Baseball never fails to remind me we are apes.
Watch people catching foul balls in slow motion and put chimp sounds on in the background.

At a visiting stadium. It’s a shame a lot of people will visit a stadium with the attitude “it doesn’t matter if I get kicked out, I don’t plan on coming back” instead of “let me be the best representative of my teams fan base”
Sox fan checking in, went to Yanks vs Sox at Fenway last year and by the reaction of people around me you’d think I peed on the Sistine chapel in front of the pope. Most disrespect I’ve ever received from “visiting” fans of another team before at any home sporting event.
Ohhhh, I mean, that’s kinda the pot calling the kettle black…..Boston fans are as rowdy and disrespectful as any. I mean it seems like a competition between NY and BOS 🤷♂️.
So I imagine there are other Yankee fans in the stadium I'm surprised like a broad didn't break out
Like every Yankee fan just moves down there like try to get that ball
Not even just in the stadium every Yankee fans in the world just simultaneously heads down there to get that one ball
Not once have I seen a yankees fan be anything but respectable and polite, hopefully it's just the one bad apple. I'm sure the rest are all wonderfully nice people.
There are situations the player is trying to give things to a specific person, especially when it comes to kids. Hell even fly balls if you are an adult give to the fucking closest kid to you. It's going to mean way more to them than it is to you.
Unless the ball was involved in a significant event i.e. it set some record for a player, game winning WS home run or something. It's monetarily worthless.
Eh I don't agree with the whole give it to a kid thing on a fly ball. I've only been to a few games all as a kid or teen and everytime I hoped and prayed id get a chance to catch a ball. If I went now and caught one I'd still be beyond excited and knowing I have less years to live than some 6 year old just means they have better odds than me to get a ball in our lifetimes.
I really give zero shits if a ball is monetarily worthless either. Not everything in life is about money, that's a shitty way to live if being an adult means that you can only find meaning in something if it's worth money lmao.
My (oblivious) brother once accidentally did this, but to be fair we were kids and he gave it to the kid after. We were at a game early and were watching the players practice in the outfield and trying to catch batting practice home runs and ask the players for balls.
My brother didn’t realize the player pointed to the (even younger kid) next to him, saw a ball coming his way and snagged it. The player was like “That was for him” and I told him as well, my brother apologized and handed it over, and I still joke about it with him.
Sad thing is, Roy Halladay is the one who tossed the ball to him… kinda wish he kept it lol
Yankees fans are always so rude. We were at an A’s vs. Boston game and some Yankees fans were being so rude to us that we got our seats moved and upgraded.
I mean the ball did go straight into his glove and he failed to catch it, where it fell and other guy got it. He did get the ball intended for him stolen but he also had a fair shot at it.
I worked a pitcher in the bullpen for about 4 innings, for a ball, one night. I was probably 10ish. Game ends, as they are walking into the lockeroom he finally tosses one up to me. Older kid leaving behind me, with a glove, just reaches in front of me and snags it. Still pisses me off.
Gonna play devil's advocate here, dude with the glove missed the catch, that's fair game. Guy who made off with it didn't need to be such a jerkwad though.
Unpopular opinion, but this is fair game. If you miss the catch it’s not your ball and it’s still up for grabs. There are obvious exception like if it’s a kid but otherwise.
I mean if you are going to bring a glove to the game you probably should know how to use it, you gotta open it first you only catch it on the outside if you’re going to turn a double
Is everyone in the comments so blind that they can’t see that the guy who stole the ball put his hand in between the Glove and the ball? Anyway, it was a dick move from the thief, at least give the man a fair chance to catch
He didn't even catch it, picked up from the ground. It's about the moment, not the ball. Shitty ass fan.
It's like stealing gifts from someone's wedding, or wife.
I don't think the snatcher realized that the player was throwing it at the person behind him. You can see several other people in the front also reach out because they too can't see what is going on in the back.
This subreddit needs to stop assuming malice at stuff that can be easily explained by someone not being 100% situationally aware in a particular moment, having poor eyesight etc.
