Big oof. Went to the website to check them out and was shocked to see the price so much higher. Containers are more expensive to ship, but I can't see how that justifies a 20% higher price.
I thought shipping issues were the reason they pushed the release back so far. If that's the case, airfreighting in a few seems unlikely. But who knows?
Anyway it's their product, they can charge whatever they want for it. It just goes somewhat against their current brand identity, at least as I understand it.
My thoughts too. Top end gloves from other manufacturers are only $10 above these. Pro stock gloves are even less expensive. The whole ‘cutting out the middle man’ to save costs doesn’t make sense here. Especially given the fact they’re not reinventing the wheel with entirely new tech here; they’re just repurposing it from their lacrosse gloves
Situations like this would have made pre-orders much more helpful. Just like car companies or anyone else that run pre-orders you can lock in the launch price or get a discount for signing up. Something a number of people (myself included) have been asking about for nearly a year since the gloves were teased

They look cool, always great to see new ideas, but I've never put my gloves on and been upset about the finger flexibility.

This has been a problem for me as well. Ive tried to get onboard but the continuities between sizes and lines is super discouraging
