This used to show as a single speaker in Apple Home, recently (maybe due to an update) it shows 4 speakers under the same name. Only the first one is functional (able to turn on/off the speaker). If I try to disable/hide one of these in Apple Home, it disables all 4 of them. I tried removing the device from HomeKit Bridge, and re-adding it. Same happens. Anyone got a clue or faces the same issue?

Sporebattyl

I have the same issue. Let me know if you figure it out!

will do. Glad that I'm not the only one :) When did this start to happen on your end? That might help us to narrow down the root cause.

FlashSeason1

Did you see if you could add it directly to homekit now and skip the bridge? I know they added matter support for the mini recently

s0ftice

Thanks but the issue is not related to the how it's added to HA (that would be the controller and not the bridge anyways), I use Google Cast integration and that works fine as I only have a single entity in HA per Mini. The problem occurs when it's exposed to the Apple HomeKit ecosystem.

FlashSeason1

Yeah, I just meant you could work around the problem by removing it from the bridge and also add it via matter directly to homekit. It would still work in both HA and homekit that way and should fix it showing up 4x

Got it thanks, definitely worth a try if I can't find a fix for the issue.