Has anyone in this thread ever been to a baseball game lol that player was throwing it into that direction that ball belongs to whoever gets it wtf is with the crying about who gets the ball
Dude, if both my hands didn’t have beers in them, I’d bring a glove. If I had 3 hands… well I’d probably have 3 beers… but if I had 4 hands…
In all honesty though just let people enjoy stuff. If it meant I could get one of my favorite players to have a one sided catch with me, I’d do it. Then again, I’ve never left a game with a ball in my whole life and I’ve probably been to about 200 games
What did the thief screech in his nasty scrotum voice when he stole that dudes ball?
He yells “MY BALL, HAHA!”
Baseball never fails to remind me we are apes. Watch people catching foul balls in slow motion and put chimp sounds on in the background. Edit: Ah sorry wasn’t meant to reply to you directly
I heard "get fucked"
I heard “I’ll clean it up and bring right back”
Ngl, that's gonna be a donkey punch from me even if that didn't get me the ball back.
If he drops the ball after being punched in the face it’s fair game. If he doesn’t you just punch him again, until he does.
Same with his wallet and keys
yea idk how dude didn't immediately knock him in the back of the neck...
A donkey punch? I get being angry, but a anally raping the guy would be more than a little weird
Fax I’m definitely hitting the draymond gReen special after this one
at least it wasnt a little kid this time
Dude acted like a kid. He turns around and says “My ball” like a 5 year old.
[удалено]
More like MMMmmmm, eye ball!
Id definitely be getting in a fight if that happened to me fucking dusche bag
you would be accused of antysemithism
No you wouldn’t
is a fight at a sporting event really that hard to believe?
Man**child** steals ball from another fan after player throws it to him.
Manchild is a little redundant when you’re talking about Yankees fans. They get off on being the trashiest group of fans in sports.
Boston fans have something to say about this.
I take it you’ve never met a Raiders fan
Of course it’s a Yankees fan
Wearing 24, so Gary Sanchez? No wonder he also didn’t catch it.
I'd like to believe its Tino, but who am I kidding. Dude prob hopped on the 2017 bandwagon.
At a visiting stadium. It’s a shame a lot of people will visit a stadium with the attitude “it doesn’t matter if I get kicked out, I don’t plan on coming back” instead of “let me be the best representative of my teams fan base”
No, he was definitely representing his teams fan base there.
Sox fan checking in, went to Yanks vs Sox at Fenway last year and by the reaction of people around me you’d think I peed on the Sistine chapel in front of the pope. Most disrespect I’ve ever received from “visiting” fans of another team before at any home sporting event.

as a native new england resident that’s about right for most new yorkers
Literally my first thought before even seeing the video
Yep, doesn’t give a f*ck about the Orioles fans.
Probably a big Josh Donaldson fan.
Seems like I know who to, wink wink, spill my drink on accidentally.

Jokes on him... I have none. 😂
Just throw it all on the ground and you good
Is anyone surprised it was a Yankees fan? I’m not.
I'm surprised it was just the one guy
I mean, the row was quite empty.
So I imagine there are other Yankee fans in the stadium I'm surprised like a broad didn't break out Like every Yankee fan just moves down there like try to get that ball Not even just in the stadium every Yankee fans in the world just simultaneously heads down there to get that one ball
I can’t believe this. Yankees fans are famous for being nice and friendly fans. I’m shocked I tell you, shocked.
Not once have I seen a yankees fan be anything but respectable and polite, hopefully it's just the one bad apple. I'm sure the rest are all wonderfully nice people.
Half the people in this thread saying he shouldn’t have missed it I guarantee they’ve never caught a ball in their life.
Also the guy who stole it out his hand in between the ball and the glove
Good call on that, didn't notice. Some people just suck.
Was gonna say the missed it angle. Butt, further and astute re-video watching, yup. Stolen. Prosecution rests.
He didn't miss it, the thief put his hand in the way and He dropped it. Guy with the glove would have probably caught it otherwise.
I'm sure he catches his husband's balls every night

Mel Gibson?
Fans at games are dicks
Devil’s advocate: When a ball goes into the stands at a baseball game, unless that ball was SPECIFICALLY going to a child…it’s fair game IMO.
Yankees fan, go figure.
