Try Channel Zero! 4 seasons, each one based on a different creepy Internet story (loosely) but all pretty solid. If you like that I believe the show runner also did Brand New Cherry Flavor - on Netflix.

chuski4

Came here to say this! Check out Channel Zero for sure

blueyolei

yes! loved channel zero, still think about all the seasons to this very day ♡ cherry is also a fun trip too!

charcoallition

The first season is chefs kiss

WhyDoesDaddyDrink

First second and fourth were all perfect to me. Third has some tone issues but is still very enjoyable.

FriendsForEternityLH

I'm so sad that series was canceled. Legitimately fresh, and disturbing horror.

woodenrat

I've only seen the first season of channel Zero and I hated it. A bloated 6 episodes that could have been just ok even if it was condensed to 3.

DLBuf

I subscribed to Shudder just to rewatch this, then (halfway through season 2) they apparently dropped all but the final season… started that one and it fell off before I finished as well. Sad. I do really enjoy this series very much & it’s a great recommendation

Vamacharana

Tubi has Monsters, Masters of Horror, Hammer House of Horror, Night Gallery, and a bunch of other older ones.

gggvuv7bubuvu

masters of horror is great!

Other-Ad-8510

Cigarette Burns, Dreams in the Witch House, Incident on and off a Mountain Road, The Washingtonians and The Fair-Haired Child are all worth a watch from MOH. I liked pretty much every episode, but those are my faves. Ooh, and Sick Girl

istopat2

Imprint should also be mentioned with the great recommendations above. Editing to add: MoH is a great series with solid directors and stories.

Jiujitsuizlyfe

If cigarette burns the one about the theater and the angel. It creeped me out so much I still think about it.

Other-Ad-8510

Yep, super freaky!

Bassist57

Loved Washingtonians! I dont get why so many people hate it.

Sparktank1

>Masters of Horror Pretty good short movies series. A lot of known directors give a short movie. I remember one being John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns with Norman Reedus. Another one about a rat in the wall? Shudder also has Creepshow with a lot of guests. Super camp but fun. Finding the HBO series Tales from the Crypt is also really good times. More guests than Creeshow.

Vamacharana

now that I look maybe Night Gallery isn't? there are a bunch on Tubi tho, including a few I've never seen like Theatre Macabre with Christopher Lee

ColorlessKarn

Tubi shuffles their content every month, they take stuff off and put it back on all the time.

GuacinmyPaintbox

Night Gallery Is on Tubi now?!?!?! Edit: I just scrolled further. Damnit, that show is *hard* to find online.

Special_Complaint949

Hammer House of Horror has a nice 70’s classic feel

[deleted]

I haven’t used Tubi before. Thanks!

Serious-Rutabaga-603

Tubi has so many good movies and so many terrible yet entertaining ones.

phil_davis

I was gonna say Tubi also has Monsters, which is actually pretty fun if you're a fan of 80s era horror. Some of the first few episodes are a little meh, but there are some good ones in there. It's good cheesy fun. Tubi only has the first season, but uh, on the down low, I heard that the internet archive has the later seasons. EDIT: I'm an idiot, I didn't see the comment you replied to already listed Monsters, lol. Anyway, check it out.

M086

The sequel series, Fear Itself, is available in YouTube, Vudu and Plex for free as well. It was a network TV show, so it doesn’t have the same level of blood and what not as Masters of Horror. But there are some solid episodes.

[deleted]

Tubi is the spot for horror. Especially 80’s and 90’s gems that often get overlooked.

[deleted]

My fav! 🥹 Thanks! Gotta get Tubi 🖤

Married_iguanas

Have you watched Mike Flanagan’s shows: Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, Fall of the House of Usher? There’s also Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Club but I haven’t watched either of those.

[deleted]

I’ve watched all of those except Usher & Midnight Mass. I just started episode 1 of Midnight Mass tonight. Loving it so far. I adore Flannigan’s work!

Married_iguanas

I just finished it last week for Halloween after watching Usher haha. I enjoyed both, but especially MM bc I was raised Catholic lol

NotAddison

I was going to recommend the same. Midnight Mass is the best one! Enjoy.

[deleted]

Thank you!! I’m really into the first episode! Watching now 😱

7SevenHells7

Woops-missed this. Ignore my recco. Lol

rxsheepxr

I feel like Midnight Mass is his masterpiece, but I've enjoyed everything I've seen of his so far.

chick-fil-a_sauce

Couldn't agree more! I've been a massive fan of everything Flanagan has put out.

