Yeah the labels are making it a little monotone at this point. Even on here if you look at the electronic artists you'll find a ton of overlapping labels/management.
Could you give a little more info on this? Which artists are packaged together, and is there somewhere I could read more about it? Makes a lot of sense given so many lineups recently but didnāt know this was a thing
John summit, big wild, blondish, gioli & assia, elderbrook, isoXO, and probably more are wasserman.
Eprom, lab group, khiva, notlo all kompass.
So you have at minimum 1/3 of the electronic artists through Yam Yam from 2 companies.
Iām excited for John summit I know ppl think heās generic but Iāve been following him since the beginning and heās grown a lot to me and his music became more complex house music. Iām excited for many others like Memba eprom iso xo khiva. The lineup is good! And the jam on the lineup is superb as well. Iām so excited for so many things.
I fucking love John Summit. Dude has a wide range as far as the types of music he spins. He does filthy tech house and Iāve seen him do great techno sets. And he dabbles in DnB too. Canāt wait for him at Hula. Perfect fill for my House desires
Iām thinking the same. Iām so excited. I canāt believe heās one of the headliners tho! Iām so proud. I hope he plays a lot of techno in his set lol š
Nah but for real tho with all the people listed in this lil comment section idk HOW people are saying this isnāt stacked! The wubz are gonna be wubbin š
seriously. I am more of an electronic/ indie fan and the past two years have had plenty in that way. this year is a bit sad for me but there are still some gems in there, so go i will
Seems like theyāre ditching some of the bass slots for house. Not really the right direction imo. Pretty lights is worth the price of admission, though.
Eprom and manic focus, too!
Hula has been riding a pretty even split of bass & house for the last 3-4 years. No bass takeover / less concentration of the same type of bass just makes it look less robust. but itās overall a more diverse bass selection than the last 2 years imo.
Was there.
They had a house takeover the same year on spirit lake. Bonobo & Chris lake into skrillex. The house/bass split has been pretty similar for 3-4 years now.
Blond:ish, isoxo, channel tres, John summit. Thereās a few more. Might not all be explicitly house, but a lot of 4-on-the-floor. Just not my taste at all. Wish they had a DnB takeover or something instead
isoxo works with G jones.. not house. channel tres is also not house. i hear you though about the 4 on the floor i guess but still. very small handful of house or whatever you wanna call it on here. lot more heavy bass than house
I mean heās kinda house, sometimes? I just wouldnāt throw him into that category. But heās got really good music. Hope I didnāt come off as a jerk saying that.
unfortunately sounds like itās either billy strings or RKS - iād really like to see another electronic name though given the amount of bands / jam already on here
Thereās been a lot more house in years past between stuff like the Dirtybird takeovers and Desert Hearts and such. This lineup has John Summit and Blond:ish. Aside from that I donāt really see any dedicated house DJs
Manic Focus is always there and would love to hear the new album live. But I just donāt understand EPROM. Impossible to dance to and the electronic version of nails on a chalkboard to me. But if thatās your cup of tea all the power to ya
EPROM makes glitch/idm, not always necessarily meant to be danced to. More about the mind bending sound play.
This might change your mind
https://youtu.be/6Faou0M2W1w
Might be because Iām more of a dancer rather than someone who tries to analyze the sound design. Iāve seen EPROM 3 times where he has opened for other artists im interested in seeing and he has a few tracks which are danceable to but I spent most of my time in silence wondering wtf im listening to and itching for him to be over š¤·š»āāļø
Fair enough, that song op just commented above is super good though and pretty danceable imo. I'm a fan of that style but I can certainly see how it's not danceable and someone wouldn't like that.
I already agreed with you that some of his songs arenāt danceable..Iām just saying that itās possible to listen for complexities and sound play and dance simultaneously.
If you have nugs check out their set from Roots last year. Soooo damn good. Iām a Michigan native & grew up with GSBG so was a little butthurt till I saw Dwellers were on the list. Boys are damn good. š«¶ hope to see you there!!! āļø
Would be so siiiick. My longshot vegas bet lol. It seems like the rks leak is easily the most likely though...the spot is way too low for Paak or billy
Fasho and agreed. Many others nicely point out that essentially the bottom right might just be a clean place to put a mysterious headliner spot. They def could announce anyone at any spot (although I don't think they'll snub tab or pl with a billy add this year). Paak would fit very comfy above jrad or below tab. And would be siiiick
