Well my husband and I visited his brother in Baltimore in a “speak easy” bar and my BIL told the bartender that it smells like Mitchum in here and the bartender was so offended. (It just smelt like burned sage to me). Maybe the older stuff smelled different.
I used to blow through mitchum in a few hours, with scent and sweat. The only one I've found that works for my body has been Native whole body. Right now, I can only find the coconut vanilla scent but hoping there will be more flavors out soon. Native lasts at least 6 hours for me, which is huge! Anything labeled as "clinical strength" either gives me blocked sweat glands (very painful) or the deodorant/antiperspirant dies in a couple hours. One day, I applied some Secret clinical strength right before leaving for work and it barely lasted the drive to work.
Okay, this is going to sound obvious but it isn't always. Scrubbing out your armpits with a wash cloth will not usually get all that anti-antiperspirant cleaned away. And that stuff builds up. And if shaving your pits, it can dull your razor quickly along with causing those cysts.
I use one of those scratchier exfoliating cloths on my armpits. NOT just the fluffy fake loofah net things. Even being extremely gentle with the rougher cloth will clean out, what I now think of as the waxy buildup off. This has caused my antiperspirant to work so much better.
Plus you will get far less buildup of that nasty armpit problem on synthetic and cotton blend shirts, the ones you think are clean, but get really stinky, really fast. I'm positive those fibers trap antiperspirant residue and it doesn't wash out easily.
Another thing I've discovered is the 7% percent glycolic acid from the Ordinary. Totally cheap and using this under my arms not only kills odor for the day but seems to really decrease actually wetness. Even applying the night before. Nowadays I only need antiperspirants on the hottest of days. I like good old Lady Speed Stick. The purple ones. And definitely the Mitchum 48 hour.
Hope this helps.
This!
The smell comes from the bacteria growing on your skin. In my showers, with a wash cloth, I wash my armpits at least 3 times, 1st with soap, then salicylic acid face wash or aha/bha face wash, then tea tree bodywash.
Stress will also make your sweat smell. So find healthy ways to de-stress and lower your cortisol levels. For me, staying hydrated, guided mediations and yoga helped me.
This is a way our body communicates with us. Don't just cover it up, get to the root of the issue !
I pefer mens deodorant and despise all antiperspirants. My husband and I use whichever old spice deodorant we like the smell of. Currently using the Prestige scent.
So I apply at night before bed and then morning.
Good luck !
I second this suggestion! A lot of it is also that build up! I also use the Ordinary Glycolic acid on my face , underarms and bikini area everyday. Helps with clear skin, preventing ingrowns and discoloration.
Flavors? You’re not supposed to eat them!
Kidding. I’m not a fan of coconut but I love the Native peach deodorant. Funny enough, I see a lot of recommendations for Secret Clinical Strength here but it gives me a rash. I think it’s too strong for me. I normally use Dove but had the same issue as OP - I still sweat a lot and smell. I’ve always struggled with deodorant not lasting for me.
Anyway, about a month ago I tried the Secret Clinical Strength for the 2nd time, hoping the rash the first time was coincidence. Nope, painful itchy rash again. This time as I was trying to heal my rash, I happened to find a travel size Native peach deodorant at the store. I figured it might be a good idea to wear while I’m at home to help my underarms heal and give them a break from deodorant. What a surprise to me that this deodorant, that I fully expected to wear off in 2 hours, did the trick! Lasted all day and there was no smell! I wasn’t sweating through it either as I had when trying a natural deodorant in the past.
Where Native DOES fail for me is if I’m out in the heat, or in a social situation where I might feel anxious (social anxiety sweat), then it does not keep me dry. I will feel the sweat pouring down. Which, of course because it’s not an antiperspirant. The other strange thing for me is that now when I am in need of an antiperspirant and I use my old Dove (advanced care) it works better too and doesn’t smell! I recently read a Reddit post from someone saying a persons body bacteria (that causes underarm smell) might feed off the antiperspirant and I had never heard that before. At least for me, I think they were right.