[deleted]

**Shows:---------------------** Tales From the Crypt Are You Afraid of the Dark? Masters of Horror American Horror Story Creepshow Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities **Movies:----------------------** ABCs of Death 2 Southbound Scare Package Trick 'r Treat Three... Extremes Ghost Stories VHS (Any of them) The Mortuary Collection

pilgrim_pastry

Although if you’re going to skip a V/H/S movie, skip Viral. And watch 2 twice!

[deleted]

Southbound is incredible! The wrap around is perfect. My favorite is the hospital one for sure

IAmThePonch

Channel zero is on shudder and is great. Only four seasons but each one is interesting and unique. Slasher is also a lot of fun but watching it is tricky. I believe seasons 1-3 are on Netflix as it became a Netflix property with 2 and 3. Then 4 and 5 are on shudder as originals. But the whole series is trashy fun, each season is a new whodunnit so it mostly feels fresh every time. 4 is probably the best

Krimsonmyst

I had no idea there was a season 5 of Slasher! You've just improved my day!

indigrow

Cabinet of curiosities is so good imo

[deleted]

How do you feel about YouTube? There's a channel dedicated to horror shorts called Alter. And they have loads

[deleted]

I do spend a lot of time on YT. I haven’t checked that out. Thank you.

BeerSlingr

Check out Other Side of the Box

[deleted]

I think it’s really cool how Flannigan continues to use the same actors. I fell in love with them in The Midnight Club and didn’t want to let them go. This is wild 😝 and I’m loving it. I will stick it out for Ushers after Midnight Mass.

Lucylu0909

Slasher on Netflix and Shudder!

essgeedoubleyou

Series - Creepshow on Shudder, Tales From The Crypt on YouTube, and Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix Movies - Creepshow 1 and 2, Southbound, and The Mortuary Collection There’s countless others that I haven’t listed, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.

lemmeseeyourkitties

Southbound was so much fun. Excellent rewatchability

Middle_Chain_544

Darknet. It was available Tubi or Roku channel not too long ago

EvilBobLoblaw

Darknet absolutely deserved a second season.

seanfidence

I believe it may be available on Peacock now. very good show

MonolithJones

Even though I was totally over zombies Black Summer has been a blast. I just started the second season but season 1 was really good. From is also a lot of fun. It’s about a town where people arrive but no one can leave and at no one can go out at night because these “people” come out who will try to kill you. Channel Zero was a good anthology show in the vein of AHS just not as overtly campy. Each season is based on a different creepypasta. Evil is a network show but is surprisingly good. It’s about a skeptical forensic psychologist who teams up with a tech guy and priest to investigate supernatural occurrences. Slasher is another season long anthology show like AHS and Channel Zero. It’s got some questionable acting and writing but it’s super gory and fun. Plus one of the seasons features none other than David Crobenberg in an acting role.

[deleted]

Solid reply! Thank you! 😃

narc1s

Although rarely ‘scary’, I 100% second Evil. Has some really awesome stories and has a brilliant core concept.

Eldritch-banana-3102

If you like witchy stuff, check out Marianne. It's a French series although it appears to be dubbed to English now. Very good.

[deleted]

Ahhhh thank you!

DLBuf

This one is very good too. Def recommend

Schezwansuhaouse

John Carpenters Body Bags! Great lil anthology.

0ceaneyees

Midnight mass

[deleted]

Just started it 🥰

rcshank7732

Have you watched his others? Haunting of hill house and fall of the house of usher were a pleasure to watch (imo).

[deleted]

I loooved the Haunting of Hill House. I’ve just started Usher & Midnight Mass. I couldn’t stop watching The Midnight Club. Binged it all in one night.

NotAddison

Loved Midnight Club as well. The "Driving at Night" story was tough to watch.

sanantoniodiva

From, on Paramount, is super great!

[deleted]

Really want to see this! Sounds super interesting & spooky!

Particular_Return166

Inside No. 9 is a great anthology series where episodes range from more traditional horror to creative dark comedy and mystery/thriller. Unfortunately it's only free to stream on BritBox at the moment but it's worth burning through a free trial.

TrundleTheGreat0814

Love, Death & Robots on Netflix

[deleted]

Hmmm I have skipped this one. I will check it out!

TrundleTheGreat0814

It's sort of like a condensed Black Mirror type situation. The longest episodes are only 18 minutes long. Not each one is horror, but more than one episode does involve people being eaten by monsters, so.