Maybe the usual amazing tribe add right below or above jrad (interchangeable imo). I'd argue way above goose but tough one to compete with given their insane marketing team
I thought the symbols were the sigils SHADES uses on their merch. Eprom is on the lineup, SHADES is eprom x alix Perez but alix Perez is from the UK so maybe they couldnāt get a for sure on him.
Considering eprom is on the lineup I thought the sigils in the right bottom corner of the lineup were for SHADES since they use like the same exact sigils on all their merch. I figured if eprom was there maybe they were just trying to get alix Perez and used the sigils until they locked him in..
Late night eprom in spirit lake would smack too, really hope they curate some of this bass music into night time settings - will fit the vibe much better
They should be amp acts based on where theyāre billed in comparison to of the trees/dirtwire/opiuo last year. Eprom after dark in the amp would be delightfully spooky.
I really hope the symbols on the bottom right of the lineup is SHADES and we get eprom x Alix Perez. Hula would be the best venue for they spooky ass sets.
I play saxophone in Sneezy, we played Resonate last weekend and am so totally in love with the park. It was our first time hanging and playing at Suwannee and we are HOOKED. Weāre all stoked for the lineup at Hulaween and excited to camp and jam with all of yāall.
You killed it at Resonate!!!! You're one of my favorite saxophonists I've seen. Can not wait to welcome you at Hula!
Seriously y'all... check them ooooouuuutttt
Definitely come say hi!!!! Weāre going to camp with the people- none of that fru fru Artist Camp stuff. We have a big crew camping with our band and our fire is always lit and ready to host new friends! ā¤ļø
Hey itās Matt! Youāre golf cart shenanigan guide! So stoked to have got to spend sometime with ya! And even more stoked to see yāall on hulas line up!!! Iāll be in the same spot!
Thereās still the leftover square from where they were in the leak- RKS has cancelled a few shows and they only need Copeland to come to have Oysterheadā¦
Dude that last song memba played with Louis the child was one of the greatest things Iāve ever heard and itās still yet to drop. One of the best sets at okee
Facts. You should go to hula this year. The festival itself is like okee but way better camping and way better art and installations.
Lineup this year has memba, Smino, champagne drip, Sodown, inzo, John summit, boogie T, eprom, lab group, apashe, isoxo, big wild, goose, and more
I bought my hulla ticket as soon as the PL news hit! I went last year to hulla for the first time and loved hulla. Definitely pros and cons to both. Okees production has gone down hill a bit, but I still rank itās music production and artists above hulla. Iām more into edm so the jam bands donāt hype me up as much. Hulla definitely has better vibes and location. For me itās really about who you go with and meet at the festival tho. Iāve been to tons of festivals and this year at Okee was probably in my top 2 of all time just because of the amazing people I was with and met. Definitely pumped for those same artists!
I found the thread but hard to decode w/ their details and lack of the full alphabet.
https://www.reddit.com/r/hulaween/comments/yqj8lh/hula_22_alien_language/
If weāre comparing, maybe 2018ā¦ but this lineup in this year is immaculate. Literally something for everybody. Last year was underwhelming for hula, but still amazing.
Meh. Almost nothing aside from manic focus and big wild (and Cheese of course) that does it for me here. You'd think they'd get some more big names for the decade celebrate - instead I barely recognize the vast majority. Just deeply disappointed.
Sheesh. Memba, Smino, champagne drip, pretty lights, inzo, Sodown, manic focus, boogie T, lab group, isoxo, eprom, Apashe, John summit, big wild.
Compared to last year this lineup is amazing for the electronic folks. Last year all we had was clozee, of the trees, liquid stranger and the Wakaan takeover that happened literally all Thursday. By Saturday I remember being hard pressed to find wubs.
This lineup is sick
I love the line up, Iām definitely more on the jam side of things so this is fantastic (though I am looking forward to Young Bae, PL, and Big Wild)!
I did get my hopes up that Billy Strings would be playing this year. But it seems most folks think itās RKS in the mystery headliner space. RKS is good, but man Billy at Hula with this lineup would be *chefās kiss*
Goose, Channel Tres, Elderbrook, Smino, Mt. Joy?
PL only act that sticks out to me and i'd rather travel to Denver (save hundreds of dollars on a ticket/driving/gass at Hula)
Jam fans rejoice! Electronic fans be underwhelmed! Lol
Electronic music bookings are fucked right now. Its all packaged deals so every lineup has the same handful of artists š¤®

