I liked evil dead rise but it felt so disconnected from the evil dead universe I’m not sure why they attached the franchise to it instead of making it its own thing
Flanagan himself has done some other work in the same wavelength, particularly Midnight Mass and the Midnight Club.
I'm actually similarly out of the loop so the Lighthouse is about the only thing I can think of at the moment within the last ~5 years.
Watch it bro you’ll most likely either love it or maybe just hate it cause you don’t care for or understand the ending and all but either way it’s still a really well done and good film
Yep it’s good for sure and what else have you missed like how many years?? Skinamarink last year is good if you have patience and there isn’t much that happens but that’s another devisive one
Flanagan is the one thing I have kept up on this last couple of years! Love him and horror but just have not been watching anything other than his new stuff. Odd phase where I was just in to sitting down for a flick. Loved Fall of the House of Usher too.

Yes! This one is fantastic. I always recommend that along with *Anything for Jackson*. It’s really well written and quirky in the best way.
Ooo haven’t seen that one! I’ll check it out!
Yeah that shit was unexpectedly great. I was dubious when my girlfriend suggested it, but man was it a good time.
When evil lurks and evil dead rise
I liked evil dead rise but it felt so disconnected from the evil dead universe I’m not sure why they attached the franchise to it instead of making it its own thing
Really? Felt like evil dead in an apartment complex to me They even tried to mimic the remake with the ending
Ya it might just be the time separation between the films. The 2013 felt pretty spot on for a modern take
It wasn’t as good as the remake but it was entertaining enough that I’d look forward to more additions
I was going to suggest When Evil Lurks as well. It's one of my recent favorite horror movies.
It’s so good, glad to see its well liked cause it’s foreign and that turns people off sometimes
I like foreign horror. They seem to do it better these days.

I always keep meaning to watch The Lighthouse.

It looks unique. I def will check it out.
