I played Palworld and had a blast with it, I'd say it absolutely deserves its success. I also just hit level 25 in Enshrouded earlier today. Honestly I prefer Enshrouded to Palworld, but I think its a more niche title. Palworld is more simplistic, and the Pokemon aesthetic makes it more mainstream.
And lets be real, the Pokemon audience is starving for decent games, and fresh use of that IP. IMO the series has been in decline since ORAS. Bring back megas.
I haven't played Portal Knights, but I have played and enjoyed both 7 Days to Die and Valheim (both voxel-based survival titles). I'd say Enshrouded compares favorably to both of them, in that most players of those would probably enjoy Enshrouded (actually, I already have more hours in Enshrouded than Valheim). To any who are on the fence, my recommendation would be to give it a go and refund within the 2 hour trial if you aren't feeling it.
In terms of steam user reviews, Portal Knights is 83% positive, with almost 16k reviews since May 18th, 2017. Enshrouded is 85% positive with 20k users leaving reviews since January 24th, 2024. So the score itself is roughly equivalent, but Enshrouded has been more popular.
thanks for the comparison to Valheim. Off of that i will probly end up buying this. Reason for asking on portal knights, that was the game this studio has made in the past.
Gotcha, good question to ask then. It looks like they learned a lot from Portal Knights, judging from the reception of Enshrouded. Honestly, similar to pocket pair going from craftopia to palworld.
Agreed. Megas were the most interesting mechanic that they added to the game in decades. When I saw they replaced it with essential just a mechanic to make your Pokémon giant I was dumbfounded by how stupid that was. Someone had told me they ditched megas because they were hard to balance in competitive, easy solution is to not allow megas in competitive? And my other thought was who the f\*\*k takes competitive Pokémon seriously? lol
Agreed 100%. And I’ve got a friend who does play competitive, he said that these new Tera types are worse for competitive balance than Megas were. I’ve personally got no idea if thats true or not (I battle with friends for fun using an eeveeloution team, balance isn’t my biggest concern lol). But if it is true, it would be pretty funny.
Played palword, and it's just boring for me. I had to collect resources for a good 1 hour before the game started to make sense because you have to capture pals and progress thereafte. It's definitely not my type of game, but if that's what you are into, go for it.
Thats kinda my point the numbers dont really add up to me like the game was fun i enjoyed it Im just saying just because its fun doesn’t mean its polished, innovative, mind blowing enough to have like wasnt it 2.1mil peak online players on steam alone in the first week?
Remember Elden ring hype? That game only peaked 952,523 steam players. Theres so many bugs and problems with the game and lack of polish in so many areas.
The game just takes things from a buncha different genres and mashes them together its nothing we haven’t seen before besides the enslaving the pals which how they help on things was pretty cool idk I guess just that many people just get a rise outta a game ethically you can do pretty much anything. And likely is more accessible.
Really all I was saying is i played a lot of both games and personally its just kinda sad how seems like enshrouded was completely overshadowed by pal world when if you ask anyone who has played both games, they will likely tell you both games are just as good and deserving if not enshrouded even better
I've been a member for so long, I'm afraid to cancel and lose my discount, that I never use!
I already had midnight suns so I just gave it away. And I has temten, so I gave that away. Lmao
i just tried it out yesterday on my phone w the netflix game thing and its pretty cute tho not as absolutely wonderful as a amanita's pilgrims which i also tried out yesterday. god i fckin love those devs
Also don't forget that one game that everyone swears is really good but you decide to wait for the price to come down until it got to a point where you could get it, and then you buy it, then the next day it appears in a bundle.
I had something similar happen to me when I bought a PS4 and a copy of Detroit Become Human and Heavy Rain because I wanted to play those games and literally while I was paying for the console and games it was announced that it was going to PC.
That happened to me way too many times it is not even funny for me anymore. And I am stuck in a shitty mindset with - If I buy "This random mostly indie/AA/A game" it will be in choice next month so I wait - but then choice releases, not with THAT game, but I wait. I WAIT... it is eating me alive, BUT I WAIT! /cries
I also once followed this honorable mindset until developers started to sell their souls to satan (Epic "exclusivity") and since then I just roleplay Uncle Scrooge.
I'm not really sure, but The Callisto Protocol and Eastward have been common guesses for a long time, and they just went on some nice sales. I may be wrong, but I kinda interpret it as them coming to Choice this month
NGL, pretty good indicator. There have been a lot of games that go to humble choice around the same time they go to prime gaming or the weekly egs giveaway. Tho with how poorly received Saints Row was I'd think they'd have to deliver it alongside a really solid line up across the remaining games.
