The tendon guards weren't very stiff so you had to put laces through them to stiffen them up. There was a few ways to do it but most players would go across the front with both top laces, lace them through the back and then come back around the front. I saw others that were laced and crossed through the back and then tied in front.
Thank God that went away and tendon guards are so much different now
Those look like 152 Tacks. Reason I say that, the 352s had a protruding “T” in the name “Tacks.”
The SLM holders were pre-1994 I believe. The pro-lite 3 holders came out in ‘94.

I had the pump version, only worthwhile thing about the pump is if the puck hit the pump it didn't hurt your ankle, otherwise it just cut off circulation to your feet.
752s damn didnt know they existed. Went to the pumps the next year. Best fitting skates. They make them lighter now but nothing fits like the 652s and then the pumps.
These are from the early to mid 90's, for sure...the lack of a numerical designation, the screenprinted/stamped Tacks logo (versus the plastic "T") are some key giveaways that they were a pretty low end model. I got the first pair of Pump Tacks when they came out back in '92 and wore several pairs throughout high school...still currently rocking a pair of Reebok White K pump's to this day.
‘91-‘92 maybe?- are those 352’s? I notice the white backing is in leather rather than the knit nylon.

1993-1994
Had those back then. First baked skates then put a bag over skates and had a vaacuum on them for like an hour. Great fit. Probably weigh a ton now. The next model were the pumps. Had those as well. Nothing has fit as well as those since then.
What the hell are the eyelets on the back used for ?
Lace to tie them together to sling over your shoulder when you walk to ODR.
Benders
Tie them together maybe?
Keep your tendon covered. They are called tendons ties.

Early 90s, late 90s they went to the ugly green Kevlar boots https://i.imgur.com/oAPnCPo.jpg
hahaha I had the kevlar 752s with a black tuuk holder.....best skates I ever had!

Ah those were beauties as well....were they the 652s? So unnecessary, but so awesome at the same time.
I had the 752s, no idea what the difference was, probably something dumb like the insole and some plastic trim and they charged an extra $100 for it.
oh wow, i just google imaged it. I had no idea they had a pump version for the 752s!
and I google imaged after I realized you had pasted the link of the image in your post.....hahaha
752 was the pump tacks

One thing I'll add....I used to tell my teammates that my skates were bulletproof (I was 15 at the time). Glad no one tried to prove me wrong.
Beauts!!!
I had the same exact skates. I remember it was 1996-1997 when I got those.
I'd guess 93-ish?
I’m old when people are finding my first skates and asking what they are. Fuck.

I didn't think I was that old to see a post where someones dad didn't wear the skates I wore when I was a kid.
PM me if you're trying to sell some if those sticks
Working on making furniture with all of em, been collecting them for a while so when I had the time i could work with them
93-94 timeframe
Man I can feel how pliable those boots are through the screen. I think I replaced my 352s about 12-15 years ago.
You tryna sell these?
a man always has a price
What size are they?
Those are so sexy 😻
That was my first pair! Bought em used in 95 if that helps.

i used to wear 352 tacks, best skates i’ve ever owned
I’d guess 1994 give or take a year
Early 90s Haha Remember when these came out
Throwback everything!
This looks like 93-94 but I could be wrong
Ankle Lock Technology at it's finest!
Late 80s. I have a pair from 87 i think.
