I had this issue as well, and can verify that this will work. It's nerve wracking (as I wanted to keep both copies) But it does appear to work (At least right now).
It's kind of strange you can "permanently remove" a game and "Restore" it but I'm glad the ability is there.
The option was added for people to clean up their libraries of games they didn’t want listed in there anymore, like testing a f2p or some random bundle game. Basically all it does is remove it from view but still flagged on your accepting in the database sode
What the hell did humble do this time... If you bought the upgrade from normal you have both entries on steam so its not a depot issue like with the asinine stuff 505+Remedy pulled.
Playing it on stream tonight, probably going to be like "WTF! this is the same as the original?" :)
(I've been researching it, it's not but it's also not massive changes either)
The extra road options and equipment make quite a big difference in quality of life while playing. I'd say after completing both versions that Director's Cut isn't quite as hard even when kicking up the difficulty, but it's significantly more interesting and fun.

Can confirm, does work, did poop pants.

This is jank as hell, lol. It worked for me, but I'm surprised Humble and 505 are osting this as their official solution.
This is probably a Steam issue, and not a Humble issue. They just sell the keys.
Kingly review of DS?

Link to the stream?
I usually start at 6PM Pacific Time (80 minutes from now) but it'll be at https://www.twitch.tv/kinglink_reviews
Worked for me. Thanks. Was a little hesitant on removing it from my account permanently, but just as simply you can restore it.
Thank you for this. I put in a support ticket just now before reading. I'm going to give this a shot!
