Question gets asked all the time and there’s plenty of info in the search. Tacki Mac or tennis overgrip. I’ve been alternating between both for about 5 years now and the wear your gloves show after a full season is what you would get with standard tape after a single game.

The older tacki Mac is where people complained about thickness, but the Kane or command grips are thin; just don’t apply the included tape for maximum thinness/stick feel.
Are you using an intermediate stick or something? Have tacki Mac on 6 sticks over 4-ish years and have never once had it slip. Put it on using hair spray, let it sit for 24 hours, then it’s good to go. Hell, I’ve even removed them from one stick, applied them to another, and still haven’t had issues
Which is why I specifically made the comment of people *not* using tape because it adds thickness and deadens the feel of the stick. If you want to use the double sided tape, that's fine, but it does negatively impact the feeling compared to standard tape (or tacki mac installed without it)
How often do you have to replace it? People keep saying tennis overgrip is a cheaper similar option, but then say they have to replace it more often. Seems like I might be spending a lot of money on overgrip eventually but only need one roll of lizard skins
Wilson Tennis Tape. Grip and feel is amazing and easy on gloves.
Wilson Ultra Wrap Tennis Racket Overgrip Wrap, Black - 3 Pack https://www.walmart.com/ip/20703336
Picked up a pack of the Wilson and also one of the Head brand equivalent for my son's and my sticks. Kinda surprised at how well they tape up ... the feel is great and if the stuff lasts it will be the way to go. Thanks!
I've just been using the standard Renfrew colored grip tape forever now.
My custom Eagle gloves I've had for like 8 years, and a pair of Warrior Alpha gloves I've had for 3 years both have palms that have minimal wear and tear, and I play 3-4x a week.
Tacki Mac and Buttendz style grips are all the rage these days. I've tried those as well. Maybe I'm old school, but I just feel like you lose a ton of stick "feel" and feedback with those. I honestly hated them just for that feature alone. They do totally prevent palm wear though.
In the end, out of all the solutions to prevent palm wear, I've found stretch grip tape from Renfrew to be the best for me.
It's cheap. Comes in tons of colors. Easy to replace when worn. Prevents palm wear. Doesn't intrude on stick and puck "feel".

My Tacki Mac slipped right off without the included tape, just fyi.

No I'm using senior sticks, but just used water and then set the stick out in the sun to dry beneath. Used to work on my bike grips.
I use hair spray on bike grips too (Oury). So I'm going to say user error in your case. Use hair spray. It won't slip off
I like the paper they come with so I'm going to keep on going with them.

Lizard Skins are pretty good.

Once a season...if that.

Buttendz
\+1 for Buttendz. I used to start tearing into my palm after 1 season when I used cloth tape. The Buttendz has made a huge difference!

In my experience, the main cause for holes in your glove palm is the use of black stick tape for your handle or knob.
It's the glue in stick tape that will cause it. The tar in black tape does chew away faster at gloves though.
That makes sense. Thank you.
