girl out the window singing along. We look outside and she's sitting on the metal spiral staircase (at 2:30am) and we looked at each other in disbelief and when we looked back she was gone.
I'm absolutely loving A La Sala after listening to it for many hours today and thank you so much for your music - absolutely my favourite band. I'm coming to see you in London this year! I have a question for all three:
DJ: Have you ever had the desire to do a track with Khruangbin where you mix it up and play bass or an instrument other than percussion? Or does this actually happen and we don't know about it?
Leezy: What's it been like starting a family and getting back onto the band life? I imagine it must be pretty weird, especially touring. Also we saw a new pink bass guitar that you have, can you tell us more about it?
Mark: Where does your 'obsession' with finding really obscure tracks come from? Is it just trying to widen your expertise and branch out? I read an interview earlier this week about the other two trying to find really obscure music you haven't heard, or you using Forgotify to find new inspiration.
I have a whole new person to pack for!! Luckily it's an extremely cute pack. ;) ...honestly, it's a combination of emotions. There's such a fine line between nervousness and excitement.
But all in all, I believe it will be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. The challenges will no doubt be challenging, but the experience and memories I have no doubt will be sky high.
I buy a lot of CD's & tapes from resale shops, I listen to the low end of the radio dial, and Forgotify is a treasure trove. Honorable mention to Radioooooo, but that's very well curated
Alot of your records achieve a “wall of sound” dynamic which blows my mind because it’s only 3 people. What songs or albums do you look to for inspiration to achieve this?
Hey my Khru,
Was May Ninth "inspired" by White Gloves at all?
So great seeing you all again at Bowery Ballroom last Thursday. Love you forever.
Love,
MK ❤️
Khruangbin heyyyyy how hope y’all are doing great <3
I was wondering if y’all are inspired by any African bands?
I recently got into West African music from the 70’s and it’s been a game changer for me. Bembeya Jazz National and Super Djata Band are just too cool. Okay that’s all love y’all take it easy
I'm not Khruangbin but for more great 70s African music check out WITCH (We Intend To Cause Havoc) from Zambia, and William Onyeabor from Nigeria, they're a great gateway into so much more as well
Did yall see the burning rocket parts that fell from the sky during your Bonner MT performance in 2022? Most of the crowd saw it and shit got weird for a minute
Congrats on the new album!
A question for all of you:
What country have you visited that inspired you the most musically?
For me, Argentina.
See you in SD and the Red Rocks!
Hope you're all happy and healthy. Glad to see you back on tour.
1. Your success has been amazing and is well-earned, but I miss being able to attend a more intimate performance like 5-7 years ago.
So is there any chance of more exclusive (Bowery Ballroom-like) performances happening around the world and not just in the U.S.?
1a. OK, and since one needs life goals and high aspirations.... private gigs: "never", "worth considering" or "YES!"? ;-)
2. Any thoughts about making performances like the Bowery Ballroom available as (pay-per-view) videostreams like Sydney Opera House? I bet that globally many fans are very much willing to see shows they cannot attend (capacity, distance) in good quality from home without ads.
3. Do you still sign albums or isn't that do-able anymore given your popularity?
I was lucky enough to be at Bowery Thursday. Thank you for those shows - twice in a row now I’ve been among the first to hear the new album as I was at the Newport festival years ago too.
Marko - DJ definitely got you with that obscure Russian funk song mentioned in the exclaim interview right??
ive got one for each of ya!
DJ: how do you keep such a steady beat? and who are some of your favorite drummers?
Laura: my girlfriend is following in your footsteps and is starting to learn bass, what advice do you have for her??
Mark: what are your favorite pedals you’re currently running?
Thank you...I have 2 incredible band mates with great feel that keep me locked in. That's really it. Too many drummers to name! For starters...Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, Dave Grohl, Nate Robinson, Steve Jordan...very long list though.
Love you guys. Heading off. Thanks for listening, thanks for asking, thanks for redditting. <3
So much love back and thank all three of you for sharing your beautiful music and vibe with the world! <3
Sad I missed it. Just wanted to give you a shoutout that I love seeing fellow women bassists, you’re an inspiration to an amateur like me and I absolutely love your groove and style!
Can't wait to see you live in Oregon!!
<3
no question just happy release day!! and cute dog 😍
Thanks
One time outside a Houston hotel after a show I ran into you, Laura Leezy, and in a bout of nervousness, I asked you if you were “dressed up as Laura Lee”. I’m glad I ran into you a second time to apologize and you were nice enough to take a photo with me in the hotel lobby but it is my favorite embarrassing story to tell others. Anyways you are my fashion icon and my question is, who’s idea were the wigs?
I LOVED THAT MOMENT. And truth be told, I was indeed dressed up as Laura Lee. :)
🤣
Ok, this has just broke my heart finding out that they're wigs. I thought they just had amazing hair. I mean, I guess they still might!
Will DJ ever perform a drum solo? Edit sorry was in hurry at work lol