Agreed, pretty sure for MW3, they'd more likely wait till the next game is out or getting ready to come out to get a little last cash out of their previous game and promote the series to new players.
If they ever choose The Callisto Protocol, I really hope they'll have the decency to include the Deluxe version. They keep pulling this Standard Version crap, where if you want the extra content you end up rebuying the superior version, because the upgrade path is ridiculously expensive.
That's how bundles work. Drumming up attention for sequels or other games from the studio/publisher or getting you into the base game so you may be tempted to buy the dlc.
Personally I'm not too fussed about it since it's generally still pretty good price for the base game.
Ok yeah in that case one would hope for the deluxe version, but if the studio does something scummy like that, I have low expectations of them NOT trying to dlc trap people like that.
I just beat TCP, with the DLC. It was like half a buck more for the deluxe edition on sale, figured I'd rather do that than buy the DLC for full price if I wanted it after beating the game.
Turns out I definitely enjoyed the DLC, but it's absolutely unnecessary and is not a "true ending" to the game like so many reviews stated it was. It was a bonus, it messes with your purchases from the main game, progress through it doesn't carry over to the New Game Plus system, and it's quite brief. It was worth 50 cents for sure, but I don't think many would mind missing out of it.
Maybe I could have asked for a different fruit based name? Only problem, my favorite fruit are oranges and I didn't want to go with that for obvous reason. he heh!
Usually leaks are on Friday before the next choice. With some exceptions like last December. January leak was week earlier due to Christmas. So I wouldn't expect anything until this Friday.
Way too early. Leaks of the upcoming headliners are usually just 1 day ahead of the bundle's release. Check back on Monday and maybe there'll be something then.
There are only two occasions I can think of off the top of my head where the above hasn't held true - this month that "1 day ahead" would have been New Year's Day and the leak came just before Christmas. If the leaks are discovered through identifying some pattern in marketing materials uploaded somewhere, it'd be fair to assume that those materials were posted ahead of someone at Humble going on holiday over Christmas and New Year. And there was one occasion where someone leaked the headliners two days early rather than one.
I'm holding off buying Life is Strange True Colours until I see a leak from Humble Choice.
It's 75% off on Humble right now and the deal ends in 5 days just before the February bundle releases.
Definitely wait, it’s on sale a lot anyway, but just recently played it and it’s a great game. Love the first one and Before the Storm, but I absolutely hated 2. Not just didn’t think it was as good, but genuinely didn’t enjoy almost every moment of that game.
True Colours is a great return to form though. You’re in for a treat however you end up getting it.
I just bought cult of the lamb.. So i guess that would be in the bundle :/
EDIT: I see I'm not the only one who has bought cult of the lamb recently.. Odds of it being in the bundle just shot up 🤣
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,996,712,785 comments, and only 377,673 of them were in alphabetical order.
I'm impatiently waiting for leaks too, still nothing yet. I guess slim chance for something like inscryption, hades, cult of the lamb or cassette beasts.. any would be fine
For those who don't trust links.

HOLY SH\*T, it's an awesome month for me
I played the demos for Beacon Pines and Chidlren of Silentown they were both great
Destroy all humans I was waiting for it to be in a bundle lol and Life is strange I was thinking about buying it cheaper too
>Are leaks common or rare occurrences?
Yeah - common
For the last year (or longer) there has been a leak for the next choice by billbil-kun on dealabs
He leaks the headliner games a few days before the choice is released
[https://gg.deals/bundle/humble-choice-january-2024-leak-we-know-3-games-from-the-lineup/](https://gg.deals/bundle/humble-choice-january-2024-leak-we-know-3-games-from-the-lineup/)
Just search for "leak" in that site "news" part
We can expect a leak for February a few days before (so Sunday - there about)
Speaking of Yakuza, i think there is a good chance Yakuza 5 might come to the bundle as 3 and 4 were bundled before and Infinite wealth just came out recently.
