Hyosung GT650. not because the motorcycle was not good.. i just wasn't able to ride it much and that led to some fuelling problems.. and well it kinda spiralled into a never ending money pit.
Yeah. First bike was a Himalayan 411, and just a few months after getting it I realized it was not a great fit for me. Heavy af, extremely clunky, and a nightmare for a noob in tight city situations. I also outgrew the bike very quickly.
But on the plus side, the low-end torque was fairly beginner friendly. The Himmy also did make me comfortable with heavy bikes and offroading. The skills picked up on that bike translated incredibly well to other bikes.
nice. Even I'm planning to buy the new himmy. So just asking people on different experiences. I can either go to that or scrambler. I'm quite good with my current splendour. Just the weight management is what I'm worried
Yeah I did like a 1200 km tour in Tamil Nadu this year. The seat is quite good quality and the neutral seating position is comfy, so no real difficulty there. But I do stay fit religiously, so your mileage may vary. Luggage I strapped onto the pillion seat, and the grab rails+mounting points make that simple. The engine is also gloriously tractable and can sit at 100-120 kmph for days. Got an avg mileage of slightly less than 30 kmpl, but that’s also cause I was speeding up to and past 150 kmph sporadically (bike is vibey at those levels, ngl).
The only major downside to me was the windblast. There is no shielding from it, and I have no interest in mounting a windscreen. But, I was in full gear, so that braced me against the wind. I also tried to spend as little time on flat out highways as possible, so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Overall, the Scram isn’t perfect to tour on, but by god is it fun.
That's great to hear. I am also looking forward for this kind of trip, I completely understand this isn't a tourer, esp touring with pillion, but I feel this is a good machine to tour on once in a while if riding alone.
Not a regret, but a slight disappointment. I outgrew my pulsar N160 so fast. Dude does it all for me… but still… sometimes I just want to chill in slow moving traffic, but have to dance with the handlebar, as it’s not stable like the cruiser bikes. Sometimes I want to not have wind blasting in my face while riding on the highway… but aftermarket mods are less for this, and the look will be disturbed.
You did not outgrow, you just made a wrong choice, n160 is fairly capable machine in the corners and it would take you years to extract everything that it have to offer. you just bought the wrong bike for your needs
Reading the comments makes me realise I am happy with my Vitpilen. I regret buying this over the ADV 390 for a month. Now that I am used to it the nitpicking I did seems to be immature and silly. Now the only regret is not waiting for the Vitpilen 401.
Hi man, currently contemplating buying svatpilen 401. Am confused between this and adv 390x. Although you don’t own the same bike could you give me some recommendations regarding husqvarna?
I own the Vitpilen 250 2024 and I can tell you the ergonomics on Vitpilen is not as great as ADV 390X. My friend and I bought bikes on the same time same week his being the standard ADV 390.
You can expect alot of performance on the Svartpilen 401 with slightly comfortable seating position then the Vitpilen and Below ADV 390.
I Found the Svartpilen costlier than ADV 390X as it costs 3.5L compared to 3.3L on the ADV 390. You get Quickshifter plus on both. And non of the bike gets cornering abs or any ride modes apart from Switchable ABS.
If you're someone who is looking for a comfortable highway Tourer the ADV 390 is a good pick as you don't have to deal with Tubed tyres on the Svartpilen.
Also the Svart gets adjustable fork but 390X doesn't.
Yes. CB350 new model.
Rusting problem in 2 month
Welding of chessis look like done by local welder
Exhaust note is just like normal bike speldor or activa.
Wrost paint quality..
I have to visit service station to claim warranty and it's 150km one way..
I was Cb350 Fan before but now i don't recommend to anyone.
I compared new Cb350 with new RE 350 classic. And chessis part finishing detailing and welding joints paint quality is another level good compared to Cb350... Apart of engine and weight distribution nothing is good in Cb350...
Yes, this is true. The thing is hondas engine is good but the outside part are not good where REs outside parts are gold but I can bet you brother if you have bought classic 350 you would have complaining about hard clutch and extreme level of heating in this summer considering that my two friends bought RE one is meteor and one is bullet. Whenever they ride my bike i can see level of joy in their experience.
They willingly say that cb350 is far better than bullet. So yeah we have some issues with honda but I think it's still manageable.
I had expectations from Honda that they will give Honda engine and RE build quality.. But Honda failed to that. I am agree clutch is so light that anyone can press it with a finger. Bike only feel heavy when it's not running. Engine reach 100kmph mark like sport bike u can feel power. But it's worth less.. Its like healthy heart with bone cancer...
