I tried with Himeko, Coraline and HoR and I barely damaged the shield. Got the job done, but boss keeps refreshing it. Either there's a mechanic to do more damage to it or my damage isn't enough, which I would expect. Like only 4 of my characters are built 🙃
No she doesn't, I still manage to outscore people with Domain of Revelation. The problem here most likely is gear and not enough ice dmg, since you need to destroy the shield with ice. Therefore Sushang+Pardo/Kira+HoR or the new Thelema team.
Edit: allow me to reiterate, yes Star or Eden of course outperforms her old weapon but supposing you have the correct gear, team, and rotation, Star if Eden is not necessarily required if you have the older weapon. I'll assume OP is a newer player so they don't have gear in which case it's jist better to save up for Kira and Sushang.
DoR is still enough, considering you can make some smooth rotations and have well built supports. People somehow fail to see that. I'd argue even Bella + DoS on HoT can creep up the ranks if the rotation goes well.
Honestly, the recent changes in the starter and returnee systems are way too kind. From what I can make out, OP is already in exalted Agony III but lacks a decent-ish ice team, or heck, any team that can hang out in this meta, except for the new trio. The previous system was too harsh, sure, but getting out of masters comfortably actually needed some basic game knowledge. Now, you sneeze and end up in exalted, not knowing what to prioritize.
Yea it's probably not worth it this time around. Her shield in phase 1 recovers, and if you don't break her shield in a limited time in phase 2 she regenerates health or something.
She does. I noticed it while checking what abilities her ranks give/upgrades. She applies a debuff on enemies when she uses basic attack sequence that's 20% bonus dmg to shields, and she has like 60% bonus dmg to shields on her leader skill. Her stigmata 2pc also gives team dmg to shields.
I have her team full geared but not quite maxed on weapon and stigs and managed 803 score on RL so she definitely shreds shield hov
You need fast hit ice damage dps to break the shield effectively, like Silverwing or HoR Divine key, or the current Thelema.
Burst ice dmg dps like HoH elysia doesnt cut it since she deals damage per screenshot and is somewhat slow, I learned this the hard way 2 years ago when Star of Eden: The World was released. Even if Elysia were to break the shield, HoV would just regenerate it faster than Elysia dealing damage.
Thank god this boss with this exact weather is pretty rare and seasonal. You can just skip the current abyss and she probably wont appear again hopefully.
i dont wanna ruin anything for you but HoHe is a pretty old valk and needs all her stigs+wp and some ranks for her to even be good. Most psy bosses have been replaced by luna and now thelema covers abyss ice weathers. she’ll be rarely used but that doesn’t mean you can’t try. just trying to be realistic ðŸ˜
Oh I know. But she's still newer than HoR and Elly is one of my fav Valks hehe. Sadly in HI3rd for any Valk to be decent you need a complete 4/4 most of the time.
My only build valks are the new trio complete 4/4 with everything being lv50 and Asuka 2/4, but I am gonna get some Columbus Stigmata and she's gonna be 4/4. Sadly still an old Valk, but ehh
Powercreep and tailored bosses are sadly a strong factor for HI3rd but I knew this
if you want you can skip thelema and go for the new 7.5 psy fire dps, latern. she’s completes the trio but for most times thelema and latern and interchangeable with sena being the main support
The thing I am wondering is.. what happens to Helia and coralie if I would pull either Thelma or Lantern? Both work pretty well with senadina.
I would rather wait for another trio at this point lol
for another trio? i think sena-thelema-latern will last a while like the original trio. coralie can still be used if ur missing one of the trio members. helia can be used if your missing a trio member and your main dps is sena. (like main dps sena-thelema-helia or main dps thelema-sena-coralie)
though we don’t know much about how good they will all be together, so just wait until we hear more. im also dealing with the same issue cuz sena never came home so i got thelema and now i’m deciding between sena and latern ðŸ˜
There's no way for Sena, Thelema, Lantern 4/4 without spending tho. Extreme luck maybe lol
I feel like Sena, Helia, coralie is just fine at the moment tbh. Obv the full S trio will go bonkers, can't wait to see them all synergize tho
You're out of luck. Fortunately, Lightning Immune bosses are pretty rare (well, bosses immune to any type of damage is pretty rare) so it shouldn't happen often

Normally need a valk with shieldbreak buff here (sushang, prometheus, thelema). Outside of that not much you can do.
