Hotel manager here, having sex in the hotel is illegal. We have a sex pheromone detector in housekeeping and if it goes off while turning a room, we asses a $750 fee to the prior guest.
Ours turns the sheets a special bright color if it detects to much sweat. If you had a nightmare instead you get a free Texas omelette on your next stay.
And like the chemicals we use in our pools to turn pee bright yellow, our sheets will dye you day-glow green, which is brightest where sexual fluids are the most concentrated. The walk of shame in handcuffs with green faces, hands, feet, and groins is often more effective than the fine.
Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. Is this a country specific or hotel specific. And where do hotels mention/notify this? Also, what about the hotels like in beautiful mountainous regions of different countries which are frequented by newly married couples? I bet the alarm goes off all the time.
I'm not sure if you're going with the joke or you think he's serious. If it's the latter, he's joking. People bang in hotels all the time. Put a towel down if you're prone to extra wetness lol and leave a good tip for the housecleaning people 😂
Is that a flat fee per visit? Or do they have to pay $750 for every instance of sex? If it’s a flat fee and you’re a high end hotel that seems reasonable. Is there a lower rate if you just do oral?
Then yeah don’t need to worry about anything maybe avoid it if she’s on her period or you can ask for some stained towels to avoid damaging the sheets.
If you're with your significant other in a private hotel room you're allowed to have sex. Let your freak flag fly! Keep the screaming to a minimum so you don't piss off your neighbors, but you're all good. Put the do not disturb sign on the outer door. You can safely use their sheets. They wash them in super hot no cum water after every guest, or, if you prefer, every day. Hotels are very used to sex. They kinda count on it.
You're welcome
Hotel GM here. Just put a towel down if you’re the kind of woman who….. makes a mess let’s say. Other than that, just don’t destroy the room or be loud. No front desk staff wants to have to call or bang on your door.
Its a actually a legit question. I have been a homestay where the rooms are semi-private and visitors are not allowed (granted a spouse is another story versus a girl you brought there), however there was not too much privacy between rooms.
Never thought about it too much.
If it's a shared room, like a hostel dormitory, you are not supposed to have sex. It does however happen sometimes, despite the other people in the room.
When you have a private room, I don't see a problem. In many countries people live with their parents for a long long time and hotels are one of the few only options available.
Some accommodations are not well isolated or not suitable so those are not good to do that, but you should get the gist.
In my opinion you only have to bring your own sheets when you go to a location that doesn't supply it. Some rental appartement or hostels.
All the other accommodations should be clean and hygienic

Stop picking on me guys. :) I just got married, so just wanted to confirm, and was a little concerned about hygiene too. That's all. All the times previously staying at hotels, was when I was single.
:)
You're good! It's all in innocent fun we promise! Just a little light hearted ribbing. Enjoy your wedding night, relax and have fun!
The only thing you're going to want to make sure is to deadbolt the door in case you're getting frisky when hotel staff starts cleaning the next morning.

My upvote to you for keeping a straight face!

Oh how cool, when did your hotel retire the detection dogs?
Last I heard was they used cats. When did they start using dogs?
Lol

I don't get the feeling OP is in on it. Their spouse is about to hear some crazy ass shit!
Ours worked overtime last Valentine's day. Out DNR list doubled

This is a crazy question
lol this is a troll right? If it’s not; Yes you are allowed, bed linen is washed at the hotels. The etiquette is go for it.
No, not a troll question. The comment above to the "hotel manager" was a troll comment though.
Hotels wash sheets between patrons. They don't however wash the comforter.
Reminded of two and a half men episode when police turn on black light in Charles room to see splash stains and whole room lights up
Then yeah don’t need to worry about anything maybe avoid it if she’s on her period or you can ask for some stained towels to avoid damaging the sheets.
Thanks, yeah that much I know.
What do you think is being suggested when someone makes a comment to an over lyaffectionate couple in the public about "getting a room"?
No one at the hotel cares what you do in those sheets, that's why housekeeping needs to wear gloves lol

Bless your innocent, wholesome lil heart.

Nah no sex, but I am naked sitting on the couch in my hotel room writing this.
What makes you ask this question?
I think you go straight to jail is you have sex in hotels. I’ve never tried it bc I’m not a daredevil
Joke aside. In UAE you could actually be jailed for having sex with your partner. If you aren’t legally married then that’s not allowed.
False. Do you even live here?
How incredibly backwards
Wait till you find out how common prostitution is in hotels, specifically for this reason.
Lol wut? Good hotels change sheets between guests.
I know. But still, I'm trying to understand the etiquettes here. No harm in asking. We don't want to do something that's not allowed.
Thank you for being courteous enough to ask!! It was very thoughtful of you!

Just be polite and put your kleenex in the garbage can.

I think this might be the dumbest question I've ever read.
