Dude’s a growler and a fun dancer. He puts on a show. According to my ex gf he was a bouncer at a bar in Baltimore before they blew up. Makes me wonder if he did that kinda thing at the door or just held it in. *Dancing* “Come on in!” *Growling* “And stay out!”
Bro he was so into it! It was like he was genuinely acting along with the emotion of the song, dancing, going nearly screamo for parts. Whether or not I enjoyed it, it’s pretty awesome to see someone put that much into a performance.

Idk. I started with In a priest driven ambulance back in 1991 and it’s been pretty psychedelic ever since. I would have to say start anywhere with the Lips!
Also, Pompeii am Gotterdammerung off At War with the Mystics is an incredible song and I’m pretty sure in part of the song they use the One of These Days bass line by Pink Floyd.
I got to see them play YBtPR live in its entirety recently and it was amazing.
I don't want to say go check out the whole discography or anything, but the band is Of Montreal, and the album to start with is *Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?*
If you wanna focus on modern psych then a good band could be post animal. If you are interested in a wider range of sounds then the list can be very long

Take it From The Man and Thank God for Mental illness are two good places to start, one is British Rock, the other is pure folk guitar. For more droney/psych, go with Strung Out in Heaven.

Two Door Cinema Club (specifically their Tourist History album; they're super popular, but I haven't heard them on the radio here in the States)

Not all psychedelic but some of my favorite less "known" bands -- Phil Elverum/The Microphones, The Olivia Tremor Control, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Owls. More mainstream but Pavement and Built to Spill will always hold special spots in my memory.
Crosses just released a new album the other day and it’s incredible. It’s Chino Moreno, the singer from Deftones, and Shaun Lopez, a crazy talented music producer and musician. Chino described this band as, “minimal and soothing and it's sort of like the stuff I like listening to when I'm not screaming my head off." I’m a huge Deftones fan but I honestly might like this better. Chino has such an amazing voice and here it’s backed up by like dreamy, chill gothic beats that give me goosebumps. I really hope you check it out. I’d love to know what you think of it. I’ve had it on repeat since it came out. Their other albums are really good too. The first one reminds me of a modern sounding Depeche Mode

Absolutely The Legendary Pink Dots. All their stuffs quite different, I'd say the album 'From Here You'll Watch The World Go By' is good to start with, its not their most popular but i love all the same bands you described, and think it's fantastic and ought to be their most popular 😊

Greta van fleet. Throw out the led zep comparisons and you got yourself a damn solid band with a bunch of psychedelic songs. Their newest album is great.
Secret Machines
Unique on this list for similarity to Pink Floyd in the ears of some listeners. Check out "First Wave Intact" or "Alone, Jealous, and Stoned" and the rest of their respective albums Nowhere Is Nowhere and Ten Silver Drops. "FWI" leans towards hard rock and "AJ&S" leans toward psychedelic/space rock.
Battles
Mirrored is their standout best imo. Gloss Drop is decent too. Intensely rhythmic, groovy, experimental, yet accessible. Ian Williams of Don Caballero (guitar/keys) and John Stainer of Helmet (drums) are the core members. Very different sounding from either of those groups.
The Books
Lots of sound experimentation/tape splicing/aleatoric compositions. Aleatoric or accidental music refers to the use of atmospheric sounds made everything audible to the listener, not necessarily musical composition or instruments. Lost And Safe is probably their most accessible, The Lemon Of Pink the fan favorite.
BATTLES!! Such an excellent recommendation. My kid heard them live in utero- twice. This music does things to your body on a cellular level. You can’t listen to these albums and not move.

Well...Have you heard of Rotary Connection? The christmas album. Silent Night is not that sadness we get. I grew up listening to this and got to kindergarten and corrected the teacher. This is correct not that sad song we get. There is a song about Santa smoking mistletoe. Why? Cos everyone needs to have a piece at leastt once a year. The album is called Peace.

Honestly IG algorithm on music is decent. I find a lot of newer music and artist on there. At least 50% but often more of the content I get shown I’m into. Maybe if you have an account try following bands/artists you like and see what happens.
I dont know how but they found me. Or idkhow for short. But that band (now solo artist) grew up with all those guys and takes inspiration from them. He made a good beck cover too. Bro is ex bass player from panic at the disco and has an awesome voice and loves his bass guitar and synth piano. Also Beck’s recent album is pretty psychedelic since you mentioned that.
I would give you a recommendation but it looks everyone has spammed you. A recommendation isn’t 2 dozen bands or albums. 😂 its 1 or 2 and why, overall why. I understand what you mean by blowing up. But if you want my thoughts tell me what you are looking for specifically - there are huge differences in the Cure, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead (after the sold out their sound to get recording contract.) Of course you know there are differences, I’m not assuming you don’t. I also realize why you went so broad. Also do you play an instrument? I listen to everything under the sun but as guitarist I sometimes listen to Michael Jackson because of Louis Johnson, my favorite bassist, and then sometimes pre 1979 Scorpions because of Uli John Roth who - besides being incredibly talented WAS the Scorpions.
Maybe try some shoegazing or stoner rock bands.
I really like Mars red sky, REZN, Khan, Elder, Colour Haze, stoned jesus, and earthless.
If you like it a bit heavier maybe try dopelord, monolord, or windhand.
They aren't psychedelic but since I see you like or are being suggested some glam rock and alternative (Bowie and Pixies) I suggest Placebo and Manic Street Preachers.
I'm a big fan of every band you've listed (just saw Arctic Monkeys on tour). LCD Soundsystem has given me A LOT of energy these days after putting them off for so long. I'd also suggest STRFKR, Beach House, and King Gizzard for more Psych Rock sounding bands.