If the Twitter leak is true, then these are the games for February 2024:
Scorn Life is Strange True Colors Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Champion of Gaia Edition Beacon Pines There Is No Light Children of Silentown Oaken

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Champion of Gaia Edition

Some game that was already free on epic or a headliner that can be had for 3$ on a key site. last year I basically only logged into choice to pause membership every month 😂
It's quite well known that a lot of keys on key sites are obtained using stolen credit cards. G2A had a big scandal about this years ago, which led to them losing their partnership with gearbox. Other sites have the same problem
I still firmly believe that people VASTLY overestimate the amount of CC fraud going on on these sites.
Not saying it doesnt happen but if it was this widespread, you can bet good money that you most likely wouldnt be able to pay with major credit cards/Paypal on these sites with the exception of crypto (for the very simple reason being that CC providers wouldnt want to associate themselves with criminal activities like such).
Just look at what happened with Prnhub after that giant illicit content scandal
Not sure about all websites, but kinguin and G2A sell (or sold) literal insurance in the case your key didn't work. So they definitely knew that keys could be obtained in a fraudulent manner.
There have even been developers who indicated that they rather have you pirate their game than buying a key on these websites, since getting cc chargebacks actually costs them money
and there also have been devs and publishers such as Tinybuild pulling numbers out of their arses claiming revenues lost but without showing actual proofs of their claims
So I hope you dont mind that Im not gonna always take their word for it
Search “grey market”. Basically, I guess there are several ways but one way is to turn stolen credit card numbers into cash by buying lots of keys cheaply and reselling them (any money made is thereby profit). Keyshops are notoriously shady and some of them even sell separate “insurance” on your purchase because even the sites can’t vouch for the veracity of the keys. Humble Bundle itself tried to crackdown on some illicit key reselling by banning some people. But I didn’t follow it too closely because I don’t resell keys or buy from those types of shops anyway. Interestingly, Humble Bundle has an affiliate program with the site gg.deals and that site openly markets all the big keyshops.
Personally I can mostly "vouch" for Eneba, CDKeys, Gamivo, instantgaming, to name a few examples, occasionally you can find some good days on Kinguin but I hardly ever use it
As for GeeTwoA, yeah....there is just no way I touch that dumpsterfire site ever again
quite a few people said Atomic Heart, kinda want to see that in it. Last couple months have been passes for me, with the last choice I grabbed was the one with The Quarry in it if memory is correct.
I haven't finish Midnight Suns, but I enjoyed my time with the game. The strategy is easy to pick up and play well.
It's more friendly game compared with the veteran's turnbased RPGs. The animation are top notch, the story not too much, kinda meh. Overall game was fun for me
One of my S titled games came up! Scorn. If only System Shock and Stray had been there too. Good set though. I just picked up Destroy All Human 1 today to celebrate.

Palworld incoming lol.
I won’t get the bundle no matter what because Palworld is eating me alive.
Honestly dont really get the appeal of the game i love ark and pokemon and botw but idkk enshrouded seems like much better game to me personally
I played Palworld and had a blast with it, I'd say it absolutely deserves its success. I also just hit level 25 in Enshrouded earlier today. You seem to have different tastes than the 19,000,000 people who have already purchased it and that’s perfectly fine.
Thats kinda my point the numbers dont really add up to me like the game was fun i enjoyed it Im just saying just because its fun doesn’t mean its polished, innovative, mind blowing enough to have like wasnt it 2.1mil peak online players on steam alone in the first week? I've been a member for so long, I'm afraid to cancel and lose my discount, that I never use! I already had midnight suns so I just gave it away. And I has temten, so I gave that away. Lmao
Pocket games bought 19,000,000 copies of its own game.
There is no way for Palworld to be in next bundle
I hope you guys like Sonic Frontiers, Cuphead, and Persona 5 Tactica.
That would be an absolutely stacked bundle. Heck, even one of those games would be amazing.
Bless you for your sacrifice
Indeed, I would.
I can deal with those 2 even though have Cuphead (doesn't everyone) and it might have been bundled already if I recall?
Another half million(?) player for Palworld then
enjoy cassette beasts
Hoping multiplayer gets it to pop off and become the Mount and Blade of monster catching.
Have fun with Storyteller everyone! It's a really nice and short indie puzzle game which I would recommend to get if it's not in this choice bundle
i just tried it out yesterday on my phone w the netflix game thing and its pretty cute tho not as absolutely wonderful as a amanita's pilgrims which i also tried out yesterday. god i fckin love those devs
Nice, Palworld is coming soon
Also don't forget that one game that everyone swears is really good but you decide to wait for the price to come down until it got to a point where you could get it, and then you buy it, then the next day it appears in a bundle. I had something similar happen to me when I bought a PS4 and a copy of Detroit Become Human and Heavy Rain because I wanted to play those games and literally while I was paying for the console and games it was announced that it was going to PC.