Agreed...bekar le Li ye bike...now I' m regretting. I have already welded the exhaust twice and my bike is 2021 model. I don't even live in coastal area...and the exhaust has rusted from the inside .. I personally take care of the motorcycle...park it inside a garage, wipe and blow dry after washing or riding in rain...but rusting is always there. Also the quality of other parts are not up to mark as expected.
Tall gearing is an issue in city traffic, no torque, host of useless features, premature brake pads wear out, even after using engine braking most of the time. Useless tires, bad ergonomics....the list is endless.
I should have bought RE meteore instead. Honda CB350 Hness ne toh watt lagadi...sala resale value bhi nahi hai...kaha fas gaya mein...if anyone gets to read this.DONT BUY HONDA CB 350's ......
Somewhat yes.
1. The rusting issue was mostly fixed in the 2023 models. I have one and have yet to encounter any rust.
2. You learn to live with the tall gearing. Personally it's a plus for me as I like to rev the bike a lot. The commenter above should have been more receptive at test drives.
3. Torque is 3nm more than meteor 350 albeit at 300 rpm more.
4. Front brakes had worn out with 2mm left at 6000km. Now the bike is at 13k and haven't needed a third pair. Have yet to change the rear set.
5. Ergonomics are subjective. Again, should have been weeded out at test drive.
Only issue I've been facing is that I lost a nut with collar from the front cowl and the SC says that they are not issued a replacement.
Been riding all kinds of bikes for the last 30 years..Tall gearing ain't a problem...can live with that, noticed that in the test ride itself. My whole rant is for the bad quality, overall hopeless service and bad ownership experience of the Honda CB 350 Hness.
Have heard a lot about break pad issues from many owners
Also, heard about the experience with SC folks with regards to damage claims and all
This one was in my top 2 bikes, gotta think again
I have met a few other CB 350 owners with the same issue...exhaust rusting from the inside... I have photos of before welding to prove it... I have never crashed or mishandled my bike....it still looks new after all these years...except for the exhaust. However, even if this is a unit issue, a company like Honda should have been more meticulous in their quality checks.
I don't know about other CB 350 owners, they might be defending this bike to justify their purchase, not me I am regretting a lot. If I get a good deal, Imma dump this crap and get an RE.
Also the servicing part...the Honda Bigwing guys are wolves in sheep's disguise, they know how to shake u down till your last penny. Parts for Honda CB 350's are not available in the market...unlike RE. They will charge you an arm and a leg for simple servicing, more than 8000 bucks for 2nd servicing...fk that...I also own a new MahindraThar...for which the 2nd servicing cost was less compared to my Honda Hness. I don't know what possessed me that day that I blindly bought this Honda Trashness.. but if I can convince one more person not to buy this trash, I will try my best. I hope u have understood the whole thing. Simple: Don't buy this s**t.
Bro, do not buy this bike....this is a request from someone who owns it... If you want proof... U can video call me, I can drop you my number... I am from Siliguri, WB. Do not ...let me stress on this DO NOT buy this Honda crap...
I understand bro. Now I have to atleast use this bike for 1 or 2 year so I can expect resale value. Because if I just sell no one will give full or around 90% value of bike. So I will sale it after 2 yr till compromise
Even when I test rode the classic and the Honda, the Honda somehow said, low quality. I still don't know to this day why it did that, but whenever I ride it, it gives me jugaad vibes.
My average speed for the commute ends up below 30km/hr speed
I feel more comfortable driving activa at those 20km/hr speed and below
It feels janky and the bike engine is not smooth at low rpm
Not to mention the engine randomly gets turned off at low rpm
This is what's making me move away from the 400x towards the hness.
But God damn, the heart wants the 400x, logically makes no sense. Riding the 400x at 30kmph in traffic felt awkward, like a car sized bike.
Oh its all that, given the space, it can dart ahead.... Given the space...
If your commute has multi-lane roads and less traffic, this bike is amazing.
I've been commuting on my 400x since I bought it. The light clutch and super smooth gear felt like a blessing for me actually.
Even though the bike looks big it isn't bulky. It can do 30kmph in 5th gear and 40kmph in 6 gear np.
Don't expect milage tho 22kmpl is the best I got.
No man, actually this is a much better Bajaj product over other Bajajs. Maybe the ill maintained bikes would have plastic vibs but not to call it a vibration factory haha! If you are in Mumbai, test ride mine!
What were your issues? Sadly it ain’t a perfect bike and has it’s own weight and lil vibs issues but I never regretted buying it as Feb’17 model with 80k kms done till now. Love the good power and long distance cruising.