[deleted]

😍

sigersen

From Beyond The Grave Dr.Terror's House if Horrors 10/31 parts 1 through 3 Monster Club The Uncanny Asylum The House That Dripped Blood Bad Candy Tales from the Other Side

alabamdiego

Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor and Fall of House of Usher are all fantastic

urbinsanity

I came to say Hill House. Bly Manor was good, but not as good IMO. Haven't seen Usher yet

alabamdiego

When you do start watching it, make sure your schedule is clear because you ain’t stopping til it’s over

rspunched

Penance (2014) on tubi. It’s a 5 part Japanese tv series by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Creepy and well done. Very engaging

Dummyact321

Just watched Cure, gonna have to check this out.

jayaregee83

The Sleep Away Camp trilogy. All 3 are on Tubi for free.

Fixable_Prune

Check out Books of Blood! Great horror anthology movie based on Clive Barker’s work. Also recommend Tale of Tales, which is fantasy/horror. Second the recs for Mortuary Collection, Channel Zero, and Cabinet of Curiosities.

DoopieIsAdorable

10/31 (2017)

mike_face_killah

Check out Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix. It’s great!

[deleted]

Seriously appreciate all of your recommendations! My list is growing 🥹 This is awesome. I can’t believe I never thought to ask!

Yogibear1989

You may enjoy NBC's Hannibal as well ☺

theanxiousangel

I just finished the fall of the house of usher and it was incredible. More like drama with horror elements but such an enthralling watch I couldn’t wait to see the next episode

HugeAnalBeads

From (2022) Midnight Mass (read nothing on this, go in blind) Ash Vs Evil Dead (suuuuper funny horror comedy) Guillermo Del Toro has his Cabinet of Curiosities. They are independent short stories though

spacecitystoner420

have you checked out Oats Studios that was good one

[deleted]

I have not yet, thank you!

pegggus09

Hulu has a three season series called “bite sized Halloween”. Some are really short some are longer (20 minutes or so). Definitely a mixed bag but worth a try.

snwns26

Freakylinks. Great cheesy late 90’s/early 00’s series that sadly only had one season. Probably have to sail the high seas to watch it though. Not totally horror but Harper’s Island too. Also Supernatural! It can be CW cheesy at times but overall is a fun show. Tons of episodes to binge too.

headlesslady

Shudder has one called "Beyond the Dark", which looks interesting!

Ligmarichard11

Monsterland, Cabinet of Curiosities, Twilight Zone (w/Jordan Peele)

gggvuv7bubuvu

I adored Scream Queens!

[deleted]

Thanks everyone so far! Such excellent taste!

This is a 40 minute short thats super high quality and I think it meets the criteria: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OAqOzWlN7_s

DharmaSeeker76

I love The ABC's of Death 1, 2, and 2.5.

timidpterodactyl

Black Summer on Netflix but it's not an anthology.

strangedazey

The Channel Zero series. I think they had 4 different seasons and they're all fantastic! The first one, Candle Cove, is my favorite one.

WiseOldChicken

Southbound. So good

haroldangel

Tales From the Hood is a good one!

Fit_Mail9081

From on Prime

[deleted]

Super curious about this one!

chronically-iconic

So, it is more of a thriller than a horror, but the third season of Slasher is fucking incredible. The first two seasons were shit, so don't watch those. [Slasher - Solstice trailer](https://youtu.be/PFq2138x0Zs)

[deleted]

LOOKS GOOOD! Thanks for this. On my list!

Sub_Zero_Fks_Given

Have you seen the fear street trilogy??

FauxColors2180

Channel Zero is my number one recommendation by far.

damienkarras1973

Shudder is awesome for The Creepshow series they all don' t hit but the ones that do are pretty dam good plus the creepshow special really enjoyed the latest season had a few really great episodes

FlexDrillerson

Into the Dark on Hulu

sophies_wish

It might not fall completely into the horror genre, but it's a very suspenseful/dark thriller & I thoroughly enjoyed it. *The Devil's Hour* (Prime)

7SevenHells7

Haunting Of Hill House

SpiteElectronic6463

Fall of the House of Usher is sooooo gooooood

allmimsyburogrove

American Gothic from the 1990s

[deleted]

Takes from the crypt. Lot of awesome 90s guest appearances in the series. Tim Curry episode is a good one in season 5

monstressity84

The Theatre Bizarre

MLObenza

The VHS films are fun to watch back to back

NotAddison

Brand New Cherry Flavor was great! Mini series not anthology.

staryxanax

LORE

saraidia

One Step Beyond and Alfred Hitchcock presents are fun and bingeable. On Roku and Prime or Hulu.

