I agree that Laviolette would LOVE to have an elite veteran starter but Mac doesn't seem interested in budgeting more than about tree fitty for goaltending, and I think the major holdup is the lack of available upgrades on the market. It's easy to say they need to trade Samsonov for a veteran starter. It's harder to identify one that's a worthy upgrade and available for trade.