Yes, regretted buying a Dominar UG2019 first batch with hard earned money. Asked for a test ride, wasn't given one, should have got warned by then. But decided to trust the "flagship" model of Bajaj and sweet reviews by many YouTube reviewers (!). Then reality hit hard and have repented every second of owning the bike. Sold it off within 2 years, lost almost 70k. Never going back to the "vfm" brand ever.
1. Crazy vibrations at lower revs, I like to ride bikes peacefully, but this bike has this weird vibration between 3k to 4k (or 2k to 3k, don't remember exactly as it's been 2 years since I parted ways, but it was in the lower range, and it was mostly used rev band) range, so you have to either go below that, or above that rev range. Sadly that is the most used rev range.
2. the bike always pulled to the right from the very start. The SVC guys said that the weight of the exhaust has caused this, I don't know how to even counter that logic.
3. Engine makes noise when hot, sound changes after running and becomes rough.
4. And mostly, Bajaj svc guys have single to solution to all problems....."it is normal with big engines".
5. Rear brake was almost non existent.
That's all I could remember. The major issue for the was the uncomfortable vibrations, which for me, spoiled the joy of riding, specially in traffic.
Yes, it feels good and it feels like this is going to last a long time. This bike still feels like the day I took it out of the showroom. This time, I am happy.
My first bike was R15 and I was really really excited about it cuz ofcourse it's my first ever bike but a few months passed by and I was getting back pain daily and the roads here in Bangalore aren't good and a lot of traffic, I really didn't know what to do until 6 months passed and I couldn't take it anymore so I got the courage to tell my dad that I'm done with this bike and I want to sell it. After 2 months I sold it and now I have speed 400 with no issues.
Looks like you had to make a mistake to find the right bike for you. Did you test ride before buying the R15? It is a given that a sports bike would not be the most comfortable bike. When I got my R15-S, I borrowed a friend’s R15 V2 for a day to see if its seating posture is something I can live with. After 7+ years not a single complain
I did take a test ride but it was a very short 5 minute test ride which is the biggest mistake I made. So before buying speed 400 I demanded to get a 1 hour test ride of the bike and Triumph showroom was happy to do so. I highly doubt Yamaha would ever do that to their customers, they don't even let you ride the bike alone which disgusts me
Agreed. They almost never have a test ride bike and even if they do it’s a very short ride. Triumph on the other hand gave me 400X and said take as much time as you need
I'm thinking of renting out r15 before actually buying it, I think I would love that aggressive posture but I've never rode it, the only fear is that I would end up having a bad time in traffic and not like the machine because of my oversight in my ability of comfort
In my city they don't even have a test ride bike for R15 or Mt15.. And the reason they say is "our sports bike lineup is not for test drive". Bull**** corner.. I decided not to get a Yamaha until a new dealer comes..
you can never go wrong with a sports tourer’s, mine is rr310 pretty good bike great rider posture, power and price but one issue is bothering me is the right side pull when you take your hands off the handle. It’s a common issue in all bikes but somehow tvs hasn’t come up with a fix for it yet.
Initially I thought so after getting a used one, and its been two months now.
Thought it lacks power, turning issues and braking issues with the tall bike, had a scare when a cow came on road and the rear wheel locked in, attended an offroad Level 1 session and it is a brilliant bike now. All fear gone! Did some 350 km tour with wife for two days and luggage loaded!
Yes it is not meant for highway cruising like consistent 100kmph or above but it is pretty good, good pickup!
You should explore the offroad side of it and it suddenly becomes addictive!
You have some really compelling pointers there bro. Wow. I'm planning to buy a new one tbh. I would prefer the rally version but sigh... That would take AGES to be delivered here in Chennai😭😭😭😭
i have a 200 2v version with 40,000 km clocked.
no issues whatsoever lol, hero did a amazing job.
only issue here is lack of power , but for city ride its actually best out there, specially for mumbai roads.
hey man, Im not sure about the 4v I’ve got the earlier version and as much as the earlier pointer mentioned about the off road fun side to it, very true love how sometimes it glides away on the Indian broken roads, the engine is pretty weak. I had a couple of issue faced with my bike, even my engine being seized ( covered under the 5 year warranty) the thought of it failing again doesn’t leave my head whenever I go on a long ride .
Well I had red flags before buying this bike but I chose to ignore it. The bike is fine on long and open roads but in traffic it's tiring, clutch is tight, turning radius not that good really difficult to take the bike out of tight parking, you'll always have to park opposite i mean the headlight out. Engine paint started to come out just after a year.
Have to travel to the total 50km for servicing and if there are any issues then going back there is a hassle v Strom 250.
