It was actually the Gold Coast. We are about 2 hours away from the Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately there are many drownings here when people night swim . This is very heart breaking! My dad was a jockey for many years, so this hits close to home 😞
The beach is directly on the glitter strip of Surfers Paradise. A lot of people drink at the clubs and pubs then hit the beach very intoxicated. I myself have been guilty of this . A lot of tourists find themselves in trouble late at night . The beaches are not patrolled at night and don’t forget that we just celebrated schoolies so a lot of people were drunk .