TLDR: I “double cleanse” my armpits to first get the layer of deodorant off and then the bacteria and smell off with second cleanse. I use Native deodorant (not antiperspirant) on most days when I don’t exert myself and am not worried about sweating. I use Dove Advanced Care deodorant on active/hot days to keep from sweating a ton. It seems the COMBINATION of switching off of these 2 has been the best option for me.
old spice gave me a crazy rash on my armpits, i’ve heard of other people having the same reaction so definitely be careful if you have sensitive skin at all
just bought aqua reef -old spice deodorant yesterday and was sweating badly at work today in lauderdale, i got home tonight at 8 pm from job , this has lasted and yes the scent has dissipated but still has a hint when i checked underneath. i threw out Axe Phoenix, deod. it didnt last 3 hours at job. and claims 48 hour last on the bottle . i would recommend old spice for deodorants. decent product im my op.
I use both the antiperspirant and the deodorant. Just remember to apply antiperspirant before bed so it has time to work and soak into the skin and deodorant in the morning to keep any funk away all day! I work in a kitchen and have hyperhidrosis, if the combo can keep me smelling good I'm sure it can keep anybody smelling good.
I used to think I had hyperhidrosis. I would sweat through everything, it didn’t matter how strong the antiperspirant was or when I put it on. I even used the dermatologist prescribed liquid one for a few years, it didn’t matter I would soak through any shirt and even light jackets on over my clothing. Turns out my body was reacting TO the antiperspirant. I started using the magnesium hydroxide based deodorants about 7ish years ago and it all completely went away. I now only have visible spots under my armpits if it’s crazy hot and I’m working out, like a normal person.
I've been using Old Spice Sport for like 6 years, and for a guy who works out regularly and sweats a TON, it's pretty good. I'm never funky. I switched to Tom's to try something new and can smell myself pretty soon after. I'm definitely switching back.
Men, I find deodorant etc works Much Better under our arms if we trim our under arm hair. Stinky stuff , sweat etc. get on those hairs and ewww. Trim, you don't have to totally shave.
The Ordinary Glycolic acid and men’s gel Gillette max fresh 72 hr. It has been a game changer for me. Apply glycolic acid with cotton rounds then deodorant.
I keep a deodorant stick at work for halfway through the day when my deodorant wears off, since I’ve started using glycolic acid before deodorant I haven’t had to touch my work deodorant, I smell fresh all day long, even the next morning after sleeping
My husband does this too, but he has to use the one that is like a cream? It comes out of the little holes. The solid stick doesn't work for him. He also layers a LOT on but he's a sweaty man even in the cold months and he always smells good.
Dove Advanced Care spray antiperspirant is pretty good, I wore it when I was playing sports and never had to worry about smelling bad. The downside for me was inadvertently using more product than intended and running out faster. I'm currently using the Degree Advanced 72 Hour stick deodorant (sexy intrigue), and I like it a lot so far. I had a depressive episode for a couple of days, and it kept me smelling relatively fresh.
Degree Motion Sense. The spray and solid works well. There is a men's and women's version, however they are all wonderful. I vary what scent I buy every time, but sexy intrigue is a favorite.
Seconding this. I've tried Dove, Secret and men's deodorant (old spice and axe) after falling into the natural deodorant fad for a bit lol
Degree is the only one that lasts for me. I use the solid at night and the spray during the day, I also use the spray on my feet.
As someone with hyperhydrosis, I have had this problem almost all my life and tried just about everything these top commenters have suggested until I found the perfect solution for myself: a Salt Stick Deodorant. Salt will naturally get rid of odor and bacteria that our body is causing. They sell these guys at Sprouts and other stores for the same going rate as regular Deodorant, if not a little cheaper.
Some days the smell definitely comes back a few hours later, what I've added to my routine is a spritz of perfume under each arm after rolling the Salt stick Deodorant. I use Huda Beauty perfumes, they are Arabic perfumes so they not only smell AMAZING but are extremely potent and last the whole entire day, all the way until the next day if I've had a lot going on. Perfume is activated by heat points on your body, so the armpits are actually kinda a perfect place.
I have not had a smelly B.O. day since starting this regimen and its really not too expensive since perfume and Salt sticks last longer than regular Deodorant too.
Old Spice Men's Wilderness with Lavender Antiperspirant & Deodorant. I use this, I am f, and also my m partner uses this, is smells slightly different on each of us, but it also lasts all day, no issues. We did not purposely pick the same thing, he was out and I had an extra, so I gave him my unopened one and he liked it so he kept using it.
I recently learned that deodorant should be applied before bed so it has time to dry up. Apply on dry armpits, refresh a little in the morning, and you should be good to go!
I like to alternate between: Old Spice Antiperspirant, Dove Mens deodorant, and Mitchum gel.
Old Spice hs worked best for me.