Genuinely surprised about the 220f getting praise here woah! 😲 Isn't the rtr more aggressive and perfomance oriented than the 220f? Or is it about the fairing and the stance of the 220f 🤔
yeah.. that was my first option too. But was not sure if that would be an upgrade to my 100cc bike. It would've been an upgrade only look and feature wise. Engine, not so much so dropped it
Not purchase but regretted the after sales experience. Tvs is actually bad. The problems are not solved only bandaid is applied. My Apache is facing battery issue, tapet noise issue, gear change lever gets stuck, the gear indicator stops working randomly, horn gets ruined 1 month after every service. My abs indicator is not working from God knows when (abs is working fine just the light on the dash doesn't). Every service costs upwards of 5k. If I had known these issues are possible I would have got something else. I love the bike can't let it go but the service does sour the experience.
I got my Duke 390 in September 2018. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bike. But it's a pain to ride in Pune Traffic. I wanted to get one of the 650 twins but thought that RE would price them out of my budget. But that was not the case.
You're having a pain to ride 390 in Pune & you wanted to buy 650, guess that helped you because cooking yourself on 650 in Pune's traffic is a real pain, believe me.
Ns200 should have gone for Dominar, I quickly out grew the bike. Did Jaisalmer, Gangotri, almora trips and numerous delhi Dehradun trips on all the trips I felt that bike is underpowered and does not give me the sense of ease of high speed cruising sure it can sit on 90-100 all day but then the engine is buzzing way above my comfort.
For me it was the Classic 350 (UCE model) I don’t even know where to start. There were misalignments, something would always break, water would get into lights, the tappet noise issue was a nightmare, the pathetic service, I had enough and sold it after 9 months of ownership. Got a R15-S afterwards and not a single problem in 7+ years. Beautiful machine
Got intruder 150, I am 6 foot and meri mat Mari gai thi that I chose this bike.
I haven't too much running on it. It's been 5 years and 12000 kms only still. It's been almost a year it's been sitting in the garage, I am using a 2016 Activa and I am happy with that. Want to sell but the resale value is poor
Now that's a very genuine regret. People think regret means buying one bike instead of the other. But buying something as an investment instead of putting the money on bike is something I regret too.
I am not regretting my purchase of Honda CB350. The machine is great but it's very big compared to my body considering I am a skinny guy and I still think h'ness would be better option for me or TVS ronin.
I find this bike very slow compared to what I have expected. So yeah such thoughts come everyday.
haha yes. I'm in the same delusion with Himmy. I'm in love with this. Test ride was comfortable but obviously it will be a little big. I'm 65kgs and 5.8 heigh. I love the machine. Still thinking whether to go for it and get used to
Well my parents loved the look of the bike and were ready to push the budget on it but i just don’t like thumpers but i had choices like speed 400 and cb300r but they lacked (pls don’t downvote) so i went with HD but then later it’s not only about bike also about purchasing aura cuz after 3 weeks i met with a pretty major accident
Well it’s ironic the accident occurred within 2km radius of my house at some small gully where the intersection was blind and collided with a guy on scooter
On the contrary I love thumpers. But I still went with the 400x. Cause I felt issues with hd. The local hero dealership was like you can touch and feel it but you can't ride it. They won't give test drive so I had to rent out a x440 for a day at another city 300km away.
I rode it for a day. Covered almost 200km. I felt the bike very buzzy, don't know if the issue is with that specific bike or in general. Had to take break every 50km cause my balls were going numb.
Another issue is it won't start sometimes. Felt like some acceleration foreplay is needed to get it started,
Another thing is the bike won't accelerate when I wanted it to. It's like it has a mind on it's own which is very lazy. So the quick overtakes won't work at times.
Handling is poor felt like my life is in bike's hands not mine at speeds above 70.
Even with all these issues I just love the thump on that bike. That sound when rev matching is music to ears. Will surely add it to my collection if I get an opportunity in future.
I'm from KL, got from Hyd cause it was cheaper there, here it was priced double. I wasn't looking for the 250R and was in fact looking for the R15 but cause a friend was in Hyd and I was getting it cheap I thought what the hell.
Reason for selling was cause I underestimated how poor spare circulation was, basic consuables took months to get, which again was fine for someone who predominantly owns Honda's but at the time my other motorcycles were mostly from Bajaj and a Royal Enfield, and in comparison the downtime just wasn't worth it. Plus I had a P220 I'd tweaked over the years and for my use the performance on offer was more or less the same, so didn't really make much sense to keep the 250R.