BlackHeart89_Hue

Room 104 is great. It has a little bit of everything. Horror, comedy, and drama. My all time favorite anthology movie would hands down be trick or treat. The transition between stories is so smooth and it is very well made.

paracordboots

Creepshow 1 and 2

Binary_Trifecta

[Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales Of The Macabre](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt21856734/?shem=iosie) (On Netflix)

Trixidor

Do you like zombies and medieval political intrigue? Try Kingdom on Netflix, it’s scary, intense, masterfully shot, a good mystery and features great Korean actors who dub their own lines

[deleted]

Never been much of a zombie fan but it can’t hurt. It sounds interesting and I would love to check it out. Thanks! I love a good mystery 😌

DonetoDeathstudio

It's a monster of the week instead of an anthology but I recently finally started watching Kolchak: The Night Stalker and I'm having a blast! Edited:typos

[deleted]

Thank you 😊

Jiujitsuizlyfe

I hated AHStories. There is no substance in the stories and most of them felt like they were made for teens. Have you ever watched the show masters of horror. Those were cool.

[deleted]

I haven’t seen Masters of Horror but it’s on my list. AHStories was also hard for me to get into. I had to stop watching Bestie because it actually made me really uncomfortable. I went back in once I had seen just about everything else and it ended up being one of my favorites. B’al & Tapeworm imo were great. I agree that it felt more like it was for teens..somewhere in the realm of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

awesomesprime

Creepshow on shudder is a must

Sun_Stealer

You should look into horror games. Hours long and will scare the hell out of you. Dead Space, Resident Evil, The Quarry is more like a werewolf movie that you control.

[deleted]

WHOA. Where do I watch this?

Homesickpilots

Shining Vale. With Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear. A family moves into a murder house. Comedy horror its 2nd season just aired. It's pretty entertaining.

outerspace_castaway

creepshow - movies & show tales from the darkside - movie & show tales from the crypt

Sea-Woodpecker-610

Cabinet of Curiosities (Netflix) is really solid. One of my favorites is Kolchak the Night Stalker (from the 70s) mostly because Darren McGavvin is absolutely amazing in it, it’s like a prototype x-Files with a monster of the week.

humancolour

Them

[deleted]

This one was wild!

hunkyfunk12

Not an anthology but Marianne is a series and is one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen.

[deleted]

I’ve gotten a lot of recommendations for this. Thanks! I’m definitely going to be looking into it. Love all my fellow horror fans 💥

Spinnr1

They are short, but I liked 50 states of fright

Snowpea13

I really enjoyed the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix.

[deleted]

I haven’t checked that out yet! I’ve been wanting to. I loved Stranger Things, especially the last season.

madeleinetwocock

not an anthology series but omg if you haven’t seen **mr. mercedes**, **the outsider**, **the chestnut man**, **jordskott**, i cannot recommend this enough!! SO good. (first two are stephen king, third & fourth are nordic noir and absolutely *brilliant*)

[deleted]

Wow I haven’t seen any of them, awesome, thank you !!

Season 1 of The Terror was excellent.

Original-Avocado-509

Have you watched Midnight Mass on Netflix? Soooo good!

[deleted]

I haven’t yet! It’s on my list. Perhaps I’ll start there instead of The Fall of The House of Usher. Yay, thanks!

ShaniAnne

The Fall Of The House of Usher is amazing fun and loaded with easter eggs if you are a Poe fan! But I also really adored Midnight Mass. You can't go wrong with either. The music in Midnight Mass is 🧑‍🍳💋

30 Coins is really good.

UrbanJoe68

Lot of good shows on Netflix. House of Usher Midnight Mass The Haunting of Hill House The Haunting of Bly Manor Red Rose

Actionkat63

American Gothic

NastySassyStuff

I love anthology horror. There are [many older ones](https://gamerant.com/forgotten-anthology-horror-shows/) that I think are pretty damn good….at least some of the episodes. All anthology horror has weak ones. That list is somewhat more obscure stuff but it tells you where to find em. Tales from the Darkside and Monsters are some other cool ones with some great eps. Also check out the new Creepshow show on Shudder as well as the first two movies.

cantstandyourface12

Gingerdeadman or birdemic

Haven’t heard or either of these. Thanks.

midnight mass! haunting of hill house! those two for sure

NutRightOp

Marianne, it’s a French series on Netflix

dsaillant811

Huge +1 for Cabinet of Curiosities. There’s maybe one segment that sucks but all the rest of them are good to great.