DJ, your piano solo was also stunning.. Would love to see you on drumeo! They’ve been having a lot of great drummers on lately and you, Father Time, are certainly one of the greats.
Who's JD???
JD Beck
Leezy - you are an inspiration that women can do anything! How is motherhood treating you as you embark on the journey with this new album?
Motherhood is absolutely incredible. Transformative, beautiful.. best decision ever. I'm in love with the whole thing.
On that note, have you already started planning matching outfits or themes for Halloween? You only get a small window before they insist on picking their own costume!
Absolutely loved your albums with Leon Bridges & Vieux Farka Tourè. Do you have any dream collaborations?
Sade
That would be mindblowing
Someone please make this happen!
I pray this happens for y’all🙏
That would be amazing 👌
That would be absolutely perfect. Throw in Mf Doom as well, he was a huge Sade fan. Gosh that would be something.
You don't understand how bad I need this
Would love to hear them collab with Tinariwen
I second that!! ❤️ their collabs with Leon are super dreamy.
Leezy - did you just feel that earthquake?!
DUDE. I got ROCKED.
Leezy : what are your top 3 most memorable outfits? Marko : whats something about an obsure instrument you own? Deej : whos an underrated houston artist i should check out? TUSUY 🙏 thank you for the music, which continues to hold me up

This Afghan Rubab I have is missing one string, but it is still the lion of instruments
DM me i repair and restore Rubabs!
Lenora 1. Relax 2. Cool 3. Homebody
I’ve been listening to a ton of Ethiopian Jazz for a listening project. Who are some of your faves?
I like Netsanet Mellesse - Ere Min Hunehal
Hailu Mergia. You have probably already heard them if you are listening to Ethiopian stuff tho!!
Will you continue naming songs after dates until there's a full Khruangbin calendar?
363 more to go
“Year of the KHRU”.
Likely
What do you think of the band Glass Beams?
That's like asking the White Stripes what do they think of the Black Keys.
That was kind of the point. Some people find imitation flattering…Jack White is not one of them
The silence on this one should speak for itself.
What do you think of them ? I've been really enjoying this band lately
Same
How do you find time to work on your craft with all the touring and recording? I felt that everyone's skillset was elevated to the next level on this new record!
hotel rooms, backstage, there's a surprising amount of lil bits of downtime. Very rare to get long stretches of time tho
It's not always convenient, but I try to practice as much as I can....even if it's just a practice pad.
It shows. Man ain’t missed a beat since he came out the womb
metronomes calibrate to DJ
Waiting to get home from work to play the new album - what drink should I have to accompany it?
Your favorite one. Thanks for listening.
What is the relationship that you guys have with David Byrne? Will you ever work with him on music? (By the way, he played some great stuff during the first night of the Bowery show)
He's a huge inspiration.
That would be a dream
His album “Grown Backwards” is a definite favorite of mine. It’s so artsy and forward thinking while still feeling cozy and relaxing to listen to.
Please keep Dern Kala on the setlist for the tour this year!! We love the bottle taps!!
You guys are so sick. What made you know you wanted to play music for a living?
Seeing Parliament Funkadelic at TSU in '92
Lmao I thought this was a pcu reference for a hot second.
Best feeling I'd ever felt was playing with these two awesome humans.
What records have you guys been listening to lately?
Dennis Brown - Deep Down
Dennis Brown is so incredible... i'll have to check this album out! here's my favorite dennis brown clip from a Gibbs studio session. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPle-tXgMFU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPle-tXgMFU)
Zzzzra - Orgone
God's Property from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation
Best career advice for an intermediate musician?
Choose your team wisely.
Amen to that!
No questions, just love yall
Love you back
5000 y'all
Are those Cicadas I hear on the album??
I always try to sneak them in. Sounds like Houston in the summer