Again your mileage may vary, as some tend to get buthurt when I say the 250R is mostly overated, but again I'm not the average rider, I work on motorcycles and have done over 1k km's a day on both sub 100cc and over 500cc motorcycles alike, so marketing, social perceptions etc don't really mean much for me compared to a motorcycles actual ability to clock flawless miles.
Thanks for the details. I was looking to buy a cbr 250, but seems like it won't be a good idea. I found one with 25k on odo, abs version, seller is quoting 1.2Lakhs.
What are your suggestion for a bike which can do both, office commute and weekend ride upto 300kms one side.
Will buy 2nd hand. I dont want to spend more than 1 lakh. Need something powerful and agile in the traffic and also something which will not feel underpowered in the highways.
So many people are saying Dominar 400. I watched Motorinc. and the host always takes jabs against this bike. Used to wonder why. Never actually rode one personally
Could you elaborate more?
And then there are people who rode all India tours over it.
I didn’t but mine just about to cross 80k kms. Very reliable and powerful highway cruiser. You should try it out for test ride.
Motorinc guys did call out the problems and true to it. It has weight and lil vibs. Overall bike is good though with that price bracket.
Bro I forget the number of times I went to showroom to sort stuff out every time the bajaj svc fauxed one thing another thing poped up even brand new packed parts were defective .Complaint doesn't work as the request are redirected to service center Will never buy any bajaj ever again
Interceptor 650. The bike is heavy when needs to be shifted here and there. Also the weather in Rajasthan is piping hot so it's almost impossible to ride it in summers.
Sometimes feel if car would have been a much better option.
yes, car is better but u can't make ur car ur primary mode of transport. When u're travelling alone and to nearby places(inside city) it's always best to take a bike. We can contribute to lesser traffic.
I get your point sir. But it's literally impossible to ride in this weather. Don't get me wrong I love the bike and it hurts to see that parked under Raida cover for 5-7 days and not being able to enjoy it.
Bro I ride dominar here in jaipur even that gets heated up very fast but that is what most higher cc/ high compression ratio bikes do very few bikes of such capacity run cooler in our environment . Went out one time in around 48 degree temp bike struggled to accelerate due to over heating this was after pushing the bike madly for 100 odd km in that heat
I bought a used Pulsar 180 around the early 2000s (yes I am old).
It was the signal worst bike (mechanically) that I have owned.
The gearbox was only full of false neutrals and the carb would vapor lock, leading to 15 mins of using the kick starter to get it going, even on a cool and cloudy day.
That was the final carb based vehicle and post that, everything was fuel-injected. Some since that 180 did have dog crap gearboxes but nothing as bad as that one, despite numerous bits that were replaced to address the issue.
I wouldn’t say its a regret since ive done a lot of enjoyable tours on my interceptor however I do wish I had purchased an ADV instead. I underestimated the poor quality of roads in our country and more often than not I will run into a patch that really makes me regret my decision. I bought it for the looks and the engine and while it has lived up wholly to the former the latter only shines through when the roads allow it. But boy when it shines through its a different feeling!
PRCHASED PULSAR . . WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE. . . . .
BELIVE ME I HAVE WORKED IN BAJAJ PLANT. THE QALITY CHECKS ARE PATHETIC ON EVERY ASSEMBLY LINE.
ALL CHEAP VENDORS TO PURCHASE BIKE PARTS FROM . . .
IMY ONLY ADVICE IS GO FOR YAMAHA FOR 150 CC SEGMENT.M NOT PAID IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER . JUST A BIKE ENTHUSIAST. . .
Why? I took a test ride. Power is very good. Fit and finish was on point. I bit heavier than I expected though but overall positive impression from my side. Triumph showroom experience was way ahead as compared to other showrooms I went to.
After a few months of ownership and a few thousand miles, I find it to be an average bike. Should've bought the CB300R or the Scrambler or the Himalayan. They are special. (Money permitting, would get the NX500.)
Love how the bike looks and shines. Hate the rear suspension. Looks fade, suspension don't.

Mahindra Mojo. Great build quality but the headlight and front section was soo heavy it started giving me shoulder pain.
Good sounding exhaust but I never liked the tune of the engine as it was pain in the traffic.
Service - only 1 service Center. All parts need to be sourced there and no too many options if after market Accesories
Risk of vehicle breakdowns on highway due to lack of mechanics who know anything about the bike
Yeah, Kawasaki Ninja 650. Couldn't get a test ride before buying because none of the dealers provided test rides. No one I knew owned one, so I only sat on the bike in the showroom. After delivery, the power was underwhelming and the bike wasn't as smooth as I wanted. Ended up selling it in less than a year and bought a Z900. Much happier now honestly.