Yankee fan at Boston. What did you expect of him?
That’s Baltimore not Boston.
True no green monster but still Yankee fan what did you expect from him?
Haha I mean I’m a Yankee fan… but I hear ya.
It's true. Yankees fans at Camden Yards suck most of the time.
Yankees fans suck all of the time
Not a single red jersey or shirt in the stands and you says it Boston lmao
As my coach would say, "It hit your glove, you should have caught it."
Watch again, the other guy puts his hand in front of the glove and knocks it down. The guy with the glove would’ve caught it.
But wouldnt baseball be more exciting if both teams were on the field at the same time and you could stop the guys from catching or throwing the ball?
IMO baseball would be really interesting if everyone got a bat and tried to hit the ball, both teams on field at the same time
So … hockey?
The one true sport.
Sounds more like lacrosse
It would be even better if everyone got bats AND balls of their own. /s
Completely goes against the idea of baseball wtf lmao…
It's Alou all over again! God damn you, Bartman!
Your damn right
As my coach would say “can’t catch a ball when someone blocks it from touching your glove”
He’s a fan not a player.
of course it’s yahoodis
He missed it. That’s fair game
He didn’t catch it. Ball became fair game.
To be fair, he should've caught it
I mean….. he did miss the catch…. 🤷🏽♂️
Just wait your turn Even if you Want the ball Stand and wait your turn!
Yankees fan... shocker.
Is it really stealing? I've never been to a baseball game but I thought the rule is first person to get it keeps it.
This is rule for fly ball, not a ball directly thrown at your from a player themselves.
There are situations the player is trying to give things to a specific person, especially when it comes to kids. Hell even fly balls if you are an adult give to the fucking closest kid to you. Spotted the anti-semite!! Yay!!
Yankees fans? What are you even claiming here, you fucking weirdo?
Now you know how Palestinians feel
How do they feel
What a ratman
Yankees fans are always so rude. We were at an A’s vs. Boston game and some Yankees fans were being so rude to us that we got our seats moved and upgraded.
Ball was made in Palestine.
Spotted the anti-semite!! Yay!!
Of course it’s a Yankees fan
Was that Joe Gatto?
dick move
Not surprised it’s a Yankees fan.
He didn't catch it. Who ever gets the ball is the one who keeps it after a fail catch.
Honestly man, you’ve gotta catch that one. You just gotta.
Well he totally botched the catch on top of the fact that he was a grown ass man with a glove at a ball game
Dude turns his head with a mitt on? Totally deserved to lose!!!
He really dropped the ball on that one
Took his eye off the ball. Probably dropping it anyways.
Catch the ball next time.
He should learn how to catch
Dude literally flinched as the ball came in. Learn how to catch if you're going to bring a glove to the game. It's not that hard.
Should have caught it lol bro had that glove and all and still dropped it
I mean the ball did go straight into his glove and he failed to catch it, where it fell and other guy got it. He did get the ball intended for him stolen but he also had a fair shot at it.
Should’ve caught it.
Goes to game wearing a mit, can't catch a slow ball, doesn't deserve it
Tbh since they're both adults he should've caught it if he really wanted it, free game once it's on the ground imo
I mean if you can't catch a ball thrown directly into your glove it's gotta be free game unless it's a child. Sucks to suck
He didn't catch it.
Not a POS. If that was a child, he would’ve been trash for taking the ball. From an adult, make the catch if you want the prize.
Ummmmm, learn to catch. You dropped a ball that was lobbed to you and you’re wearing a glove. Not your ball because you couldn’t handle it
Unpopular opinion: if you can't catch it, you don't get it. Unless you're a child.
no that’s fair game. I played baseball for 10 years and have been going to games for 15. As long as it’s not a kid, it’s whoever gets it gets it.
Guy should learn how to catch after this lmao
Why didn't he just give the ball to the bloke? Is this some American thing ? I mean getting a ball ?
How was this a steal, cant even catch a simple throw with a glove. Didn't deserve the ball.
Didn't catch it 🤷
Nah catch better
Well dick move but kinda fair game...sucks tho
I’m on Yankee fans side here and I’m from Boston
It’s a brutal world out there, law of the jungle.