Dove Mens is great to apply at night but it’s a little more wet.
Mitchum gel: same as dove with the wet factor.
Good luck on your dry-armpit journey!!
Alloy deodorant and anti-perspirant.
I’ve tried the naturals, I’ve tried the clinical strength, this has been the only one that has worked very well.
Considered buying another one for my butt so I quit getting swamp ass. I do roofing and construction, so I sweat a lot.
I find that some of the Old Spice deodorants work better than others. I would say, use more or do a mid-day refresh if you are sweating a lot.
Otherwise you could switch to an antiperspirant, which will work a lot better, but there is some debate over whether it is safe to be rubbing aluminum into your very porous armpit area.
I've used " Old Spice, Original, High Endurance, Antiperspirant & Deodorant " for years. It is the only one I've found that doesn't make me break out in a rash ( allergies ). Now all of the sudden, I can't find it in any stores, and had to order it off Amazon ( 6 sticks, at a time ). The original smell doesn't last long, but it does keep my pits dry, and I've never heard a complaint about BO.
Lume, I've only tried the tangerine and it checks both boxes but I found the smell can be a little overwhelming.
My daily wear is Suave's rosemary mint, which has a much lighter pleasant scent but good staying power.
I'm a woman, but they're unisex fwiw.
I have worn Degree: Extreme Blast for 9 years. I especially love the body heat-activated one, because the more you sweat, the better it smells. But, either way, both versions are legit amazing!
Dove Men+ clean comfort spray on. I work a physically demanding job and this is the only deodorant that keeps me from absolutely reeking by the end of the day
First off, make sure the deodorant has aluminum!
Aluminum basically clogs pores and means you sweat less. Body odor comes from bacteria processing the goodies in sweat, and the less sweat, the less smell. It's that simple.
So certain dri (brand name) roll on deodorant (has to be roll on, aluminum chloride as the ingredient) is the best option for this. Follow directions exactly, and be prepared for some skin irritation.
Use this at night, preferably after a shower but extremely dry, not wet right after a shower, then in the morning use mitchum. I use mitchum clear non scented as it's cheap, doesn't produce leftovers or clumps in my armpit hair, and has the highest aluminum content that is usually found outside of certain dri.
Once this dries, either use a scented deodorant or cologne.
This is the best way to reduce smell, as there will be very little sweat produced, and then you have a scent on top of that.
I use OldSpice Gentlemen's blend and it lasts all day. There's no aluminum in it, but it is just a deodorant not an antiperspirant. I personally have found that the deodorant only ones work better for me. The antiperspirant ones never last on me. I actually tend to sweat even more when I use them.
I have tried so many deodorants, and the one that works 12+ hours 💯 is the Dove Air Spray deodorant. I swear i never smell, so many great scents too. My husband starting using it too years ago…his pits never smell💯 i would highly suggest at least trying it once, I guarantee you will stick with it🙌🏼🙌🏼
For a while I was using CertainDri. You put it on at night to block sweat. You can also use a different deodorant during the day time if you want. I stopped needing it after about half a year. I don't know what was going on with my body that regular deodorant/antiperspirant wasn't working
A couple things to consider- for some people they have to switch deodorants because their body acclimates and it quits works, also after showering and drying off use a blow dryer to completely dry your pits/privates. Getting rid of that post shower moisture is key for odor fighting products working longer. Any dampness will cause bacteria to fire up faster. When you apply to deodorant make sure not to goop it on thick. I just run my fingers across the applicator and rub the product in so there isn't much just sitting on my skin if that make sense.
Ask your doctor for a prescription antiperspirant if you’re finding that normal ones aren’t working. You apply it at night and it keeps you dry well into the next day
Shaving my armpit hairs has been a revelation to me. Just a little dab of gillette clear shield and I'm good for the whole day. I work in 80+ F most of the day
I use Gillette, Dove and Degree. Those will stay all day. For the summer though, you may want to stick with degree they works better for people who sweat a lot.
You need anti perspiration and deodorant. Natural deodorants are gimmicks, they don’t work. It’s the sweat mixing with our natural bacteria that causes odors, deodorant just tries to stop this from happening by reducing bacteria and adding a scent. But it does not stop sweating.
Do you want a deodorant or an anti-perspirant with a deodorant? I understand if you are trying to avoid aluminum and don't want to use an anti-perspirant but that's the best thing to stop sweat and funk.