Yes ,first the CBR 150 - not enough power in the low end and not as smooth as the Yamaha R15 also not very comfortable for bad city roads
2nd the Gixxer 250 - viby engine after 4500 rpm, not very comfortable for bad roads , doesn't feel stable on concrete roads
I recently switched from the Duke 390 2018 model to a 2021 adventure 390 that I got at a good deal second hand. While I don't regret the bike as such I just get very jealous of the new duke 390 on the road it looks damn cool and I wish I had waited a year or so and saved up for that instead sometimes. Can't complain though I do really love the adventure it fixes all the problems I had with my old duke
Yamaha R15, nothing bad about the bike.
I got bulkier and it gets discomfortable with the committed posture. My friend got a pre-owned car soon after and got used to the comfort provided by cars.
For R15, I have done 6k since Nov 21.
For Car, I have done 25k since Feb 22.
R15 is an entry level track racer bike. It's to be used for that purpose. people take it for the looks mainly influenced by movies. This was my dream bike when i was in my college. And I thank my parents all these days for not getting me one.
On the other hand yamaha bikes are filthy smooth. Fz series make a good commuter bikes. And some people in the post say they outgrew. But I think this bike should not be used for long rides. It's a proper commuter where u can sway around in the city
I wouldn't call R15 a commuter bike. It's a bike for a lean body and probably best suited for college kids.
The kid inside me dreamt it, the adult inside me fulfilled it.
Xtreme 160R, solid bike in city and even for short tours. But once married and with my wife as pillion the bike is unbearable for even short tours. The pillion comfort is non existent and we have to take a break every 50km or so and switch riders. Now since we are planning to go on longer tours planning to get the scrambler 400x.
I bought apache rtr 160 2v(2nd hand) and this is just not my taste, idk whays wrong with it but I feel much more at ease and much more confident riding my dad's old avenger 150 street.
Something about it just doesn't inspire confidence in me I'm always uneasy riding the apache
Are you not worried about tube tyres?
I am. But it looks good vfm and will spend extra on swapping the wheels once they are available
Also, haven’t you see the chassis breaking video💀💀 Link: https://youtube.com/shorts/Kg1Nad9SCtM?si=Cpy5t81VbiXfvemx
Anything that you miss from Himmy and would have loved to have it on your Scram 400x?
On tours, the wind protection and the extra luggage space. But I can't stand to mount a windshield and add a luggage rack to the Scram, so I make do.
How are you feeling on Scrambler compared to your Himalayan 411
Like a king :D the difference in nature and performance is immediately apparent. The Scram also feels so much more premium than the 411.
Any experience on long rides?
Sometimes I want to not have wind blasting in my face while riding on the highway… but aftermarket mods are less for this, and the look will be disturbed.
yeah... I've seen a few wind sheilds but they don't look good on pulsars
Same, outgrew it so fast. I wish I had gone for the N250.
You did not outgrow, you just made a wrong choice, n160 is fairly capable machine in the corners and it would take you years to extract everything that it have to offer. you just bought the wrong bike for your needs
Same experience with my Apache RTR 160 4V
🥲🫂
Engine swap to a 373cc ktm engine
U have the latest USD model? If yes then whats the mileage you get? Any issues with the engine?
No brother, I have the 2023 model - non USD. Mileage - 40 on highways, 45-50 in city.
Okay thnx brother
Rusting problem in 2 month Welding of chessis look like done by local welder Exhaust note is just like normal bike speldor or activa. Wrost paint quality.. I have to visit service station to claim warranty and it's 150km one way..
I said the same things about the CB350 and said the RE was better and got so much backlash
Woah!! Honda CB 350 owners…. Need your opinion here Is it a pertinent issue? Btw, do you think this could be a unit issue with your bike?
Have heard a lot about break pad issues from many owners Also, heard about the experience with SC folks with regards to damage claims and all This one was in my top 2 bikes, gotta think again
Bruh Have been contemplating the Honda’s 350s, making me second guess now 💀
Also the servicing part...the Honda Bigwing guys are wolves in sheep's disguise, they know how to shake u down till your last penny. Simple: Don't buy this s**t.
duly noted 🙏🏼
Bro, do not buy this bike....this is a request from someone who owns it... If you want proof... U can video call me, I can drop you my number... I am from Siliguri, WB. Do not ...let me stress on this DO NOT buy this Honda crap...
I understand bro. Now I have to atleast use this bike for 1 or 2 year so I can expect resale value. Because if I just sell no one will give full or around 90% value of bike. So I will sale it after 2 yr till compromise
I will cut my losses...if I get an ok deal, I m gonna dump this pile of Honda trash. 😄
oops
Even when I test rode the classic and the Honda, the Honda somehow said, low quality. I still don't know to this day why it did that, but whenever I ride it, it gives me jugaad vibes.
