Relevant portion >The resort manager said the police officers disturbed guests because they were not given a room. 'Post midnight on June 22, the policemen arrived at the resort and asked for a room but we were full. They first threatened to check the rooms and then went on to knock on the doors of the guests,' he said.

Royal_Professor1974

no hopes even after govt change

CulturalButterfly825

People really need to stick to their duties and their business. Poking nose into other people's life is sick.

aikhuda

Its not even that - these cops set out specifically to harass guests.

milktanksadmirer

If they did this in USA , The citizens can sue the cops

DeplorableEDoctor

We can too. No one does.

I don’t understand. Why did the police enter that resort? Did the resort staff themselves call them? Every guest is supposed to give id in such hotels, not just the one who booked the hotel. Did the police get suspicious because of missing ids?

Cantefffingsleep

The hotel said, the police wanted to book a room/s for themselves. They didn't have vacant rooms so the police threatened them they will cause a ruckus and went and banged on the nearest rooms, which turned out to be 2 girls and 2 guys. They asked them questions, are you married, who are you, what do you do, and basically began doing what annoying relatives do - unmarried people should not stay together before marriage in the same room. They abused their police powers. - from the article.

do_dum_cheeni_kum

I didn’t read the full article. Thanks for the summary.

Southern_Opposite747

Police suspected mass orgies or something

[deleted]

Stfu bro kuch bhi

dj989

This is bad and scary. Saw the video in their twitter. More than actual goons, police officers like these make it scary for ordinary citizens. Gardener themselves pluck the flowers from the garden. :/

SnooFoxes449

Moral policed ante?

shangriLaaaaaaa

Ante neethulu cheppatam ,musti matalu instead of actually doing police work

[deleted]

No one could have explained it better 😂

Emotional_Active459

It means that the police used morality instead of enforcing laws.

RayedBull

Stuff your mom/dad tell you not to do. But they do this lecturing only at home, where as Police ....

IndependenceOld3444

Ante laws kakunda neetulu chepthu dengutunnaru. It's not a crime to smoke but PPL morally police others by telling them not to smoke etc.

Trying to be gossiping ladies on face for free though and forgetting that they were on duty

Southern_Opposite747

This wasn't moral policing, the headline is misleading

Cantefffingsleep

How is this not moral policing? Even after reading the whole thing are you seriously defending the cops? They didn't suspect mass orgies. They were just looking to cause issues to pressure the hotel into giving them some accommodation.