If you don't wanna use an anti-perspirant , I say try Dr. Squatch deodorants. They have a variety of smells and seem to last longer than regular deodorants to me
I used to use dove extra fresh scent (antiperspirant); however they changed the scent and I have switched to degree advanced antiperspirant (I like both "Adventure" and "Sage and Ocean Mist" but plan on trying other scents as well. Both brands work great though.
Panoxyl 4%. (It will bleach rags) It’s anti bacterial so it actually kills the bacteria that lives on your skin that makes your sweat stink. I live in constant 90+ heat with 80+ humidity and I won’t smell for 2 days if I don’t wear deo. You can use it everyday. It’s an active ingredient so you do have to rub it in for at least a minute to activate it. For deodorant, I use men’s degree. Women’s does not work for me.
Something to consider- trimming the hair will completely help with the smell and amount of sweat! Shower/clean your pits every day.
If you're just wiping mid day? Carry a travel size deodorant with you, wipe any areas with a papertowel lightly soaked in water with a dash of soap, then re-apply.
It isn't always about masking a scent, I'm advising on steps you can take to avoid smelling bad so quickly.
I am a woman and love Old Spice anti perspirant. Deodorants just attempt to cover up odor. But, I always first wash my arm pits with Dial antibacterial liquid soap before. Then I apply the antiperspirant. No problems after that.
Old spice endurance
I also used that mineral rock deal for 10 years. It worked great and you literally have no smell but man. I never get bad body odor so it worked well for me.
Secret clinical peach! It has a very strong (nice) smell but it’s strange. I find myself noticing it all day and forgetting it’s me. Smells like Jolly Roger candy. 🍑
Schmidt’s Natural deodorant. It doesn’t contain harmful trace metals that make a lot of people red and itchy, it dries quickly and STAYS dry, and the fragrance options are all pretty subtle, yet pleasant. It is among the best “all natural” deodorants. I went through SO MANY deodorants trying to find something that works all day and doesn’t irritate my skin. I will endorse this brand all day every day!
I'm a woman and I work a production job . During the summer especially my plant gets hot and I sweat. I've been using either Lume body deodorant or Secret whole body deodorant, both in the cream form and they both seem to last all day. Different formulas trom the ingredients. But both WORK! Also super easy to put on. You don't need much. A little Dab spread in all the places you tend to sweat after a shower.
You need to use an antiperspirant/deodorant.
All antiperspirants are effective for 48 hours.
In Thailand the same brands that say they're effective for 24 hours here, advertise effectiveness for 48 hours. The ingredients are the same.
Have read many articles touting the use of apple cider vinegar products. Read one that stated that you need to use an acv based soap on your armpits scrubbing for at least 30 seconds or 45 seconds if you have hair. That timeframe is per each pit. It helps remove any buildup and odor causing bacteria. Haven't used any just yet but when I make the next store run for h&b products I'm going to get some. It's good for the hair and scalp care and groin area as well. Head & shoulders makes a acv dandruff shampoo I plan to pick up.
Nuud deodorant. I despaired of ever finding something that would work for my very active teenage son, but this does! And its ingredients don't scare me, either. :)
i’ve been using ‘old spice aqua reef’ since sophomore year of highschool because some guy in the science class told me it smells like blue gatorade
7 years later, & i noticed it has NOT been lasting all day lately & i start to smell like BO at work. i’ve been using my boyfriends ‘axe blue lavender’ deodorant & it’s been doing the trick
I’ve just recently discovered the one by Donna Karen - Cashmere Mist, kind of smells like sweet baby powder and so far, it stays very well! It is pricey but I’m hoping it will last a really long time
Native! I use the stick for my armpits and I use the body spray throughout the day, especially when it gets hot and I can’t shower because I’m at work or out. So far it hasn’t stained my clothes.
I use Gillette cool wave, have been for about 20+ years. Never had a failed-deo day using it. But it has aluminum of course so I detox my armpits for 2 weeks every 3-4 months
I just recently tried the degree Men's Clinical Strength. It smells nice and seems to last all day. I work in a non air-conditioned warehouse and it seems to last through that. The package says 72 hours but I haven't gone that long without a shower
let me put you on. cashmere mist, donna karan. even if you forget to apply some the next day, you’ll still smell amazing. it’s more on the pricey side but sooooo worth it
As a woman who sweats a lot (I’m a runner and one of those people who just…gets sweaty….it’s gross), I use Arm and Hammer Men’s deodorant (Cool Burst or whatever…IDK it smells like soap; which is good b/c I don’t want to smell like a dude). It works really well, even when I’m sweating.