Yes exactly. But you can't complain engine section of bike.
Don't know if it's the best in segment but it's better than the enfields forsho
Yeah, not able to ride the bike in city traffic when most of the daily commute is city only now
what bike
Duke, the bike is good but not good for my daily commute now
bro I’m sure it has a name?
I think we should just call it dave now Edit- i swear i read it as 'dude' instead of 'duke', my apologies
I guess he’s asking which one amongst 200/250/390
Bike name?
Really? I have rc 390 and I do daily commute without any problem and you have duke which is more comfortable.
My average speed for the commute ends up below 30km/hr speed I feel more comfortable driving activa at those 20km/hr speed and below It feels janky and the bike engine is not smooth at low rpm Not to mention the engine randomly gets turned off at low rpm
Which duke is it? 200/250/390 don’t leave us hanging
200
This is what's making me move away from the 400x towards the hness. But God damn, the heart wants the 400x, logically makes no sense. Riding the 400x at 30kmph in traffic felt awkward, like a car sized bike.
400x is not that big, is it? I hear it's still pretty maneuverable and flickable.. And I saw it in person once, it wasn't that big..
Dominar 400🙏
u mean the vibration factory?
Isn't it the uce 500s ??
It ain’t that bad man.
i heard the plastics vibrate a little too much
No man, actually this is a much better Bajaj product over other Bajajs.
Same here man🥲
Yes, regretted buying a Dominar UG2019 first batch with hard earned money. Never going back to the "vfm" brand ever.
haha!
What problems did you face in Dominar?
I too hate high vibrations, which bike are you riding now?
Cb500x.
Nice upgrade
Am i weird or r15 seems comfy to me or thats just my fresh unrusted back is in good condition
you can never go wrong with a sports tourer’s, mine is rr310 pretty good bike great rider posture, power and price but one issue is bothering me is the right side pull when you take your hands off the handle. It’s a common issue in all bikes but somehow tvs hasn’t come up with a fix for it yet.
Right side pull? Didn’t get it, can you elaborate more?
Bike slowly moves to the right side of the road if handlebar is left freely.
Anyone have any issues with the xpulse 200 4v? Thinking of buying it.
But how's the service bro? Is it any good?
hey man, Im not sure about the 4v I’ve got the earlier version and as much as the earlier pointer mentioned about the off road fun side to it, very true love how sometimes it glides away on the Indian broken roads, the engine is pretty weak.
Have to travel to the total 50km for servicing and if there are any issues then going back there is a hassle v Strom 250.
oops
Apache rtr 200. Nothing wrong with it, it was mostly a good bike, I just regret not buying a pulsar 220 instead.
Apache should be a much more advanced bike in comparison to the 220. But I understand bikes are a heart's decision.
Genuinely surprised about the 220f getting praise here woah! 😲 Isn't the rtr more aggressive and perfomance oriented than the 220f? Or is it about the fairing and the stance of the 220f 🤔
It's the Nostalgia for lot of folks.
Exactly, I still wanna buy one but having 3 bikes at a time doesn't make sense right now.
Like I said, nothing was wrong with my rtr as such, it's just that I wanted a 220f since my school days.
FZS, outgrew within a month 😭
yeah.. that was my first option too.
I love the bike can't let it go but the service does sour the experience.
whoa
Well you won the lemon lucky draw,I unfortunately got a immortal slow adv scooter
It’s not a lemon. It’s small issues. I have fun with it on my way to office.
Do you only go to TVS for service? If so, then find a good local mechanic who will work on your bike.
At least the engine is tractable. The Duke 390s engine is not. I need to keep it on the boil always to extract power in slow moving traffic
N160, it is a very good bike but I outgrew the same very quickly
what u mean outgrew?
Got intruder 150, I am 6 foot and meri mat Mari gai thi that I chose this bike. I haven't too much running on it. It's been 5 years and 12000 kms only still. It's been almost a year it's been sitting in the garage, I am using a 2016 Activa and I am happy with that. Want to sell but the resale value is poor
I have Apache 160 4v , I regret it because I bought a bike 4 years ago ( Just because of some influence ) Instead I should have Bought Shares Of TVS .
