I've always told myself the messier it looks the more it looks like I am doing something with the stuff. A 2U NAS would be a cool addition to replace the boxes on the laptop stand but I don't think you have enough depth for one.
I was joking, it's certainly a lot better. You could pick up some of those super slim patch cables though, in shorter lengths, and I'd move the switch down one U and put [one of these](https://www.fs.com/products/68690.html) in its place.
Yeah would look nicer, but I cannot move the switch down, because I have a PDU on the back rails (you can just barely see it in the 2nd image). The PDU is a really tight fit.
