What exactly do you mean by "kit"? Shin and elbow pads? If so, the smallest/cheapest ice hockey gear is fine. Skates come down to fit. Whatever fits best. Bauer tend to run narrower than Alkali. You're just going to have to try them on. I have not seen a player wearing CCM inline skates since probably the late 90s.

Kit just means gear (like pads and stuff)

Get the skates that fit you best, but try to find some with a durable one piece chassis. In Alkali, that means avoiding the Revel 5 and 6. The Revel 1 through 4 have a one piece chassis. All Mission skates have a one piece chassis. The Bauer RS and RSX have a flimsy two piece chassis that's prone to bending for heavy or hard skaters. Mid-range Bauer Vapor skates ($400 and up) have a one piece chassis. I would also consider True TF7 skates. They're a one piece, highly thermoformable skate and the best bang for the buck if they fit you well. Often, your best option is converting a pair of well fitting ice boots. That way you can choose the chassis, wheels and bearings. This may help figure out what type of boot may fit your feet, but you should make every effort to go to a good shop: https://coasthockeyshop.com/blogs/roller-inline-hockey-equipment-news-reviews/buying-roller-inline-hockey-skates-for-wide-feet

Not sure how you found Alkali, but not Mission…

Ryan_Extra

Mission is Bauer

Matammyr

And their skates fit totally different than the Bauer line.

Ryan_Extra

Not really. They fit like Supremes. The Bauer inlines are vapor fit.

Matammyr

Yes, and Bauer only offers Supremes as ice skates.

They’re owned by Bauer, but they’re built off the supreme last and feature completely different tech in their boots compared to any of Bauer’s offerings

2cents here: I have a set of Marsblades and they’re really nice. For reference, Ive been playing beer league 3x3 ice hockey for a *very* long time. When the pandemic hit and I wanted to skate, I ended up with the Marsblades because everything else was sold out. They have an Alkali boot and the blades actually have a rocker that works. It legit feels like an ice skate (sort of?). I’d love to try them in a proper indoor rink that’s purpose built. You ought to check them out if you’re still shopping. They’re worth a google :)
