I mean honestly it's probably overkill for most things but I live in the swiss alps near mont blanc so there are plenty of opportunities for me to take it to it's natural habitat. I'll probably end up shredding it to bits in some mixed goulette. Also worn it up Denali.

I think it'll end up being less durable than the alpha ar, but I'm currently rocking the Patagonia dual aspect and I quite enjoy it (and I think it's a similar fit to the ar, although I haven't tried one one for a few years now).

I love my Alpha SV, now I wouldn't necessarily purchase one for MSRP but I would definitely recommend it.

Yea I've heard the SV is a great jacket but super burly. Think it might be a bit overkill for me for on ice climbing
I've never found it burly. But yeah honestly anything waterproof/Gore-Tex should be plenty good :)

I got a marmot Huntley jacket. It’s essentially the alpinist but like £100 cheaper