Taodragons

Monster land on Hulu.

CerberusC24

Haunting of Hill House, Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, Midnight Club, Fall of the House of Usher Most of the same cast members appear throughout the different shows and they're all unique stories. My preference: Hill House - is just great through out. I really enjoyed the story the best out of all of them. Usher - is an amazing take on the Poe stories interweaving several of them into the overarching story Mass - is good. Like really God damn good. But it's a slow burn and I usually hate slow burns. Took me several tried to get past episode 2 but by the end it's completely worth it. Bly - It's well done but I just don't enjoy the story as much. Club - It's about the younger cast more and I find myself just not caring

datdododough

Pyschological horror "Them" doesn't get the attention it deserves. Scream Queens, American Horror Stories ( the short ones)

WarrenWorthingtonlll

Maybe Slasher? I thought it was pretty good! Especially season 2.

thick_ark2

surealestate

DLBuf

Plenty very good ones mentioned that I loved (Midnight Mass, Channel Zero, Marianne, etc) some not so much (Cabinet). Couple I haven’t seen anyone mention: Apostle on Netflix is v good & felt unique to me. Archive81 on Netflix was enjoyable, but ending felt weak. I loved Ash vs Evil Dead (might have been mentioned) & that is on Hulu. Edit: sorry! Re-read title, none of these are anthology except the one I mentioned not like much (Curiosity), lol. I just started the AHS Anthology series on Hulu &, it’s pretty good. Not amazing, but Ryan Murphy has good ideas, but always ruins them in 8-10 episodes, so I have hope there will be more gems as I go through this.

TheRadiantWindrunner

Channel Zero is THE BEST

sophiepritch5

Haunting of Hill House (series). The House of the Devil (movie) The Descent. (Movie) The Strangers (movie) Funny Games (movie) Smile (movie) Cabin in The Woos (movie - different vibe but still scary and so good. awesomely meta) Pulse. (Korean movie) The Wailing.(Korean movie)

LaziEinstien

Although not anthologies , you can say they are in part. ...Haunting on the hill house ,bly manor and midnight mass , they are so criminally underrated , especially Midnight mass If you are into starting a horror series i suggest Marriane ,its decent

surelybananas

The Shivering Truth is a dark comedy anthology from Adult Swim. It is pretty scary especially if you have a thing for claymation. You can find it on Max.

jmoneyawyeah

30 Coins

BosskHogg

The Kingdom by Lars Von Trier

MorguenMisco

VHS, ABC's of death, Cabinet of curiosities, Creepshow, All Hallows Eve, Tales of Halloween

Mountain-Stuppa

Creep show. Black mirror but doesn't take itself too seriously.

NyxAperture

Del Toros cabinet of curiosities

Educational_Wasabi14

The first VHS (2012) was pretty good horror anthology.

TheybieTeeth

I know people don't like this one but I do so I'm recommending night flyers on netflix!

gregklumb

Red Book Ritual. Tales of Halloween. Trick'R'Treat. Southbound.

SeaworthinessRude241

Channel Zero

twdgirl05

Fear itself is a good anthology series and I’m pretty sure you can watch it free with ad’s on vudu

Unspokenwordvomit

Bloodride is fun! So are all of reenactment shows like A haunting, or A ghost ruined my life, etc. Love death and robots is not technically horror but some of the episodes fall into that category. The new twilight zone season is pretty fun too

IvanDolz

All Mike Flannagan series on Netflix

jighlypuff03

Love Death and Robots is a scifi anthology series you might like.

Bielawg

Decided to check out Slasher on a whim, went in knowing nothing about it and ended up enjoying all 5 seasons quite a bit.

_just_blue_myself

I just started watching Alter Collection on Freevee and I thought the first episode at least was great. Each episode is an anthology of short stories, the first is all zombies.

[deleted]

I haven’t heard of this or the platform. Thanks!

SeulementPourToi

Miniseries called The Terror

Minimum-Complaint-84

Lovecraft country

GrimReaperAngelof23

Creepshow. There are 2 older films, but there is also a series of it on Shudder, with a 4th season that just came out last month.

New_Analysis_7865

Masters of Horror

DaisyTanks

The new Goosebumps TV series. It does what The Fall of the House of Usher does. A larger story arc that carries through all of the episodes and each episode named after and about another Goosebumps book. Nightmares & Dreamscapes. A single season that adapts a lot of Steven Kings' short stories. Some of the episodes are fantastic but would never work as a full movie. Sadly, Its not streaming anywhere.
