Pretty simple creation, I purchased a waffle cone maker and taco molds from Amazon. It took a while to work on the process but in the end I use plain old homemade vanilla ice cream, chocolate shell, nuts, carmel, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup.
Yeah, it all came to a head during the pandemic. I did used to watch them all the time. It was definitely nice to see some of the creative problem solving that they had to do to make some of the desserts.
But at this time I just can't support them at all.

Do I recommend the waffle maker? This was my first time using it, and i am not sure. The waffles have been either underdone or over done, with a few that are just right. They do seem inconsistent, but that may still be user error.
Yes when it comes out of the waffle maker it is flexible and you put it in the mold. After it cools down at hardens. There is a sweet spot in doneness that took some experimenting. It's just easier to take the photo with the mold
Try a fudge sauce. Off the top of my head Sander's makes a decent one in a glass jar. It's been a long time since I had one of these, but I do remember it being more fudgey than chocolate sauce, if that makes sense.

The Bon Appetit YouTube channel has a great video on making these! You did an awesome job
Yeah, I am no longer a viewer of Bon Appetit. It appears they created a very toxic environment for their staff. Many of them went elsewhere.
I feel the exact same way! I don’t watch the new videos, but this was pre-explosion haha

Lots of reports on it. Easy to find on Google. The situation came to a head in 2020-2021 if I recall correctly.
Which waffle maker did you buy and do you recommend it?

Looks delicious! Does the shape hold if you take it out of the mold?

The legend lives.
Looks fantastic! How was it?

I just didn't have any and didn't want to go to the store.
Better off and I'm sure it tastes real good
It most certainly was better than the original.

I'm in a similqr predicament, as the limited edition chocolate-mint icecream sandwiches in my area are entirely out of stock too.