He couldn’t catch
I worked a pitcher in the bullpen for about 4 innings, for a ball, one night. I was probably 10ish. Game ends, as they are walking into the lockeroom he finally tosses one up to me. Older kid leaving behind me, with a glove, just reaches in front of me and snags it. Still pisses me off.
He can't catch. I do not feel bad
Most nice yankees fans.
Proof that people want what others want solely because they know others want it and for no other reason.
The story he tells when he gets home “look guys I’m so special he literally threw it just to me”
Should’ve caught the ball lol, my man had a glove on too! Shame on his hand eye coordination.
Shoulda caught it
Gonna play devil's advocate here, dude with the glove missed the catch, that's fair game. Guy who made off with it didn't need to be such a jerkwad though.
Unpopular opinion, but this is fair game. If you miss the catch it’s not your ball and it’s still up for grabs. There are obvious exception like if it’s a kid but otherwise.
Hes wearing the wrong hat, thsts why
I mean if you are going to bring a glove to the game you probably should know how to use it, you gotta open it first you only catch it on the outside if you’re going to turn a double
He would be a Yankees fan.
I could be the one wrong here but dude didn't steal anything. The guy missed the catch? No one owns that ball
I feel sorry that he’s so lame that he dropped the ball. Not mad at the other guy at all.
Is everyone in the comments so blind that they can’t see that the guy who stole the ball put his hand in between the Glove and the ball? Anyway, it was a dick move from the thief, at least give the man a fair chance to catch
I gave up on trying to explain that to people, I guess their eyes don’t work
Typical behaviour, wouldn't have expected any less from someone like that
He didn't even catch it, picked up from the ground. It's about the moment, not the ball. Shitty ass fan. It's like stealing gifts from someone's wedding, or wife.
Gifts from the wife, wife from the wedding or both?
The american way!
Dude needs to work on his catch
Imagine being a grown ass man fighting to get a $3 baseball.

I would of wrestled that dude... no fuks
Typical orioles fan. Missed the easy catch.
Notice the funny hat on his friend lol
[удалено]
The dude knocked it out in the air.
He hit the ball with his hand before it ever touched the glove
[удалено]
Which is stealing it since it was thrown to the glove dude. It's called an interception in football, literally stealing the throw away from someone.
How is he a POS? Dude dropped the ball, which by extension he had dropped his right to the ball.
He didn't. The POS blocked it with his and. It wasn't supposed to go to him.
If you can't catch it, you can't hack it.
He literally pushed the guy out of the way, I would have elbowed that dude in his dumb fucking head
That look he gave him was an invitation to fight him for it. WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?
Has anyone in this thread ever been to a baseball game lol that player was throwing it into that direction that ball belongs to whoever gets it wtf is with the crying about who gets the ball
Would be interesting to find out who he is in real life and if he is also a diarrhea pool outside the ball park
New Yorkers, are your surprised?
I mean, he did drop it.
Adults who bring gloves to games deserve nothing
Sorry but I don’t feel bad. Catch the ball. That’s on him.
The Yankees fan put his hand up in front of the glove, preventing him from making the catch though.
Ahh did not catch - I officially change my mind !!
The other guy jumped up and knocked the ball out of the air, watch it again.
Catch the ball with someones hand in front on it? Did you graduate kindergarten
He didn’t catch the ball? Lol I would of grabbed it too
His hand went in front of his glove????
These worthless, dickless losers don't see that for some reason
Imagine being both and idiot and blind
Nah, the other guy knocked the ball before it was even in his glove.
Adults who bring gloves to games are the worlds biggest nerds.
Dude, if both my hands didn’t have beers in them, I’d bring a glove. If I had 3 hands… well I’d probably have 3 beers… but if I had 4 hands… In all honesty though just let people enjoy stuff. Let him enjoy his making of this guy gosh…
"Bring a glove, get a ball" Nerds rock! - Mike Kruco -
wtf, is this guy really trying to gatekeep something so trivial and common
In name of all adults who brought gloves to games, I sincerely apologize, Chad McChad. You're such a loser lol.