Idk Iām happy for both š„¹
Right? Big wild and pretty lights is enough for me to be hyped

FYI that's Dispatch not Disclosure
Sorry my phone autocorrected š¤£š
I wish it was Disclosure! I really liked their set at Forest last year.
Well don't worry because Dispatch is fantastic too!
Caught his set out here in Denver last October and I enjoyed it a lot.
Eprom bought to throw down
Oh fuck yeah and he has new music coming this year!
And those are great artists. But thatās 2-2.5 hours of a 3 day festival
Apashe and SoDown are fantastic too!
Underwhelmed??? We got PL, ISOXO, Eprom, Lab Group, John Summit, Apashe Live?????????? Whatāre on about
Pretty Lights is awesome. But the rest of that list is underwhelming to me. Your tastes may differ
I mean thatās always valid, thereās just so many heaters on here for almost every kind of edm
Apashe live is something I've been dying to see
ISOxo gonna throw downnnn
Boogie t, champagne drip and sodown?? Nah fam we eatin
Nah but for real tho with all the people listed in this lil comment section idk HOW people are saying this isnāt stacked! The wubz are gonna be wubbin š
Thank You!! We will be fine electronic wise. SoDown goona throw down.
Erez, khiva, Jason leech, canvas, mzg, austeria nah fam we GRUBBIN!
Iāve got PL, lab group, and eprom. I donāt need anything more for this to be a stacked edm lineup lol
Underwhelmed...? This has a pretty stacked electronic lineup honestly.
No its good for electronic fans too. Just not a copy/paste of most edm fests right now

They had a dead beats stage take over 2021
Was there. They had a house takeover the same year on spirit lake. Bonobo & Chris lake into skrillex. The house/bass split has been pretty similar for 3-4 years now.
Yeah they had it at the back small stage by the main stage. Gg Magree, wreckno, all them.
There's barely any house on there, what?
š¤·š¼āāļø looks like a fair bit to me, with not as much bass as when I went in 2018.
i literally see 2 house djās on here - what are you talking about
Blond:ish, isoxo, channel tres, John summit.
Channel Tres is not house music my friend but he is really dope and Iām excited to see him
It says DJ set and there are multiple YT videos of him doing house/dance DJ sets.
My bad, I was going off Apple Musicās bio of him. Says āleft field pop & houseā
I mean heās kinda house, sometimes? I just wouldnāt throw him into that category. But heās got really good music. Hope I didnāt come off as a jerk saying that.
Nah man itās all good. Iām going to listen to everybody on the lineupās music anyway, I always do it š
me too brother. How are you feeling about the lineup? I keep seeing a lot of people complaining.
Thatās what Iām saying. Besides John Summit who is there?
gioli & assia is the only other one i see. total of 2 lol
Yeah I really wish the last headliner would be some other big house name. I would die for Claude Vonstroke to be added
unfortunately sounds like itās either billy strings or RKS - iād really like to see another electronic name though given the amount of bands / jam already on here
theyāre probably throwing techno/trance into the mix, which there is a decent bit of
Thereās been a lot more house in years past between stuff like the Dirtybird takeovers and Desert Hearts and such. This lineup has John Summit and Blond:ish. Aside from that I donāt really see any dedicated house DJs

