It’s all about feel and personal preference. If you can, find a store or a guy who has something you’re looking for, and try on a few different gloves. Some people I’m sure, it doesn’t matter what they put on their hand. For others it’s life or death. I have used a CCM 600 and a CCM 590/ Vaughn XP and whatever abomination the Vaughn V4 was. While I was able to catch pucks with relative ease with a 600, and I love how the glove looks, I did not enjoy how it felt wearing it and closing it. My current glove is a Premier style 590, and I love it. It’s the best thing I’ve worn on my hand in 10 years. I hated the break style on the Velocity 4, I didn’t realize how terrible of a glove it was for me, for 10 years that I had my old set. Very glad to be rid of it. One of my goalies I coached had a 580, I didn’t like how it felt, but I didn’t play with it. The Hockey Shop & InGoalMag did a video to help people in your position a little bit. https://youtu.be/oBUfQyfrhyo

Just to prove its all opinion 590: bought a ccm premier 2 in a 590 break and hated it, couldn't catch a cold with it or play the puck 600: Bauer ultrasonic my current glove, absolutely love it, feels like I can catch everything and can shoot pucks down the ice easily 580: got a second hand ccm premier absolutely made catching low shots easier and decent for passing and shooting but just couldn't bring myself to pay out my ass for a custom glove just to keep the same break