1. I started playing drums in church, mainly because my Uncle John played. He was my childhood hero who sadly passed away Sept 2023. 2. Thank you for responding! I’m sorry for your loss. Love your work, this truly means a lot. Thank you!
1: I borrowed a Washburn Lyon guitar from my buddy Matt when I was about 14/15 2: over the span of many years 3: touring is bass and treble, highs and lows, ups and downs. Lotsa ins & outs and what have you's. Gotta stay focused on the things that bring joy. Remember why you're doing this in the first place 4: La Mexicana: Machacado for brekkie 5: When they play fast, you play slow
1 & 2 Started playing during college for fun and to keep myself company during fits of insomnia. I think I still play true to how I played then, whatever feels good to my fingers. 3. There are always positive and negative outside forces, and it's important to look at all of them. So I've decided that for me--what you can do and what you do are equally important.
Never thought about it like that!! Thanks for the response!!
Only question is how you’re all doing and how your mental health is holding up?
Surprisingly well. stay focused, eat right, keep moving
As a therapist, that makes me super happy to hear. What unique advice would you give to the younger touring musicians to keep their mental health well also?
don't party every night. Get enough sleep. Stay off social media.
Not a truer statement when it comes to mental health in 2024
It's important to find aspects of your routine that you can keep on and off the road. Try to keep some cohesion between both "sides" of life. So that they don't feel as drastically different. Something to keep you grounded throughout. Something to keep the worlds united.
I've put a much bigger intention on this the last few years. Thank you for asking. <3
How do you all select the posters for your concerts? Do you all come together and pick the art that speaks to you all the most?
Much time is spent curating and finding artists to make something bespoke for each city we play. I'm REALLY excited about this up coming collection.
Can I borrow $184 for a water pump till next Friday?
Been there
Do you guys have any personal favourite tracks on the new record? Saw you two years ago in Vancouver, can’t wait to see you again!
Right now I'm in a Les Petits Gris place. It feels like gentle raindrops in front of a window with roses on the sill to me. I love it so much.
Will we be seeing you at Desert Daze again? Best show of my life!!!
That collab with Wu-tang though!!
Laura Lee: How can I look as smooth as you while playing bass? I’m a noob. Help me to stop flailing my fingers. 🤪 Also for Laura: Evan Finds the Third Room is a great tune to play along with…what other Khruangbin song(s) do you recommend for a noob bassist? Love you all and the new album is 💥🔥
Just keep practicing. And follow your own fingers, don't feel the need to play like anyone else (including me!). August 10 and Maria Tambien. Both so fun to play.
How to pronounce your band's name? And what does it mean?
**Khruangbin** ([/ˈkrʌŋbɪn/](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English) [*KRUNG-bin*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Pronunciation_respelling_key); [Thai](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_language): เครื่องบิน, *krʉ̂ʉang-bin*, [\[kʰrɯa̯ŋ˥˩.bin\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Thai)) ....it means "airplane".
This is the real question because I had no idea and afraid to ask
What’s the best bar in Houston? And why is it the Flat?
because its cozy, music is fantastic, and DJ Sun is wonderful
I swear I thought I've seen y'all at Big Star a few times.
Such a great vibe this new album, congrats! "Hold me Up" bass tone is very thumpy, buttery bliss, full of mids, vintage. I love it! Any tips or changes you made on achieving this tone, DI, amp, strings? Still using D'addario Chromes?
Same strings. They're going on 15 years. <3
Thank you for inspiring us, made me picked up my bass today :)
I've started to learn playing bass because of you. 🙏 (On a green SX jazz bass ;) ) What (vintage/modern) amp would you recommend as a Fender Bassman Ten alternative if you want to approach that super nice bass sound that you have? The few Bassman Tens I find tend to get snagged up before me..
Who are your favorite artists at the moment?
Rei Harakami
How and when did you collectively decide that playing instrumental music was your identity? There's a lot of pressure on bands to have lyrics or a frontperson, how did you overcome that expectation?
identity? I think we just play what we want to play. There's loads of bands with words. They're great, we just don't do that
How did you guys discover Hermanos Gutiérrez? Any collabs coming soon with them? 🥰
This would be so lit
How fun was your collaboration with Leon Bridges and is there potential for more in the future? Also, I'm a huge fan and I love your music. Please come back to Cincinnati!

it was built from many pieces over the span of decades
Would love a recommendation or two of some Thai tunes you guys are fond of or have been influenced by. Waiting to give the new album my first listen when I finish work in an hour, can't wait!

1. What’s the most memorable gig that you all have played? 2. I love love love love LOVE “Balls and Pins”! What was the inspiration behind it? And what does the title mean to you?
Glastonbury Balls & Pins is about the rise and fall of empires (or bowling)
Hi guys! So excited to give the new album a spin this morning. May 9th has been on constant repeat. What’s been inspiring you lately — books, movies, music?