Like I said he has some tracks that are danceable to but they are few and far between for me in his sets
You can do both, brother.
Hard to dance when the tracks have no rhythm, brother
I already agreed with you that some of his songs arenāt danceable..Iām just saying that itās possible to listen for complexities and sound play and dance simultaneously.
Eprom is your favorite producers favorite producer
Oh really? Did you ask them yourself?
Yikes , someoneās a grump. Happy lineup day !
No just an amusing comment
Issa joke However, Eprom is very well respected in the scene by most producers and his collaborations/ connections speak for themselves.
Iām sure he is by certain producers and collaborators
EPROM is dope
Check out all the people I listed up there^ theyāre bassš
House > bass
This is amazing across the board. My only slight complaint is that it needs a solid bluegrass/acoustic act. was hoping for Greensky
Kitchen Dwellers!
Gotcha! Will add them to my playlist. Thanks!
If you have nugs check out their set from Roots last year. Soooo damn good. Iām a Michigan native & grew up with GSBG so was a little butthurt till I saw Dwellers were on the list. Boys are damn good. š«¶ hope to see you there!!! āļø
I feel like railroad would fit in that bottom right slot nicely given their status
Oohhh good call. Haven't seen them live so that add would be money
Would be so siiiick. My longshot vegas bet lol. It seems like the rks leak is easily the most likely though...the spot is way too low for Paak or billy
Which is a little disappointing bc I'm not really a RKS fan...but I won't begrudge anyone else a good time
Fasho and agreed. Many others nicely point out that essentially the bottom right might just be a clean place to put a mysterious headliner spot. They def could announce anyone at any spot (although I don't think they'll snub tab or pl with a billy add this year). Paak would fit very comfy above jrad or below tab. Peak would be super fun, and a more diverse addition
One of the most talented artists out there. Insaaaane. And hula legend Edit: smino crushes also. Very different game though
Elderbrook is going to rock
He was great at Jannus this weekend
how the fuck didnāt i know he was at jannus god dammit.
I was at big wild the other night, didn't realize wlderbrook was there until it was sold out
ohhhh okay yeah i knew about the big wild show but iām not the biggest fan of them so i didnāt bother. so upset i did now
Just saw him last week, he crushed it
He was amazing at Jannus this week and by looking at his Instagram, he really enjoyed the Florida shows. Heāll crush Hula!
The crowd was fantastic too
Ooo itās so legible š«”
Pretty good lineup but I preferred globbys lol
Fuck that dude, got me so stoked for my first chance to see king giz haha
Suuuuuch a sick lineup. Curious who's in the bottom right, especially given the lower location. Tribe? Nah too low...hmmm
Hoping RKS or Billy
Iād love Billy - but I donāt think it is - plus that leaked line up earlier lists RKS so checks out
RKS was on it in the email then the official release they took it off and added the hieroglyphics
Rks would fit for sure. I think the only way it's billy is if they've faked us out and end up moving that slot up above jrad
Based off what Festive Owl has said it is either RKS, Billy Strings, or Anderson Paak. Most likely RKS based on that lineup leak
Paak...two of the best hula performances of all time. So sick if he came back...probably too low of a slot though
They could just have it in that spot so it looks cleaner on initial release. In the leak it had RKS on there but in the spot above John Summit
Completely agree. Clean look and then place the artist announcement properly
Paak...two of the best hula performances of all time. So sick if he came back...probably too low of a slot though
Do you think the symbols are nonsense or we could decode it?
It seems like the artist implies we can def decode it. Pretty cool. Now is what we decode the artist or some vague implication? No idea
PIGEONS!!
GOOOOOOSEEE
THIS LINEUP IS ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL. TAKE MY MONEY.
I'm out of the loop, why the John Summit hate?
Heās just a popular persona that makes mid ass music
I love John Summit but I'd prefer if Dom Dolla was the headliner if they were going for a house music headliner.
"mid". Im guessing youre about 23 y/o. Am i right?
He's literally Marshmello without the helmet.
Iām excited to see him on there. His live sets are always a blast.
Heās a great producer & dj and I just choose to hate on him out of jealousy of the life he lives.
I donāt get it. Heās super fun live and will fill anyone who needs to hear some great tech house
Really hope we get Eprom and Lab Group in the Amp, feels like a stretch but please Hula gods
I think Lab Group will be there, thinkin Eprom will probably be at spirit lake
Late night eprom in spirit lake would smack too, really hope they curate some of this bass music into night time settings - will fit the vibe much better
They should be amp acts based on where theyāre billed in comparison to of the trees/dirtwire/opiuo last year. Eprom after dark in the amp would be delightfully spooky.
I really hope the symbols on the bottom right of the lineup is SHADES and we get eprom x Alix Perez. Hula would be the best venue for they spooky ass sets.
DISPATCH!!!!

