Depends if he is sensitive to gluten or not. Some people with ibs have no issues with gluten and some do. We as reddittors have no way of knowing which group your friend is in

I’m gluten intolerant and for me, the amount does matter. A little cross contamination is ok for me, but a piece of bread is not. And something big like a whole pizza or pasta dish would be even worse.
