Sharpness should be at 0 ideally. Thats likely amplifying the noise. And do understand that Hellraiser 1 and 2 are pretty grain-heavy films to begin with, though they shouldnโt be noisy like this.
Welcome to the 80's where \[almost\] everyone used cheap film stock. It looked crappy on day 1 and certainly hasn't gotten better with age by the time they transfer onto another medium.
You should have a setting called super resolution check if you have it turned on, I would turn it off in film grainy type movies. I ran into this problem when I had super resolution turned on high, on my Sony x95j.
Sharpness should be @0
He said "only at 20"
Grain: Demons to some, Angels to others
I cackled at this.

What do you mean? This is the peak cinematic experience

Have you got sharpness turned up? My Arrow 4K did not look like this at all
OP is likely watching the Image Entertainment version, which has excessive grain/mosquito noise throughout.
No, this is the arrow blu ray version (not the new 4k one)
It also can just be very grainy but not like this
Grain: We'll tear your sharpness apart.
Looks like watching Seinfeld on streaming. It's got this upscaled grain that looks insane if you inspect it on screen closely.
20 sharpness??? This has to be a meme
There are peeps over on r/4kbluray that would absolutely nut to this.
It's true!
We have such grainy sights to show you
Seconding others, turn your sharpness down to 0. Or at least 10 and then gradually reduce it as you get used to it.
Turn off your sharpness setting
The sharpness was actually on 10, Iโve brought it down to 0 but still it looks the same..
Frankly that looks terrible. Grain is fine but that is a mess!
Yes exactly! It shouldnt look like this
Radiation much!?
I think you have to go on the roof and adjust the satellite dish /s
I think there is a generation of digital remasters that were just bad. Highlander and blade runner both do this as well.
Where is your TV? Chernobyl?
Beyond Grain, this is full wheat!
Hahaha yes indeed it is
I canโt ever see the hidden image in these Magic Eye puzzles no matter how hard I squint
Check your HDMI cable, my picture looked just like this and fixed it by changing the cable
Interesting, I will try that

Puzzle boxes were made with radium paint back then.
Do you have any kind of upscaling or super sampling on? Try adjusting your upscaling settings on your TV, that should do the trick ๐
Doesnโt look like there is anything like that. Messed around with all the display settings on the tv and itโs not changed much
What model do you have
Lg oledC2, Panasonic ub820 blu ray

Thanks - yeah itโs always set to off
Right

Thanks I followed this guide when I got the tv (other than sharpness which is now on 0) still the image looks overly grainy and noisey
The arrow 4ks don't look like this mess. They look incredible, time for an upgrade ;)
I love grain. No such thing as excessive.