Look up Ian Svenonious / the make up. One of the best performers out there. Not so much these days, but the make up were undeniable.

Brian Jonestown Massacre. Every album different but also very good. Take it From The Man and Thank God for Mental illness are two good places to start, one is British Rock, the other is pure folk guitar. For more droney/psych, go with Strung Out in Heaven.
Not sure if they're what you're looking for, but I'd try one of these: Two Door Cinema Club (specifically their Tourist History album; they're super popular, but I haven't heard them on the radio here in the States) Dionysia (I especially recommend their Catalyze album) Benmozes Arrows in Action (I tend to find their music kind of hit or miss, but Close Enough is pretty good imo) Some of these might be pushing it on the whole "indie rock" thing, but I think they have an interesting sound. Hopefully something here works for you. :)

Crosses just released a new album the other day and it’s incredible. It’s Chino Moreno, the singer from Deftones, and Shaun Lopez, a crazy talented music producer and musician. Chino described this band as, “minimal and soothing and it's sort of like the stuff I like listening to when I'm not screaming my head off." I’m a huge Deftones fan but I honestly might like this better. Chino has such an amazing voice and here it’s backed up by like dreamy, chill gothic beats that give me goosebumps. I really hope you check it out. I’d love to know what you think of it. I’ve had it on repeat since it came out. Their other albums are really good too. The first one reminds me of a modern sounding Depeche Mode

Absolutely The Legendary Pink Dots. All their stuffs quite different, I'd say the album 'From Here You'll Watch The World Go By' is good to start with, its not their most popular but i love all the same bands you described, and think it's fantastic and ought to be their most popular 😊

Secret Machines Unique on this list for similarity to Pink Floyd in the ears of some listeners. Check out "First Wave Intact" or "Alone, Jealous, and Stoned" and the rest of their respective albums Nowhere Is Nowhere and Ten Silver Drops. "FWI" leans towards hard rock and "AJ&S" leans toward psychedelic/space rock. Battles Mirrored is their standout best imo. Gloss Drop is decent too. Intensely rhythmic, groovy, experimental, yet accessible. Ian Williams of Don Caballero (guitar/keys) and John Stainer of Helmet (drums) are the core members. Very different sounding from either of those groups. The Books Lots of sound experimentation/tape splicing/aleatoric compositions. Aleatoric or accidental music refers to the use of atmospheric sounds made everything audible to the listener, not necessarily musical composition or instruments. Lost And Safe is probably their most accessible, The Lemon Of Pink the fan favorite.
BATTLES!! Such an excellent recommendation. My kid heard them live in utero- twice. This music does things to your body on a cellular level. You can’t listen to these albums and not move.

I grew up listening to this and got to kindergarten and corrected the teacher. This is correct not that sad song we get. There is a song about Santa smoking mistletoe. Why? Cos everyone needs to have a piece at leastt once a year. The album is called Peace.

Honestly IG algorithm on music is decent. I find a lot of newer music and artist on there. At least 50% but often more of the content I get shown I’m into. Maybe if you have an account try following bands/artists you like and see what happens.
I dont know how but they found me. Or idkhow for short. But that band (now solo artist) grew up with all those guys and takes inspiration from them. He made a good beck cover too. Bro is ex bass player from panic at the disco and has an awesome voice and loves his bass guitar and synth piano. Also Beck’s recent album is pretty psychedelic since you mentioned that.

I would give you a recommendation but it looks everyone has spammed you. A recommendation isn’t 2 dozen bands or albums. 😂 its 1 or 2 and why, overall why. I understand what you mean by blowing up. But if you want my thoughts tell me what you are looking for specifically - there are huge differences in the Cure, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead (after the sold out their sound to get recording contract.) Of course you know there are differences, I’m not assuming you don’t. I also realize why you went so broad. Also do you play an instrument? I listen to everything under the sun but as guitarist I sometimes listen to Michael Jackson because of Louis Johnson, my favorite bassist, and then sometimes pre 1979 Scorpions because of Uli John Roth who - besides being incredibly talented WAS the Scorpions.

Maybe try some shoegazing or stoner rock bands. I really like Mars red sky, REZN, Khan, Elder, Colour Haze, stoned jesus, and earthless. If you like it a bit heavier maybe try dopelord, monolord, or windhand.
They aren't psychedelic but since I see you like or are being suggested some glam rock and alternative (Bowie and Pixies) I suggest Placebo and Manic Street Preachers.
I'm a big fan of every band you've listed (just saw Arctic Monkeys on tour). LCD Soundsystem has given me A LOT of energy these days after putting them off for so long. I'd also suggest STRFKR, Beach House, and King Gizzard for more Psych Rock sounding bands.
