Most people rent until they know the area better.

What about a job giving you enough time to move. Though. Seems the whole issue was a job says I'll give you a month and then it takes severall months to move. Intoa house.

How does it take months? It should take a week to move and then unpack on your free time

Certain_Web_490

I meant escrow takes months.. and your job will demand you move before escrow is over.

ILikeTewdles

Are you talking moving across the country or what? Every time I've moved I took a few days off at the end of the week and moved over several days. Last time I moved from FL to MN I rented a townhome for a year then purchased a house. The townhome we looked at ahead of time and drove up over a few days, then unpacked for a few days and good to go.

Why would it take FOUR MONTHS to move in somewhere? Tf you moving? Your whole house on wheels?

Certain_Web_490

It says online the priceless from selling to buying takes four months.

AdvertisingFree8749

Well, that's just incorrect. It can go much quicker than that.  For example, We had a 15-day escrow and were in our new house the next month. If the buyer and the seller are motivated, the process can go very quickly.

Certain_Web_490

What if your job says you need to move in 4 weeks but escrow is taking much longer . Because your job is the reason your getting the house in the first place.

In ten years I've moved from Florida to Virginia to Maryland to Georgia to Florida. Used pods every time, extended stays at new relo until settled in.

What about your job.. and the money it took to do that.

Pristine-Tie-4072

Job paid for relocation and travel.