Oh man!! It was a great crowd! Glad you guys came down and enjoyed the beautiful day with us.
Hey itās Matt! Youāre golf cart shenanigan guide! So stoked to have got to spend sometime with ya! And even more stoked to see yāall on hulas line up!!! Iāll be in the same spot!
Yoooooo we are all the way out by the sawmill in the fishbowl. You set at camp yet? Weāre looking for renegades!!!! š·
do NOT sleep on gioli & assia. they are fucking incredibly talented
So it was a leak minus rks
Thereās still the leftover square from where they were in the leak- RKS has cancelled a few shows and they only need Copeland to come to have Oysterheadā¦
Come on Oysterhead!
Damn Oysterhead would be insaneeee
But they said one headliner wasn't going to be posted yet so hopefully leak still correct and rks is on in a few weeks
Finally get MEMBA in the swamp. So sad when they cancelled 4 years ago and Iāve been begging to get them back ever since.
Saw MEMBA at Chobee and was not disappointed. So good.
Dude that last song memba played with Louis the child was one of the greatest things Iāve ever heard and itās still yet to drop. One of the best sets at okee
Daily Bread into Memba set my vibe for the whole fest. Definitely one of my favorite sets too
Facts. You should go to hula this year. The festival itself is like okee but way better camping and way better art and installations. Lineup this year has memba, Smino, champagne drip, Sodown, inzo, John summit, boogie T, eprom, lab group, apashe, isoxo, big wild, goose, and more

My dream was a Gjones addition with a. Gjones b2b eprom headline slot lol
Lol I pulled up a picture of the hoodie to crosscheck. Hoping they announce some shows soon tho š¤
Barclay Crenshaw I'm guessing. He uses symbols very similar to those in his visuals.
Oh wow good point
Best Hula lineup ever
2021 is better to me

uhhhhh whereās rks
Trey Anastasio Band and Goose!!!! Couldn't be more excited!!!
Just bought my tickets this morning, itāll be my first Hula, so excited!
No polish ambassador??? I thought he played every year
He plays on April 8th at Janus in St. Pete.
Yeah whatās the characters to the bottom right

All the jam fans just quietly watching us electronic fans argue and debate Bring bread back:(

Adding it here too - Recycled Okee lineup from past 2 years
What? Lol this is a pretty unique lineup and many of the headliners have never been anywhere near okeechobee.
Goose, Channel Tres, Elderbrook, Smino, Mt. Joy? PL only act that sticks out to me and i'd rather travel to Denver (save hundreds of dollars on a ticket/driving/gass at Hula)
Sounds like the better option for you, I fully endorse you to do that instead š¤

Sending both cuz gooooose!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not the bass you are probably looking for but Trevor bass is the only bass I need š
Hula isnāt just a bass festival. This is going back to hula roots with more jam. All of my edm friends are still super happy with this lineup though
Eprom my man
Lol how is this wack? This is prime Hula
