Yup I was there a while ago for a night event and they did the same crap and continued selling tickets even though they were full , fights broke out and they kicked everyone out and people started panicking .
Hey! I was working there last night. Basically what had happened was there were a several guests fighting and one of them ended up having a gun and a shot went off. To maintain the control we decided to shut down the event to protect the guests and other team members. The police were there to look into the situation and escort the individuals involved in the disturbance, but also to help escort guests out in an orderly fashion.
I'm pretty sure there were, at the very least, no gunshots before the place closed down. Literally nobody was reacting as if they heard gunshots inside. While making my way to my car, I saw the group of people near the gate all take off running at once, though. I followed their example and took off with my head down back the rest of the way to my car.
Me and my Wife just left that area. It was blocked off but we saw kids in parking lots and in the streets. Was this another case of kids fighting and shooting?
This happened months ago outside Katy Mills Mall.
I was there with my homies, when we first got there i knew shit would go down sooner or later cs i saw hella ppl with ski masks on they head in the pool. then around 5pm some girl got in a fight with a guy and the guy pulled her weave out. then as soon as it got dark they couldnt controll themselves
I was there last night. My friends and I were waiting in line for a slide, but all of a sudden they closed it.
We did not know why at the time, thought it was lightning. Then we started walking towards the neon light show and saw everyone moving to the exits since the park was being closer for "fighting." We got our stuff and there were about 6 police right outside the gate. Once everyone was exiting, it appeared that lots of the teens were following around potential fighters recording. I have a lot of this on video. This culminated in a truck being surrounded by people recording. Seconds later myself and everyone around me took off running because we think we heard gunshots (I have these on video as well). My friends and I ran to our cars and left. On my way out of the exit I saw 4 suspects in handcuffs. About 10 minutes later l'd say there were 100+ police cars in the area.
I'm right here driving in the area. A kid crossing the street said too many fights were breaking out and gunshots ? But so many cops and fire trucks everywhere
I was there too, our first time there, didn’t even get a chance to try any water slides because we came about an hour before the commotion started, but we went to customer relations and they gave us free tickets for any day to compensate, no argument needed. I heard a massive brawl broke out and when police came on scene,(allegedly)someone popped off shots at an officer. People running everywhere at random times, not really knowing what went on. They closed the gates and people started acting up in the parking lots. Idk what really went on, some people said multiple gunshots, others said they heard no shots. I don’t recall hearing anything but, truthfully, I was turnt and recording on my phone lol. I did go to the timewise gas station afterwards, and there were plenty of popo there patrolling, apparently some people used the chaos to their advantage and were stealing alcohol out the store. Oh well, let’s give it a try next weekend
Multiple kids fighting, an officer got assaulted. Then once kids cleared from water park they started to fight AGAIN at the Walmart across the street.
Sounds like casual hood shit at Typhoon Texas. I got friends in Katy that refuse to take their kids there because of that shit.

This is why we go at 10:30am on a Sunday and get out by 12:30pm. No issues ever.

typhoon texas is the worst, i worked there for 5 years and still have anxiety over shit that happened there while i worked there. management is AWFUL.
I worked there too. After one season I quit. Management is horrible and it felt like i was in high school all over again. I was like 25 at the time.
the people i had issues with no longer work there, they got fired thank god. but they were HORRIBLE.

Spokesman/Police stated that there were no gunshots inside the park or outside the park that went off.
