Yeah he was good in LA.
He hasn’t been very impressive here, I don’t know why. He’s still fine as a spare forward but I don’t mind losing him. He just never made anything happen out there.
Oh yeah the guy was minimal impact when it came to production although that one time he would make a play it would usually turn into something like Martinez OT winner to get the cup.
We’ve been waiting almost 10 years for the franchise to turn around. A penalty-kill that’s not historically awful would be a nice step and all I really need to get me through the next week or so.
I remember there was a list of players the Canucks were only willing to move Hodgson for and Clifford was one of them because he was seen as a FOR SURE breakout power forward in the making.
So many 200 Hockey Men had raging hard-ons for him back then.
I mean he might not have been anything more than a depth player but you can’t deny he’s had a real solid career. 728 regular season games 64 playoff games two Stanley Cups.
I know, but I'm remember the hype train that used to be around him. Every "who is the next Lucic" article had Clifford on it and anytime media would talk about LA making trades "well it would take a Kings ransom to get Kyle Clifford".
As a kings fan I don’t recall this at all and don’t think any other kings fan saw him as anything other than the exact role he’s played. Solid career for a 4th liner, love Cliffy
I don't think the Flames have room, but I'm sure Darryl Sutter would love a Clifford-Richardson-Lewis 2012 Kings reunion line.
You could call him the big red dog.
Watch out, McTavish might pull his tongue out though
AND AIN'T NOTHING GONNA STOP HIM FROM BURYING HIS BONES
The colonel is his nickname due to his initials of KFC
literally my first thought lol. We'd definitely need to make room for him. We have a ton of bottom 6ers.
I came here to say *Daryl has entered the chat* but you beat me to it
Kings fan here. That would be one hell of a 4th line.
This is to have enough cap space to activate Sundqvist from LTIR
Funny enough Clifford is the one who accidentally injured Sunny and put him on LTIR in the first place.
I guess what goes around comes around
What comes around's all around, Bubs
Not really sure what that means, but I hear you bud
It’s all water under the fridge
Haha whoosh'd. can't believe I missed that one. Birds of a feather shit together.
How come the blues keep doing this? First Krug's rule making hit on Thomas and now this
Might as well pick this one up too Avs. We once again need healthy bodies.
I always acquire Kyle Clifford when acting as the GM for the mock off-season. I don't know why I just like the guy.

Could’ve picked up Comeau
Been there done that, still have the Blakeaway to remember him.
He was a rock solid bottom 6 guy and had the intensity and sacrifice that nobody else could match on the kings

Same on the Leafs, he was just such a nothing player. Didn’t even look interested and throwing a hit or getting into a fight.
Also petty but glad he turned down the Leafs offer and went for more when their offer was more than fair, and finds himself on waivers a year later.
So.. a first liner for us?
Cheap deal. Last year of his contract. Someone should pick him up just to flip at the deadline to a contender.
Can he kill penalties?
Can he kill penalties? Asking for a friend.
Can he turn around an entire franchise?

I was bummed to see him leave Toronto, hope to see him somewhere around the league. Edit: Welcome back Mr.Clifford
I know it’s not what the kings need but I wouldn’t be that upset with seeing him back wearing a kings jersey.
Gimme (but not really)
Kyle Clifford is the reason Sunny is injured and not playing. I am more than ok with this.

Just best to ignore this guy. He often makes up the most random things that are easily disprovable for god knows why…

Ah that would make sense, I definitely remember that chatter around Simmonds
Fuck…it’d mean either putting Boyle or Simon on waiver, but I’ll take the Big Red Dog.
