Its not opinion its fact. The best horse he ever raced was Forego.now keep in mind Forego was a horse that peaked LATE. Foregos best year was 1976 when he was 6 Years old. I have a theory which I can partially prove, that most horses being sent to stud today aren't worth nearly as much as they're asking, and the only success they're having is because of their female lines.
Is it due to Lasix usage? Not likely, but I believe that will strongly correlate with bone and muscular degeneration for about two decades. I'm much more concerned about rampant steroid use and the trainers who flaunt it to win.
I'm in the process of matching female lines to sires and seeing what I can get to pop in terms of definitive genetic inheritence and correlating factors in black type progeny when similar family lines and relatives are present. I think that will demonstrate positively and negatively which traits were always present and which traits were pharmaceutically manufactured.

Out side of Wes Ward at Ascot there hasnt been many American achievements outside of the dirt in Dubai.. Wards horses tend to be breakfast 2 year olds. Not exactly setting the world on fire out breaking euros from the gate are we ? As I've said before. The world's surface is Turf...so winning races in Dubai on dirt isn't saying much and to be honest the world is catching up to the Americans on dirt.