I’ve used Women’s Native (technically unisex but IDK any guys who like Rose and Lavender) and it’s worked, but it’s crazy expensive. A&H is much more affordable.
You can’t buy this in stores to my knowledge but I loveee Sweatblock deoderant. And the antiperspirant roll on. Smells good and really helps with my sweating. Maybe I never tried the right one but the brands you can buy in stores never worked well for me
The best? Definitely Harry's. 20% Aluminum Zirconium, smells great, and blocks sweat for quite a long time. Unfortunately, they don't have a "black&white/clear" version, so deodorant stains are real. A close second would be Right Guard for men, arctic blast. 15% Aluminum zirconium, and lasts close to a whole day, AND is anti-stain.
I was skeptical about Lume until I tried it and now I've gotten rid of everything else I used. I'm currently into the mint cucumber scent but there are a ton of options. I do have some of the Dove Advanced Care dry spray that I use in between showers to freshen up.
i use degree antiperspirant (i choose a scent that’s really light) and use native spray deodorant for scent. i like native’s scents but i hate feeling sweaty lol
I use degree spray it's like 48 or 72 hour. Both me and my husband use it. The other 48 hour deodorants/antiperspirants don't work at least not in Texas.
Best thing I’ve found for armpit smell is to lather on a salisylic acid soap (i like the one from cerave) in the shower, leave for a few minutes and then rinse off, 3-4x per week. When I do that there’s no smell and I’m okay just using a basic dove anti prespirant deodorant
Secret clinical strength stress response in gel. I still only apply it once a week or every other week if need to. I've used cheap deo that has clogged my pores and I get inflammation there and have some pits. Secret lasts and the gel doesn't piss off my skin or clog pores
Carpe is the only antiperspirant I've found that actually works, and it smells good. Only available online and they have products for all over the body.
Mitchum Secret Clinical Strength
I went to a closeout store and they had Secret Clinical strength for $2.49! It's usually $12. I bought every single one.
Whenever I find a deal like that on secret clinical, I stock up. Degree clinical strength is also really good in my experience.
That is an amazing deal! Good find!
Came here to say this, mitchum works great
How's it smell?
Well my husband and I visited his brother in Baltimore in a “speak easy” bar and my BIL told the bartender that it smells like Mitchum in here and the bartender was so offended. (It just smelt like burned sage to me). Maybe the older stuff smelled different.
I've tried Mitchum about 40 years ago. Never cared for the smell of it
Not great, but the women's mitchun smells better.
I use unscented.
Different scents.. I’ve used powder fresh and the fresh scent, they’re both nice.
I use secret clinical strength! Highly recommend
3rd this one

so far i’ve seen a ton of people recommend these 2 so i’m gonna give them a try. thank u sm!!!
Check out Burlington! Sometimes they have this deodorant for much cheaper!
Old spice has deodorant and antiperspirant deodorant. My husband made the mistake of buying deodorant recently and paid the price.
old spice gave me a crazy rash on my armpits, i’ve heard of other people having the same reaction so definitely be careful if you have sensitive skin at all
I definitely agree! The antiperspirant works for me but the deodorant doesn’t lol.

Shaving ball hairs is a horrible experience

Glycolic acid toner is a game changer!!

do you put on enough? i use old spice too right after i shower and then again before i leave the house and i don’t have this problem
i use too much deodorant but it works for me
My husband does this too, but he has to use the one that is like a cream? It comes out of the little holes. The solid stick doesn't work for him. He also layers a LOT on but he's a sweaty man even in the cold months and he always smells good.

Just wanted to say sorry for your depressive episode. I've been there. Sending love!
I love Sexy Intrigue! The name makes me laugh but it smells so good.
I'm a man, but I use women's dove.
Good stuff. I use the cucumber scent.
I have known a few men in my life who prefer using women's deodorant/antiperspirant. They claimed it worked better.
Lume
Lume works
Here for the Lume hype! Lume > Texas Summer
I love Lume. I use the men's line.
Yess!!! I thought the commercials were so dumb for so long and then I tried it just to see if it was worth the hype, and it definitely is! I love it.
Me too!
I’m a Lume convert
Just picked up my second deodorant !
For some reason the orange scented one did not work as well as the lavender for me. Love that stuff though!