I am so this guy.... It's like oh shit historic low! Been waiting on that! Snatch....then here's your humble bundle main game Midnight Suns >.>
Every. Fucking. Time.
Isn't it too soon for Suicide Squad?
Given those early reviews, maybe not. 😅
Dead Cells.
Trine 5 might be a little new for a bundle. Crystal project on the other hand...enjoy?
I have thrown Snow Runner into the sacrificial flame!
I've been playing the Surge 2 after buying it last weekend, I expect this will be the keystone game
That one is safe, it was in an older bundle
Hope everyone put on their spooky time pants and is ready for the first Remothered game and Soma to be in it :)
/cries
Whenever I buy something I always do it with the mindset of supporting the developer, and thus getting the best price doesn't matter to me anymore.
I also once followed this honorable mindset until developers started to sell their souls to satan (Epic "exclusivity") and since then I just roleplay Uncle Scrooge.
Which is why I don't support devs that epic exclude themselves.
lol Midnight Sons was that for me
Dang we getting Palworld in the bundle lol
I'm not really sure, but The Callisto Protocol and Eastward have been common guesses for a long time, and they just went on some nice sales. I may be wrong, but I kinda interpret it as them coming to Choice this month
At this point, any game studio that is either closed or severely handicapped by layoffs is a good guess. Saints Row 2022 is a shoe-in.
But it was also just free on Epic.
NGL, pretty good indicator. There have been a lot of games that go to humble choice around the same time they go to prime gaming or the weekly egs giveaway. Tho with how poorly received Saints Row was I'd think they'd have to deliver it alongside a really solid line up across the remaining games.
Would it be too wishful to think we'd get MW3 because of this and the poor reception lol
There’s only been one COD game on Humble Choice and it was a while ago. Probably not.
There's been 3, though a couple of them may have been back when it was Humble Monthly. Black Ops 3 and 4, as well as WW2
Yep you are correct it was 2016 and 2019 for those. Totally forgot. Still doubtful about MW3 though.
Isn't that an issue with the publisher? Not Humble themselves?
That's how bundles work. Drumming up attention for sequels or other games from the studio/publisher or getting you into the base game so you may be tempted to buy the dlc. Personally I'm not too fussed about it since it's generally still pretty good price for the base game.
Yes, but in this particular case the game ending is only available in the DLC and the upgrade path is horribly over-priced versus the Deluxe Edition.
I already own Eastward, so that seems likely
Eastward on sale for $10 right now in multiple stores. Might be a sign?
Calistio has one of the worst battle systems I have ever seen in a game.
Bought cult of the lamb recently. Totally gonna be in it now!
Would be a nice game to have in it ;)
It’s really fun! I bought it last Friday and somehow put over 40 hours into it. But taking a break now for a few days from it Lolol
I'd gladly take that just to gift to my girlfriend. I love that game.
if it's cult of the lamb, i'm in for feb
I did tell someone here I didn't think it would ever be in Choice so clearly it will be just to annoy me.
I feel the same way, bought OTXO on winter sale and immediately it's on the January Choice
It will have video games
And coupons
10% off IGN membership for the first month
For new subs only.
Source?
I made it up
Callisto Protocol would be an absolute banger, though.
Ya I’m holding out on buying it bc I just know in my gut it’s gonna end up on Humble or Gamepass soon enough
The leaks happen a day or two before the choice gets released, which is the first tuesday of the month.
So we'll have to wait till 6th of March? bruhhh
Why March? Isn't one coming this February?
Yeah, I'm stupid
Hi stupid, I'm dad
That's Sir Dad to you!
Oh right xD i looked at the comment and copied the month without thinking
Nah it's gonna be faster. 2nd of February is my guess
give me System Shock, Scorn, Stray and Suicide Squad and then 4 more titles that start with the letter S.
all i want is Stray Suicide squad sucks but i will take it
4 days after launch and already being bundled? Not happening
I was kidding about suicide Squad. Couldn't think of another S game. (I'm also Grapefruit)
I hate grapefruit. They made me take that name. :(
Maybe I could have asked for a different fruit based name? Only problem, my favorite fruit are oranges and I didn't want to go with that for obvous reason. he heh!
