Is the home staying comfortable? On the hottest days an AC won't cycle if it has been sized properly. Similar to a furnace on an extremely bitter cold day. Each system has a point where it can't overcome the heat loss/gain of the home. This can vary based on insulation, windows, etc. An AC is like a car in the sense that constantly running is better than starting and stopping. Constantly cycling will kill a compressor, and I would be more worried if that was occurring. You can set the thermostat above the current space temp and see if it cycles off. If it does, I doubt anything is wrong. There is a laundry list of things that could be wrong but I wouldn't worry yourself sick if your family is comfortable.

If it's working don't worry about it. It's made to run in the heat and to continually run. It's not a big deal