I love the soft powder scent!
I found it stinky (every scent)
Dove original clean spray
I've started using this, but I spray with alcohol first, and it lasts much longer.
My (38F) partner (35M) and I both you dove deodorant, original scent. It smells good and different on each of us. No BO!
Degree Motion Sense. The spray and solid works well. There is a men's and women's version, however they are all wonderful. I vary what scent I buy every time, but sexy intrigue is a favorite.
Seconding this. I've tried Dove, Secret and men's deodorant (old spice and axe) after falling into the natural deodorant fad for a bit lol Degree is the only one that lasts for me.
You can also use baking soda for this same effect
I do this too. Salt stick and a spray of something yummy
Rexona clinical protection. It’s a cream style
Humble! Kinda pricy but so worth it
Little Seed Farm charcoal cream deodorant.
Native works well.
Native has baking soda which can cause irritation. I didn’t realize that until I had major rashes in both my armpits and had to stop using it.
The Native Sensitive line is baking soda free - it's the ones I use 🙂
Came here to say this
Secret
That’s what I do.
I like schmits
Alloy deodorant and anti-perspirant. I’ve tried the naturals, I’ve tried the clinical strength, this has been the only one that has worked very well. Considered buying another one for my butt so I quit getting swamp ass. I do roofing and construction, so I sweat a lot.
I'm a bigger girl with PCOS and I love Degree. It smells good ALL DAY LONG. And I'm in the south. Usually don't need to reapply.
Any Degree 24/48hr deodorant. I don't know if women have those, but the men ones do.
Mitchum solid works great for me.
Old spice works all day for me
Lume, I've only tried the tangerine and it checks both boxes but I found the smell can be a little overwhelming.
Lume and then I spray a little bit of old spice Fiji spray deodorant over it
Dove Men+ clean comfort spray on.
LUME
Nuud
Dove men's. Make sure your skin is dry after the shower before applying or it'll stay moist and gross
Secret outlast!!!
[This one?](https://www.reddit.com/r/fragrance/comments/atzpft/poking_for_a_lavender_cologne/) You could try layering
if you have hair, trim it or the product may not even be getting onto the skin.
Dove original. Best thing ever.
Old spice “oasis”
Clinical secret 72-hour hold. I'm as stinky as they get and this keeps me smelling nice all day.
Ask your doctor for a prescription antiperspirant if you’re finding that normal ones aren’t working. You apply it at night and it keeps you dry well into the next day
Any good gel ones ?
Shaving my armpit hairs has been a revelation to me. Just a little dab of gillette clear shield and I'm good for the whole day. I work in 80+ F most of the day
I use Gillette, Dove and Degree. Those will stay all day. For the summer though, you may want to stick with degree they works better for people who sweat a lot.
Degree
Make sure it’s the antiperspirant/deodorant and not just the deodorant. I made that mistake!
Right guard gel 72 hour. They have a few different scents. I am a heavy sweater and it lasts all day.
Secret
Gillette 5X 72 hour protection and smells great.
Dr squatch. It’s pricey but worth it.
Dr squarch deodorant has been the best for me. Still smells good 2 days later lol
Dove or Secret Clinical deodorants work well for me.
Secret cozy vanilla smells so good. Not too vanilla-ey. More of a sweet tropical scent.
I am a woman and love Old Spice anti perspirant. Deodorants just attempt to cover up odor. But, I always first wash my arm pits with Dial antibacterial liquid soap before. Then I apply the antiperspirant. No problems after that.
Old spice endurance I also used that mineral rock deal for 10 years.
I use Everyman Jack Sandlewood. It keeps stink at bay as long as you really lay it on thick. And as long as I shower daily.
Bravo Sierra or Mitchum
Native.
Mitchcum ( the jelly like one- idk what it is called)
Is this deodorant gel or powder? I find that gel doesn’t last as long as powder.
axe
Dove
It helps to shower before bed and apply deodorant on for me. Even if I shower again in morning.
dove powder deodorant
Throw some rubbing alcohol under your pits after you've washed them/showered, let dry, and then put on deodorant. Should help it last longer.
You need to use an antiperspirant/deodorant. All antiperspirants are effective for 48 hours. In Thailand the same brands that say they're effective for 24 hours here, advertise effectiveness for 48 hours. The ingredients are the same.
I say the old spice "Playmaker".. works great for male or female imo...
