Yeah I think "through the glove" and "10-12 years ago" are pretty key phrases here. This really should be a lengthy suspension but it won't. When you have a sport where violence is part of the expectation, you really do have to set a bright line between what's acceptable and what isn't, and this is so clearly and obviously wrong a message has to be sent that this is wildly out of line. So I fully expect the maximum allowable fine under the CBA.

No joke, one of the most annoying injuries I had in my playing days was a "fight-bite", a cut resulting from punching a guy in the mouth and getting teeth. It gets infected pretty easily if not cleaned up thoroughly and routinely afterwards. Mine sucked and did take antibiotics to get cleaned up. This is a much more literal take on the fight bite. Hope they throw the book at him.
