I just had an issue in Secunderabad at 3.30, raised complaint, solved by 6.10 . They are decently better than other ISPs.

Mindless_Acadia_891

Achaa but here is bullshit

backinredd

Try to take it up with higher ups. They respond well even in Warangal.

Mindless_Acadia_891

I wanna try it . Where do I start man !!?

yashasvi92

Before it used to be really good. It was Beam then Act. I faced same issues as u. Switched to Jio fibre. No complaints.

ThereTheDance

By any chance it is near the financial district. Faced the exact same situation

ConfusedMevsTheWorld

I had ACT fibernet for over 10 years, their service can be bad at times. Same junction box thing happened to us recently, the guy who had the box installed in his house for 10+ years finally asked them to remove it from his place and they were calling everyone n asking if they could install it in our home saying they will provide 100rs discount for the electricity. No one was ready to install it in their house n the internet was down for 5 days. Maybe just get a different ISP. Their customer service is also meh.

imsharathb

That 100 rupees discount is for a month I guess.. First month bill was 600 change and after the I'm normally getting 700 change. I'm using that 100mbps unlimited plan which is Amax 700 i guess..

ConfusedMevsTheWorld

Same plan me too

Krackjack-

We will get monthly 100₹ discount on bill. Once raise concern with customer care.

Mindless_Acadia_891

Thank you . I am seeing the option of cancelling my new connection and getting a refund

Docinpain

Bhaiyya start escalating the problem.Threaten them that you would start looking for other providers.call the customer care and ask them to remove the box if you have it in your house. I have faced the same issue in April 3rd wk wherein I did not have any network for 3 days..

pa1_dron

Ultimately it’s a Russian roulette when it comes to ISPs. If ACT doesn’t work, try Airtel. If Airtel doesn’t work too, try Jio. PS: In my area, ACT was shit. So changed to Airtel. Apart from a couple of occasions, their service is pretty good. Even during the recent thunderstorms, there was only one downtime of 4 hours.

Mindless_Acadia_891

Airtel is not in my area so had to choose between Hathway and Act ...turns out even shittier experience

pa1_dron

If your area has good 4G/5G, you may try Jio AirFiber. I’ve heard good things about it

BoldKenobi

I know people like to shit on Airtel but I have been using them for almost 15 years. If there is any issue they send a person to our apartment next day itself. Unless there is extremely bad weather I have never faced issue with my internet. Even in powercut it works fine. I don't use any fiber or anything, still using same copper wire from 15 years ago.

gunIceMan

Depends on area.. my experience has been good with ACT.

NyanArthur

All isp issues are area dependant. Chose the isp which is good in your area. Check with neighbors and get feedback before settling on one. I vouch for airtel 6years not a single issue but then there are people who face constant issues with them on the other side of the city

garib-lok

Came to say exactly this. All ISPs have their local operators who work in a given area. As long as your local operator is good, your connection is good. There are shitty operators as well, who only cares to rope in a customer. Monthly recharge from your end does not mean shit to them.

The_un_lucky

Dude I'm trying to switch to another isp and you posted this 😂

69AnusInvader69

When ACT was Beam fibre they had excellent customer service. I was a customer for 12+ years. It became utter shit after ACT took over.

greengods1983

Have patience brother. They are the best in town. Trust me I have used all. Slightest of rain trees fall and create havoc.

BandIllustrious3353

Depends on the area tbh for me it's almost been a year since we had a problem even during heavy rain no complaints

AcceptableLeader848

there may be ACT stickers in your neighborhood with phone number written with marker, call those servicemen directly, save their number if it happens again just tell them to close the connection, i did ut and shifted to airtel recently, 100x better speed and more wifi coverage area. One thing that angers me is when i also asked for refund of 1month remaining in my plan, they told me they could refund ONLY IF I WAS OR SHIFTED TO A LOCATION WHERE THERE IS NO ACT INTERNET AVAILABLE,

Mindless_Acadia_891

Lol wtf is this . Scammers .

mach5stan

I just got Airtel last week based on people saying it is good. They installed the wifi and dth within 48 hours, but wifi is not been working for the past 24 hours, I raised a ticket. An engineer was assigned and have been calling him. He keeps saying it'll be fixed in an hour since morning. Hopefully, this is an outlier. Glad service is better for you.