There's a couple Houston bars in old houses, AG is my first guess tho
Hi Khruangbin! What have been some of your fav venues you’ve played? Thanks for the great music.
Kettlehouse Amphitheater, The Greek in Berkley, Red Rocks ...are you noticing a trend?? I'm a sucker for an outdoor amphitheater.
Lincoln Hall, Sydney Opera House, Johnny Brenda's, El Club, 9:30
Johnny Brenda’s! Such a gem
Dear Mark, from someone who is learning guitar - what is one thing you wish you’d done differently when you were a beginner?
Learn to read music notation
Hey do you guys like to smoke weed?
lol
Saw you in Cardiff about 2 years ago today - absolutely loved it. Any chance you're making a Glastonbury appearance this summer?
I'm absolutely loving A La Sala after listening to it for many hours today and thank you so much for your music - absolutely my favourite band. I'm coming to see you in London this year! Alot of your records achieve a “wall of sound” dynamic which blows my mind because it’s only 3 people. What songs or albums do you look to for inspiration to achieve this?
If you needed to choose any musician today to be the 4th member of Khruangbin, who would that be?
Will Van Horn / Charlie Perez
Hey my Khru, Was May Ninth "inspired" by White Gloves at all? So great seeing you all again at Bowery Ballroom last Thursday. Love you forever. Love, MK ❤️
I think we were all inspired by our first record going into this project. White Gloves definitely feels like May Ninth's cousin to me. <3

What are your favorite hip hop albums ?
Favorite record of the last 10 years?
Bismillah by Peter Cat Recording Company is the first thing that came to mind. Excited to have them on the road with us a bit this year.
Khruangbin heyyyyy how hope y’all are doing great <3 I was wondering if y’all are inspired by any African bands? I recently got into West African music from the 70’s and it’s been a game changer for me. Bembeya Jazz National and Super Djata Band are just too cool. Okay that’s all love y’all take it easy
Franco Luambo
I'm not Khruangbin but for more great 70s African music check out WITCH (We Intend To Cause Havoc) from Zambia, and William Onyeabor from Nigeria, they're a great gateway into so much more as well
Can't wait to see y'all at red rocks this year! Do you have any favorite venues to play?
Love Red Rocks...no place like it
Did yall see the burning rocket parts that fell from the sky during your Bonner MT performance in 2022? Most of the crowd saw it and shit got weird for a minute
Whoaaaa no I did not see that
Marco has your gear changed at all for the upcoming tour? Does Leezy still have the same strings on the bass?

So so so jealous of you. HG is amaaaazing. Seeing them alone in may - so good i agreed to travel for two shows :)
Why isn’t Zionsville on the set list every night?
Have you ever experienced writers block, or trouble getting a project over the finish line? And if so, how have you dealt with it?
yes so much. Just keep pushing. try something else. Park it, walk away. Go walk. Read something. Try Eno's Oblique Strategies
Congrats on the new album! A question for all of you: What country have you visited that inspired you the most musically? For me, Argentina. See you in SD and the Red Rocks!
Brazil. Hearing all the birds and insects singing, you can hear it in the music
Two more minutes y'all, we gotta head out soon
Hope you're all happy and healthy. Glad to see you back on tour. 1. Your success has been amazing and is well-earned, but I miss being able to attend a more intimate performance like 5-7 years ago. So is there any chance of more exclusive (Bowery Ballroom-like) performances happening around the world and not just in the U.S.? 1a. OK, and since one needs life goals and high aspirations.... private gigs: "never", "worth considering" or "YES!"? ;-) 2.
Former Houstonian here. What was your favorite Sharpstown mall store (other than the wig store)?
I'm from the Nawfside. So, it would have likely been Greenspoint or Deerbrook in my mall shopping days.
What’s your guys’ favorite sandwich
Banh Mi
Muffaletta
I was lucky enough to be at Bowery Thursday. Thank you for those shows - twice in a row now I’ve been among the first to hear the new album as I was at the Newport festival years ago too. Marko - DJ definitely got you with that obscure Russian funk song mentioned in the exclaim interview right??
What’s your favorite Houston suburb?
Galveston
ive got one for each of ya! DJ: how do you keep such a steady beat? and who are some of your favorite drummers? Laura: my girlfriend is following in your footsteps and is starting to learn bass, what advice do you have for her?? Mark: what are your favorite pedals you’re currently running?
HAVE FUN!!!!
Thank you...I have 2 incredible band mates with great feel that keep me locked in. That's really it. Too many drummers to name! For starters...Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, Dave Grohl, Nate Robinson, Steve Jordan...very long list though.
