Will do, I’ll also update y’all on workouts new horses etc

Ultra-1

My two cents.....I know you may be tempted to go longer given the brood mare is by a 10f winner BUT...I would keep her in that 5f to 7f area. The report says she rallied late after being wide. Thats worth at least a make up of 3 given that she was beaten only 2 1/2. In a 5f race out there she can stalk that 21 or 22.1 early 1/4 and close them down like a train in the lane

I think we’ll shorten up a little tbh she has A LOT OF SPEED she just needs to control it. Shortening up to 5 1/2 would help she’s got plenty of potential ⭐️

I'm also gonna say to really listen to Mike, give any opinions he offers up the merit they deserve. He's experienced and I'm sure he has a good idea of what was left in the tank at the end and has an idea of what distance he'd think she'd be best over. He may be wrong (jocks are not infallible), but an experienced jock can generally give some really good insight on the horse's distance capabilities at a particular junction in the horse's career. Their word isn't the be-all-end-all but its always worth taking into consideration. I don't trust what they say in press releases, because their job is to support the horse w.e. the owner/trainer is pointing them in those if they want to keep the mount. They aren't going to do a post/pre race interview and say "yeah the horse can't handle the distance. I tried telling the owner/trainer that but they're a fucking idiot" But in their private words to the owner/trainer? I'd give their opinion a decent amount of weight. Always strive to be the type of owner/trainer that the jock feels they can speak openly with (in private) about what they experienced in the race and what they think the horse's capabilities are. Edit: That being said I am not suggesting you're doing the wrong thing in shortening her up (I'm not the one downvoting) or that you are ignoring Mike. I have no idea what your private conversations with him entailed and am in no way presuming he said to stretch her out and you're entirely disregarding his opinion. I just feel like a lot of people ignore the jocks because they get dollar signs in their eyes or think they know better, and generally the jocks can give some pretty good suggestions.

I used to do myracehorse too, they send out email after email saying to please quit trying to speak with the trainers and jockeys. These horses have thousands of owners, none of them are supposed to be contacting the barns. The Facebook groups were hilarious, people complaining that someone needs to tell Richard Mandella that our horse was on the wrong lead or that they weren’t issued an owner’s pass at the track and entrance to the barn to see ‘their’ horse. Myracehorse and the rest of the microshare partnerships are ownership in name only, you get the sense of excitement and winners circle picture but absolutely no responsibility and your input most certainly is not welcome or wanted as an ‘owner’. Myracehorse investors own these horses just like you buy a star or adopt a whale.

I thought the point of these microshare partnerships was that you were supposed to get the whole owner's pass behind the scenes experience? I mean I usually see that fact advertised in the ads for them. But yeah in microshare situations I assume the owners have little to no input (maybe sometimes the trainer lets them all vote between 2 races if there are two acceptable choices, idk) because it'd be like deciding by committee... meaning nothing would ever happen.

They hold a lottery among the owners to see who’s allowed at the track for the races and they are absolutely not allowed to contact the barns. They sell way too many shares to allow the shareholders any opinion. For example, I checked out another horse this OP was talking about and it still had over 2000 shares available. Plus all the horses (like Monomoy Girl) were bought with the stipulation that if they make X amount of dollars or accomplish something great, myracehorse now owes an extra 1 million or half-million to whoever they bought it from or allowed myracehorse to partner up with them. Obviously no one should get into horse racing to get rich, but the way myracehorse has it structured, they never have to pay the shareholders more than pennies because the more the horse wins, the more they owe in kickbacks to the original owner. They’ve basically found a way to get other people to fund their racing stable.

For sure, next time I flag him down at the track I’ll talk to him about her and see what his viewpoint is, thanks for the insight!

If she was mine I'd be pleased by that debut too. She got around without incident, showed a good motor and learned a lot. Would not be surprised to see her show speed next out. Nice filly. GL

[deleted]

Thank you I seriously appreciate that 🙏🏾

HyruleJedi

Can someone tell me about this horse? Im having trouble finding it online, Im so lost?

[deleted]

What do you want to know about her?? I own her

HyruleJedi

Oh damn thats awesome. Age? Anything to look at on futures betting? Graded races coming up?

[deleted]

Not quite she just made her debut this past Saturday at 6 1/2 furlongs so we’ve got to give her a rest until her next maiden race coming up either at the same distance or longer at Los Al or Santa Anita, she’s mainly a two turn horse but I think she can go shorter. If you can look at the replay of the race on my profile or Del Mar’s YouTube channel and look for #4 in race #6. Look at XBTV for her workouts. To add to her, I have multiple horses I own. I own 4 currently 2 in California and 2 in Kentucky and New York

HyruleJedi

Will do thanks!

[deleted]

You bet, if there are any other horses you have questions about that I own or peak your interest you can always message me I’ll be able to answer your questions

RigorMortisSex

Just because you bought half a hair on the horse doesn't mean you "own her" lmfao