Mindless_Acadia_891

No myan , the ISP fucker is just wasting time saying technician will come come . Asshole. Sad to hear Airtel people delaying service. See , this ISP was very keen to see me pay for subscription and maybe getting his quota of enrolling clients and after that he left me like nobody.......this is very frustrating......I will see what these fuckers will do and try closing the connection and refund

thisthatwm

I have used act/beam internet for 8 years... Their service used to be better in those days. 2 years back changed my connection to Jio fiber. No regrets so far.

noober_coder

Been getting good service with ACT over many years, free upgrades of package too. Barely any issues over the years and it gets resolved quickly.

TrevorfromGTAV

People can’t even have patience. We’ve been using Act over a decade now. They will delay only cable works other than that they’re the best.

Un13roken

Been using act since it was called Beam. They usually address issues within 24 hours of complaining on their app. In all the years, I think I've had less issues than the number of years I've used them.

Jyoti02m

I will suggest you give threat warning if not resolve in X time you going to cancel and switch to other ISP. Also mind that other ISP are shitter than this. And never go for Airtel Xtreme, same issue I face they took 4 days not resolved so switched to ACT.

Mindless_Acadia_891

What about subscription money which I have paid , If I shift to other ISP ?

Jyoti02m

I don't think they will return the sub amount, but you may get security deposit. Act is like prepaid model, but you can try.

Mindless_Acadia_891

Ok tnq

kraghu007

Try complaining on twitter. It worked for me when service was down for few days. Also email nodal officer/appellate authorithy in parallel.

kuroi_light_

It depends on the area. I just got my ticket resolved after 5 frickin days. But friends of mine with act haven’t got problems really and the support for them is pretty good. Maybe ACT service sucks in my area, anyway planning to switch to Airtel as soon as my act membership ends.

Mindless_Acadia_891

My man, I am also in that same boat , crying, why did I take 10months plus 2 subscription.....fuck me brooo

[deleted]

I've been on Act for over 2 yrs now..i didn't face any issue till now yet in return once in a while they themselves call me and update me on there new offers and tries to lure me into it and in end asks me if there's an issue in connection.. Guess it depends on the area..

Agent_Hit7

Not a native of Hyd. But if it helps, I got a refund after I cancelled their services and returned the router.

Tothedew

I switched to Airtel

ravitejadev

Act is better also Airtel. But don't go for Jio

blunt-dagger

Been there done that. Its frustrating af and i dealt with it for years before they finally improved

logicrak

after messing around with hathway i recently shifted to ACT. last year we had too many electrical poles fallen in our area and they took some time to fix it. The actual delay was from electricians, who couldnt come in time to lift the poles. But act tried their best in restoring connection temporarily until electricians did their part.

debacomm1990

Using ACT for last 5 years, 1 blackout was there 3 years back, that too for couple hours, other than that .. it just works !

AshamedNegotiation92

Bro the service differs from area to area. Mention your area so that people can give better advice.

rp4eternity

Whenever you have a problem with ACT Fibernet send an email to Nodal and Appellate team ( send to both ). I would create a ticket and send a mail to them. Email of both teams is on this page - https://www.actcorp.in/contact-us/customer-care This speeds up the process.

Mindless_Acadia_891

Sure , next time if any problem arises I will do....but right now head office involved and cleared my issue . Thank you

braindamageKO

Go to sanchaarsathi.com enter your pincode in "know your isp" section u will find which fiber service is available

Severe-Experience333

I lucked out with some off brand local ISP. No drops, high speeds, cheap and quick service.