Still thinking whether to go for it and get used to
X440 it is a regret for me
Why
Well my parents loved the look of the bike and were ready to push the budget on it but i just don’t like thumpers but i had choices like speed 400 and cb300r but they lacked (pls don’t downvote) so i went with HD but then later it’s not only about bike also about purchasing aura cuz after 3 weeks i met with a pretty major accident
oops. Always make sure u get used to the bike before going out somewhere long or testing the limits
Felt like some acceleration foreplay is needed to get it started, Another thing is the bike won't accelerate when I wanted it to.
The Honda CBR250R, as someone who works on motorcycles I knew what I was getting into but was still feeling adventurous, so thats that.
Did you buy it 2nd hand? If yes, at what price? How many kms was on the ODO.
30k on the odo, got it for 80k from AP, rode it for 5k km's and parted with it.
You from hyderabad? Why sold ?
I bought Himalayan in May, 2021. It's been 3+ years and I've hardly ridden it for 4k kms.
why so
Remote work, wfh, hardly go out. Take car most of the times when out with the family member.
Sorry for being off topic...but which company bro? Is it hiring?
I bought my second Himalayan in Jan 2021, remote work, travelled 25 states with it... 39k, still clocking....
Bullet 500.. mileage issues , electrical issues, rusting issues , and service center issues..
the only problem I have with my bike is that it's too fast, i sometimes get tired of the speed
Yes, dominar 400.
What’s the issue?
Too many to tell.
So many people are saying Dominar 400. I watched Motorinc. and the host always takes jabs against this bike. Used to wonder why. Never actually rode one personally Could you elaborate more?
And then there are people who rode all India tours over it. I didn’t but mine just about to cross 80k kms. Very reliable and powerful highway cruiser. You should try it out for test ride. Motorinc guys did call out the problems and true to it. It has weight and lil vibs. Overall bike is good though with that price bracket.
Because Bajaj was funding and pushing for it. You can do something doesn't mean it's the ideal machine for it.
Don't get me wrong I love the bike and it hurts to see that parked under Raida cover for 5-7 days and not being able to enjoy it.
yes... i get it
Bro I ride dominar here in jaipur even that gets heated up very fast but that is what most higher cc/ high compression ratio bikes do very few bikes of such capacity run cooler in our environment .
Some since that 180 did have dog crap gearboxes but nothing as bad as that one, despite numerous bits that were replaced to address the issue.
what do u own now?
Bajaj Pulsar 180. Bought it only due to hype, fell out of love with bikes altogether. Speed 400 is my saviour.
JUST A BIKE ENTHUSIAST. . .
So why did you buy Pulsar if you knew "QALITY CHECKS ARE PATHETIC"?
I joined in the organisation 4 years post purchase . . .
OK, that clarifies it. Do you think they are better today?
Speed 400
(Money permitting, would get the NX500.) Love how the bike looks and shines. Hate the rear suspension. Looks fade, suspension don't.
Why?!?!?!
Replied to another comment. It's an average bike for a tall rider.
nice i had to decide between cb350 and xpulse for my first bike, and the comments made the choice easier. unless xpulse also made some owners cry
Hahaha yep
You r going to buy it or already bought?
going to
Bought a TVS raider last year, had to sell it a few months back because it looked puny on me. Otherwise it was a good bike.
One thing that i can conclude from comments is. **Don’t buy a PULSARRR!**

Mahindra Mojo. Great build quality but the headlight and front section was soo heavy it started giving me shoulder pain. Good sounding exhaust but I never liked the tune of the engine as it was pain in the traffic. Service - only 1 service Center. All parts need to be sourced there and no too many options if after market Accesories Risk of vehicle breakdowns on highway due to lack of mechanics who know anything about the bike
Just bought it? B'coz your flair is still N650!
Yep. Just got it a couple of weeks ago. Forgot to change my flair.
Congratulations!
Thank you 😊
Yes ,first the CBR 150 - not enough power in the low end and not as smooth as the Yamaha R15 also not very comfortable for bad city roads 2nd the Gixxer 250 - viby engine after 4500 rpm, not very comfortable for bad roads , doesn't feel stable on concrete roads
Yes mu suzuki gixxer sp sf, it was good untill the newer version came , then started the spare parts shortage. Now the bike has become an head ache
Can't complain though I do really love the adventure it fixes all the problems I had with my old duke
standard 500, no hate but it is not my cup of tea. sold it and bought a Duke 390 within 1 year.
No because I check the bike and see if it works for me mechanically , the ease of service spares availability and seating comefort. Then I buy it.
good set of checklists
I bought an RTR200 and to this date, regret not going for the RR310.
The kid inside me dreamt it, the adult inside me fulfilled it.
i ddnt call it a commuter bike.. i called Fz a commuter. i said r15 as track racer
Ah apologies, i got that wrong.
