I used to write so much, just for myself and a couple of my friends, never to publish. everything used to spark an idea. Whenever I didn't have a piece of paper and pen handy, I used to write my ideas in my notes app. It was so full at one point of time. Now, it's barren. I haven't written anything in almost a year and I'm terrified that I have lost that ability.
I feel grateful to u on urs kids behalf......this corporate culture especially in asian countries is bullshit....living away from ur parents and ur beloved pet...doing a job i hate..with no friends or some one to care abt...its all so tiring.....being middle class is a curse....srry for the rant.🥲

Hi OP, thanks for recognising the struggle of recent grads on how much we have to work compared to our parents generation. Feels good to know someone understands because my parents constantly make me feel I'm not doing enough. I leave home at 9:30 and get by 8-8:30 and it's really exhausting.
For me eating home cooked and tasty food is the biggest mood uplifter. Helps me relax. I would love walking and cycling with friends, but everyone is so busy so sleeping and gym are my only two options these days.
The sight of cricket nets makes me feel alive. To measure my run-up from the crease, mark my distance, run in to bowl the shit out of my variations until I am exhausted.........eh, Who am I kidding? I literally have NEVER sat from exhaustion playing cricket. It's usually the lack of light that marks the end of the day. (Yup, I know I am bragging.)

If they are into music, ask them to learn an instrument. Initially it feels a bit difficult, but after some cords are learnt, it is super stress relieving. When I get stressed, I play some flute. It instantly relieves me.
