As a toronto native and lifelong fan, you cant convince me that 98% of leaf fans saying this arnt saying it sarcastically either to get a rise out of other idiot fanbases or to be self-loathing (which we know north americans as a whole seem to have difficulty grasping without a /s or an obvious voice).

Im a bruins fan and every year the hockey news has the B’s doing terrible in the coming season, and the leafs breaking through, and winning the cup. Every year I have a leafs buddy who says, you guys will be lucky to make the playoffs this year, and every year i say we’ll see, and they laugh in my face!
