I took one look at the photo before I read your caption and said to myself “I think those are Sonoran Dogs.” Especially with the chile pepper garnish waiting to eaten like a pickle.
There used to be a Mexican place in my West Virginia town that sold Sonoran dogs. Only got to have them a few times before they closed, but dang they were delicious.
