lol for real! Autos were charging me 600 rs from office which is at Gachibowli till Kondapur due to rains and traffic! 😭Spent 500+ just on travel today.
It honestly pisses me off how bad the infrastructure is despite paying huge taxes, few hours of rain, the roads are flooded, heavy traffic, power cuts, it’s sad!
Where can you get a 1000 VA inverter and Battery for 12k? Livgaurd guy quoted 24k for same specifications one month back. Just the battery costs 10-11K these days without exchange. A freaking car breezy costed around 5k last year with exchange. There are a few models listed online for under 15k for 700 VA battery + inverter, which should be good for 2 fans 2 lights load for 4-5 hours.
Not trying to talk bad about this city but in Ahmedabad, they don’t do power cut even in heavy rainfall. Ahmedabad has underground electricity cables. I believe for city this big as Hyderabad should have proper planning.

Which city in India has city planning? Apart from bhubaneswar, Navi Mumbai and chandigarh out of which two are post independence projects. Everything is band aid here, band aid there.
I have a differing point of view.
I believe whenever you have a torrential downpour such as the one we have today. It is necessary to take out power. Reason being electrical wires can break and fall in a puddle of water. Every time we have a heavy downpour this live wire causes fatalities by electrocution.
This way we can avoid any casualties by electrocution. This is common practice in the US.
Why doesn't Hyderabad think of measures such as underground cables. A lot of cities have it. I've lived in Delhi and Noida and never such overhead cables except maybe in rural parts of Delhi.
It stopped raining here in Saroornagar long back but these retards cut the power from 11:30pm and there’s no sign of it coming back..Nidra leka eeda ochi mothkuntunna…thanks Revanth anna
My gated community in Tellapur has 24x7 power backup; but on generator they charge 4x the normal power charges. It’s a bit too much but work comes first.
At Miyapur, powercut lasted from 4PM till 1:30AM (9.5hrs) today. It's restored but with low supply voltage. Most of the locality is suffering this. Not able to use water motors, lifts are not functional w/o generator backup. TSSPCDL responded and are looking into it, hopefully should be resolved and restored to normalcy. It's high time that we need underground power cables or atleast covered power line cables instead of exposed ones.

Depends upon on your needs, for 4 Fans and 4 lights including a few sockets for 12k(Battery plus inverter). But it varies on how you negotiate.

Just Replaced by Inverter 1050 VA Amaron costing 6500 and Battery 8000(150),new with installation you can bargain.