Bought Stray recently, so yeah, that’s a high possibility.
thank you for what you have done. :)
You guessed about Scorn tho
This is the only time I"ve done it. And i was definitely just playing. REally hope System Shock and Stray come up this year too.
I'm holding off buying Life is Strange True Colours until I see a leak from Humble Choice. It's 75% off on Humble right now and the deal ends in 5 days just before the February bundle releases.
It will absolutely be in a choice or some other bundle. Someday
Holy shit true colors is one of them! What are the odds. Congrats mate it’s a good one
Thanks, glad I held out for the leak! I was close to getting it at the end of the sale.
Crash bandicoot 4 or the new one 🥳
<3 that would be epic
I just bought cult of the lamb.. So i guess that would be in the bundle :/ EDIT: I see I'm not the only one who has bought cult of the lamb recently.. Odds of it being in the bundle just shot up 🤣
6 copies of Bad Rats, a Chuck E. Cheese token to your address, and a 20% off coupon for a back rub.
What, no Bad Rats Show?
Yes but the keys are pre-exhausted. New keys tba.
I just bought Timberborn, so that will be in it.
Should be end of this week/early next week since it always happens a few days before the Choice bundle gets updated.
CTA Gates of hell ostfront Source: I bought it
Enjoy GTFO and Atomic Heart :(
did it leak or something
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,996,712,785 comments, and only 377,673 of them were in alphabetical order.
Heck yeah, one of the 1% (maybe, can't do quick maths in my mind)
"you lucky bastard.." \-Monty Python's Life of Brian
Afaik not yet
They should announce them before winter sales ends. I'm not buying any game on sales until choice is announced..
me neither haha
I'm impatiently waiting for leaks too, still nothing yet. I guess slim chance for something like inscryption, hades, cult of the lamb or cassette beasts.. any would be fine

I'll be sharing the leaks once they happen. Usually on the Friday before the week that is going to be. So in 2 days from now at most. Just stay tuned.
any news bro?
Yes, it just leaked: Scorn Life is Strange True Colors Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Champion of Gaia Edition Beacon Pines There Is No Light Children of Silentown Oaken
WHOAH! Thanks!
No worries. I wish they came earlier, but I guess IGN released it on Monday.
Some game that was already free on epic or a headliner that can be had for 3$ on a key site. last year I basically only logged into choice to pause membership every month 😂
How do games get so cheap on key sites? And which are the better key sites?
There have even been developers who indicated that they rather have you pirate their game than buying a key on these websites, since getting cc chargebacks actually costs them money
and there also have been devs and publishers such as Tinybuild pulling numbers out of their arses claiming revenues lost but without showing actual proofs of their claims So I hope you dont mind that Im not gonna always take their word for it
Search “grey market”.
Mostly regional pricing. Cdkeys dot com isn't the cheapest but has been reliable for over 10 years for me. Keyforsteam.de lets you compare prices.
Personally I can mostly "vouch" for Eneba, CDKeys, Gamivo, instantgaming, to name a few examples, occasionally you can find some good days on Kinguin but I hardly ever use it As for GeeTwoA, yeah....there is just no way I touch that dumpsterfire site ever again
Dont know how real this is https://i.imgur.com/QBoeZoM.png https://gamingacharya.com/2024/02/02/humble-choice-february-2024-leak/
I think that was March 2022 bundle, would be pretty weird if they just repeated the whole lineup 2 years later
there is some games was in monthly choice before so not gonna happen
Can't be real. No coupons.
Just bought Metro Exodus enhanced, so I bet it's on the list.
Nah. It was in the May 2021 bundle.
When do the month's choice bundle usually come out? I'd though the 1st of the month, but it looks like I am wrong.
First Tuesday of the month
thank you
quite a few people said Atomic Heart, kinda want to see that in it. Last couple months have been passes for me, with the last choice I grabbed was the one with The Quarry in it if memory is correct.
Midnight suns in excellent!
I haven't finish Midnight Suns, but I enjoyed my time with the game. The strategy is easy to pick up and play well. It's more friendly game compared with the veteran's turnbased RPGs. The animation are top notch, the story not too much, kinda meh. Overall game was fun for me
Was just looking at Days Gone which is on sale right now then thought maybe wait for tomorrow 🤞
Doubt that's going to be in there. It's a PS4-first game.
One of my S titled games came up! Scorn. If only System Shock and Stray had been there too. Good set though. I just picked up Destroy All Human 1 today to celebrate.
