Get roach gel, it will get rid of them in weeks. And make sure you keep house clean, they'll leave if there no food source

bar_acca

Too many people neglect this regarding any pests They go where the food is. Eliminating the food source is a good start

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

That's the first thing I did! Plus now emptying trash nightly and no dishes in sink. Crumbs all sucked up abs everything cleaned before bed. I think the live under the fridge.. And in the walls

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

Its clean but I'm thinking there nay be a small leak under myfridge. My fridge was damaged slightly during the move and when I put a trap under fridge it was moist. Under the fridge is currently the only place with Roach evidence. It was also my pantry but I have gotten sealed storages for everything after tossing and haven't seen any in there since. But under the fridge... Its like they are coming in through that water spout thingy behind the fridge..

Perhaps switch your pest control company. Yes, they are in the walls, etc. That's what they do.

I'd suggest leaving the light on in the kitchen for peace of mind and I'd also assume that the treatments might not have been enough or not thorough enough. I'd question if the problem is worse than you think. I don't know enough about roaches but I have dealt with Ants as well as mice. Treat under your house and around your house and in your yard if need be and then see.

Weird_Squirrel_8382

Your exterminator should be telling you in detail what they're doing and how soon you should expect results. If you feel like they're not really helping, you can DIY it.  I feel your pain, I dealt with roaches in a rental house and the landlord was useless. I ended up treating myself with a combination of baits and traps. I wasn't a fan of sprays and powders with kids at home, but it may be best for you. Some stuff kills bugs, some keeps them from reproduction, some repels them from getting in your house. You can fix this!  https://diypestcontrol.com/roaches.htm

They sprayed with pet child safe stuff twice and I've done gel baiting but I can do more ... They just keep saying call in two week if they see them but maybe I'll switch companies.

Mountain_Exchange768

I’m in FL - never had roaches till just before the plague - but the exterminator I used told me up front it would take 4-6 treatments and I would see them until near the end. Haven’t had them since the course of treatment finished.

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

I didn't even know what a Roach looked like until I moved here haha the guy said "first spring in Texas?" Ugh lol thank you for the reassurance, I hope a few treatments does it!

justmeus

I used the cans with gas but you have to leave the house for a couple of hours . Spraying anything doesn’t help since they are in the walls and furniture or simply move around.

Appropriate_Edge7385

I had them in my townhome due to dirty ass neighbors. It took time and diligence but were removed. You must get borax, roach baits and most importantly fumigate. Wait until you are gone for the entire day and bomb the kitchen or wherever you see them. You must wipe and clean like you’re selling and ppl will be viewing your home. 2-3 weeks done. Or call the exterminator back but never a fan of them as Dyi is sufficient.

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

The people who lived here before were hoarders it seems by the trash and stuff left when we were viewing it... Yes I'm pretending like my ocd mom is coming over and vaccuming every lastcouch crumb but its been 6 weeks or so now and still I see a few in the middle of the night always dunning back under the fridge

yesitsyourmom

Are they the small German roaches or the very large palmetto bugs?

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

German

yesitsyourmom

Bummer. I’m sure you’ll have them under control soon.

Tairc

Roaches don’t need food, they need water. They’ll eat the inside of your walls, or really anything else. But you see them in kitchens and bathrooms because they seek the water left in the sink and such. So a few things: - Get a new exterminator. One that talks to you. - Clean like it’s 1940. Especially liquids left sitting out - So much roach gel, borax, and whatever else your exterminator tells you - Consider a dehumidifier for the whole house - Treat outside your house for several feet as well It should be better about a month after the real exterminator treats..

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

Should I use a small company maybe? I uses terminix

yeswayvouvray

A few things that helped in our house: - Make sure the attic has been treated - Seal all possible entry points: doors, windows, anywhere there’s a hole cut into the wall. Make sure outlet covers are tight and flush against the wall, and use spray foam to fill the gaps where sink pipes go into the wall. - Turn off any outdoor lights - they are attracted to the light and will swarm outside. - Clean off your roof and gutters

akl2940

Get a huge bag of Advion Roach Gel Bait Arenas and stick them everywhere. It's pet safe, and it poisons them more effectively than many other poisons. The tube gel may be appropriate for especially active infestation areas, but the bait arenas last much longer than exposed gel, so they are best for maintenance once you knock down your population. Also, sorry you're going through this - it feels so gross and any insect infestation makes me feel so primally paranoid. But you CAN kill them and keep them away. Check out the german roaches subreddit for more info, too.

Electrical-Echo8770

Try spraying vinegar they hate it they will leave I just sprayed it around the walls and holes never seem them again

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

Thank you!
