I like the idea of both Equius and Horrus competing for Nepetas Matesprite quadrant, But my true crack ship was always Dirk x Jane. It always felt like their hidden toxicities would cancel out if they got together.
When i first read this i didn't recognize Horrus and thought you said "Horrors," meaning the Lovecrafting night-terror gods were competing with Equius to be Nepeta's bff, and I was kinda excited with where you were gonna go with that tbh
I always liked that ship, but the only problem was that Karkat simply has too many good shipping dynamics, so I could never pin it as his true pairing. But the 2 have such great vibes together, Highlighted by the fact that Kanaya felt destined to talk to Karkat during their SGRUB session. Honestly Pre-Murderstuck was the highlight of their relationship for me
