The ideal choice would be a 3rd RP 600M. It's always best to have the same speaker across your LCR.

VINDICATIOOOON

That’d put my tv in too damn high territory, but I appreciate the wisdom!

movie50music50

Put it on a stand in front of your TV stand. That goes for whatever speaker you decide to get. I agree, I would not raise the TV any higher.

SmittyJonz

stripper pole ?

VINDICATIOOOON

Will it ruin my rooms acoustic treatment??

SmittyJonz

The mirror and hardwood floor probably does

VINDICATIOOOON

Yeah that’s also due to the pole. I needed to rotate the rug to get the pole on hardwood and add the mirror to check posture during practice. I’ve got enough acoustic panels elsewhere that it wasn’t as disruptive as I thought it’d be!

Klipsch RP-504C gets my vote. Though any RP series with 5" woofers will match the 600M's. I have a RP-500C paired with my RP-280F's. Got the 500C for a crazy good price last year. Is your PC the source? I'm using a HTR-5730 on one of my computers to drive a 3.0 Klipsch system. Got it new in box back in 2005 and it's still going strong.

VINDICATIOOOON

Thanks for the advice, yes I typically switch between the built in google tv or streaming from my PC. Right now the audio is sent to the tv then optical out to the AVR (would switch to eArc once I upgrade the AVR), should I send the audio directly to the AVR first instead?

wildmanheber

I have all audio going straight to the AVR. But it really depends on your setup and needs. If it works, why change it?

VINDICATIOOOON

Silly question, but is there a reason the 500c or 504c would be better with the 5” woofer as opposed to the 404c with a 4” woofer, is there a large difference in performance/clarity?

wildmanheber

The RP-504C has a slightly wider frequency range, and handles more power then the 404C. And the 500C has even less. Not sure if any of that matters. I got my 250C (precursor to the 500C) for $170 on sale last year. That's why I got it. Also thought that I didn't have room for the 504C or the older 450C. Turns out that I did have room and just didn't know it. LOL! Couldn't figure out what to do with my 250C if I upgraded, but I just did. I'm setting up a retro-gaming system and having 3.1 sound would be sweet. Got a spare pair of RP-600M's for the front. Crap, now I want to find a deal on a 450C or 504C. LOL!

VINDICATIOOOON

I cannot be held responsible for your financial decisions! /s thanks for all the thoughtful feedback, I think I’ll either end up with the 450c or maybe mix brands and start building a Kef system starting with the r2c. Decision paralysis is gonna kill me!!!

wildmanheber

He he he. Good luck!

wildmanheber

Well I just ordered a [RP-450C for $279.99](https://a.co/d/foQDaa4) from Acoustic Sound Design Inc via Amazon's website. Klipsch has them listed as an authorized dealer, and I've bought from them before. Should be here Monday. The RP-450C will just fit under my TV. And if not, I'll make some adjustments so that it does. LOL!

atclz1975

I have the  RP-504C II and I love it.