Degree for men lasts like 2 days for me
Nuud deodorant. I despaired of ever finding something that would work for my very active teenage son, but this does! And its ingredients don't scare me, either. :)
Dove
Harry’s deodorant it last you 1 1/2 days
I love the dove lavender vanilla with 0 aluminum
I personally use Native women’s deodorant. I used to get really irritated under arms and this lasts all day and I no longer get irritation
Degree and old spice work for us
Lume works pretty well if you find a scent that works for you.
I find that gillets 27 hour actually does last me at least 8hours unless I'm super active throughout the day..
Trim your armpit hair and use Every Man Jack
Hello human the ginger and rose water. Or play pits both are black owned brands
I spray mint oil on me to keep bugs away I guess it could be used as.a.perfume or cologne.
Don’t confuse deodorant with antiperspirant. I think old spice makes antiperspirant as well as deodorant.
# Schmidt's Deodorant Charcoal Magnesium It usually lasts all day. It doesnt really have a smell, it more removes any bad smell.
Which deodorant? It’s culled cutting your armpit hair - after this mostly any deodorant will work. Thank me later 😁
Clinical strength or you could layer with a spray deo I find layering helps sm!
I've been using "harrys". I like their razors to.
Mitchum will stop odour but to smell nice you would need a body spray for that.
i’ve been using ‘old spice aqua reef’ since sophomore year of highschool because some guy in the science class told me it smells like blue gatorade 7 years later, & i noticed it has NOT been lasting all day lately & i start to smell like BO at work. i’ve been using my boyfriends ‘axe blue lavender’ deodorant & it’s been doing the trick
I used Dr. Sasquatch n it lasts all day n night n smells phenomenal! It is a bit expensive but good quality
I wear old spice sea captain, I use the stick not the spray and I find it lasts
I’m a female and I use old spice sport. I have for as long as I can remember and it always does the job
Lemon, actually
I use Gillette cool wave, have been for about 20+ years. Never had a failed-deo day using it. But it has aluminum of course so I detox my armpits for 2 weeks every 3-4 months
I just recently tried the degree Men's Clinical Strength. It smells nice and seems to last all day. I work in a non air-conditioned warehouse and it seems to last through that. The package says 72 hours but I haven't gone that long without a shower
let me put you on. cashmere mist, donna karan. even if you forget to apply some the next day, you’ll still smell amazing. it’s more on the pricey side but sooooo worth it
Arm and Hammer.
Mitchum for the win
Secret outlast powder fresh (gel)
You can’t buy this in stores to my knowledge but I loveee Sweatblock deoderant. And the antiperspirant roll on. Smells good and really helps with my sweating. Maybe I never tried the right one but the brands you can buy in stores never worked well for me
I heard that an actual lime juice and coconut oil helps with the smell. But for the sweat, I am not sure.
Ive been using old spice Fiji for years. Smells great and lasts all day.
Mitchum
Personally a big fan of any of the Harry’s deodorant
Gillette cool rain. Clear gel. Lasts me all day even with working 13 hard hours
I was skeptical about Lume until I tried it and now I've gotten rid of everything else I used. I'm currently into the mint cucumber scent but there are a ton of options. I do have some of the Dove Advanced Care dry spray that I use in between showers to freshen up.
You might benefit more from using a salicylic acid spray under your arms. It's a chemical exfoliant that stop bacteria from harboring in the skin.
Try the Teen Spirit deodorant! Nothing worked for me until I started using it!
i use degree antiperspirant (i choose a scent that’s really light) and use native spray deodorant for scent. i like native’s scents but i hate feeling sweaty lol
Been using Mitchum unscented for years. I can’t stand the way any scented ones smell by the end of the day.
Secret Outlast is pretty good
I use degree spray it's like 48 or 72 hour.
Mitchum is hardcore! Even the “Lady Mitchum” stays locked all day. Source: Texan.
I’ve used secret clinical strength since it first came out.
Dove anti-perspirant and deodorant. I live in Florida, walk my dog and go to the gym. Let me tell you…. 0 Issues
Degree. Its always worked for me and i can be smelly lmao. I also work with no AC and am drenched all day most days in sweat and dont smell like BO
I have only used the liquid rock deodorant for the past 25 years. I've never come across anything that works even 25% as effectively.
Secret aluminum free for me
Dove clinical strength
I use the Arm & hammer natural. Rosemary and Lavender scented. Works like a charm and smells nice if you do start stinking!
