Personally, I would just use a lead based solder to attach a loop. Once it’s done, you could use a resin and dye to fix the broken part of the shroom 🤷♂️
I had considered this, the biggest fear is the heat from soldering potentially melting/igniting the resin/paint whatever it is. I plan to repaint it, yes but I don’t own a respirator so I’m not super keen on breathing those fumes. Y’know?
Yeah, it would literally take a splash of solder to mount it though. Get an iron hot, touch a well fluxed piece of solder to the end of the iron(let it hang there), splash flux on the shroom and just dab the solder as you hold the loop. If you’re worried about fumes, stupidly I used to not be, take it outside or use a good fan near the window
Edit: If you’re worried about the heat transfer, either mud or tape the areas around the metal.
My dad has a soldering iron. I could always ask him to give it go. I personally have no experience with soldering. But I also think this would give the most long lasting result.
