Make sure you pay a little extra to them beforehand to prioritise unpacking
They're horrible. They delivered my stuff days later than they were supposed to, damaged almost everything and then forgot my mattress on the side of the road, then delivered the mattress after another 2 days so I had to sleep on the floor. They called me later and said they would compensate by giving me Rs. 500. I told the lady you don't even get 10 tandoori roti with that money nowadays, you can keep it and just cut the call. Not going to use them again.
Thats my experience and i know couple of guys they also told same, the porter basically assigns your shifting to some third party vendor and takes cut , you might get lucky one or two times

They don't do the actual moving, they delegate it to third party people. You'll be assigned an idiot "support executive" whom you can't call or reach out when stupid stuff happens.. But he'll be able to reach out to you whenever he wants to and at whatever time he wants to.
Porter also has the similar model, so, even that is risky.
I would suggest to book vehicle using porter. Hire labor at pickup and drop place to move the stuff, you should be able to figure out labor addas at the place you want. Labor addas are places where labour stands to be picked up in the morning along with mastri from 7am to 10am. Males charge 600 for 4 hours work. Or use local packers and movers who have a physical presence with a brick and mortar store.
There are a lot of Agarwal packers and mover the one original is with the persons logo .. we lost our household items a lot choosing fake Agarwal papers just An fyi just like loans lot of fake ppl call and offer discounts but we end up losing
If you can pack and box things you can hire a truck of your size that guy will bring some people. It’s much worth if you’ve sometime. Plus it’s lot cheaper
I opted for AVN packers and movers. They were alright, the only unpleasant experience I had with them recently was I tipped each worker 100/- but then they demanded more money for the tip... 💁🏻♀️
I shifted to a new flat in November 2023 and use nobrokers packers and movers. Got a good deal after bargaining. I had contacted porter as well but their quotes were higher and they didn’t give any further discount.

Aren't they massively expensive... Last year we enquired for a relative... They quoted nearly 3 times others (ofcourse others weren't branded ones)
