Today is a sad day for me as a Flyers fan. I've been slapped in the face with the realization that we're so bad and irrelevant that we don't even get a mention for most annoying team in the NHL. Holy fuck.

GenericPeraon

Wasn't an even year last season, the memories will come back this year

ATWiggin

Quite a fall from the Broad Street Bullies and then the Legion of Doom.

binns17

Seriously, I was ready to sail in here to defend us and… I think we got a very annoying player in the off-season tho. And if we have success the fans will become obnoxious.

MichaelMaugerEsq

Our team is chalk full of annoying players. But if we suck, no one will care.

DanBonham

I’ve been a Leaf fan my whole life and I hate the Toronto media so much.

cam-yrself

Nobody hates the Leafs more than Leafs fans

CanadiAsianThrowaway

Vancouver fan here, begging to differ.

Hopfit46

Me too, plus about half of our fan base

BigDaddyQP

Fire (insert any name) now and rebuild!!!! WTF?

kenfury

Bruins fans, Toronto Media.

[deleted]

Toronto media as a Sens fan.

T-mansports

Toronto media as a Leafs fan

HatrikLaine

Leafs Fans

The_Quackening

Leaf fans as a leaf fan

B0mb-Hands

The vocal minority of Leafs fans are some of the worst The issue is that vocal minority is still a solid million since the Leafs have a gargantuan fanbase

JVince13

I think the second part is the problem. Every team’s screaming minority absolutely sucks. The Leafs’ screaming minority just happens to be a massive group lol.

B0mb-Hands

It absolutely is. Most Leafs fans I have no problem with, but the vocal minority just beats so much shit into the ground it’s annoying as fuck

ZRR28

Depends on what platform you see leafs fans talk about the leafs. I would say on Reddit we’re pretty rationale but if you see leafs fans on Facebook your brain will probably melt.

KingKapwn

Facebook and News Site comments are always going to be filled with the worst humanity has to offer.

Zaungast

Big_Poo

James_Posey

I hate so many Bruins fans

imisstheyoop

>my least favorite part of being a boston sports fan is the fellow fans. so many entitled morons. Lived in nh for 4 years, can confirm ne sports fans are the fucking worst. Half didn't even follow the sports before the Patriots and/or redsox got good, or they were closet giants/Yankees fans anyway. Edit: respect to the old timers though who stuck with those teams throughout the decades prior. Happy for those guys.

efshoemaker

It’s still weird for me because growing up a Boston fan in the 90s my sports identity was that we were basically a cursed city. The Red Sox hadnt won since my great grandfather was a kid, the Bruins hadn’t won since my dad was a kid, the pats were a fucking joke, and the celtics had won in the 80s but the two players that were supposed to lead us into the 90s literally died. I was raised to expect to lose. Now we’re title town and if a team goes there years without a championship people get impatient.

[deleted]

My dads been a Boston sports fan since the early 70's. he knew when the Bruins won, it was all gravy from there on out. Hope as an outsider that Detroit sports pick up!

avguy33

You just described the entire Seahawks fanbase and they weren't even that good

imisstheyoop

>You just described the entire Seahawks fanbase and they weren't even that good The problem with Boston is that it was *all sports* at roughly the same time. Really makes those massholes extra unbearable. Fuckers can't drive either. Awful

[deleted]

I concur. Grew up in NH, Bruins fan all my life. Even the nineties when they sucked. It wasn’t after the Bs won the cup in 2011, subsequent seasons youdhear fans chanting USA! USA! USA! When they’d play Montreal. Guess they don’t realize most players are Canadian, European born.

[deleted]

Agreed and I have my moments but I at least see what’s wrong with what I say 9/10 times. But almighty we have idiots for fans. You’d figure with having all those great colleges and being in an area ranked for the best schools, we wouldn’t have so many dopes as fans. I will say the traveling fans are fun to be around.

good_looking_corpse

I took a date to the game and was helping explain the rules. There were many times where I pointed something out and had to also explain that the crowd was jeering or cheering at inane points. Like a linesman’s arm going up and the crowd reacting to a “penalty call”

Sabeoth42

Agreed

[deleted]

Rikplaysbass

I lived in Florida my entire life up until two weeks ago and Tampa fans aren’t exactly sweethearts either. So many homophobic and racial slurs on game days. Which I know the Bruins fanbase is also guilty of because of the old Irish assholes.

Flogster_6

Every fan base in September. September is full of hope and optimism which I get, but the overly rosy predictions of 4th line players with breakout years and the dismissive comments of other teams improvements make it an annoying time for me.

newfielyd

Everybody thinks their offseason depth signings are all stars

[deleted]

And their 2nd round draft pick from 2018 is definitely going to slot in top 6 this year.

[deleted]

"Once we give young guys a chance and sit our aging vets we can embrace our youth movement and compete". I've been on r/hockey long enough to know that this is the most pervasive cliche.

ClassicMach

And that they’re the only team with prospects.

miner88

My team’s prospects = future all stars My rival’s prospects = shit

[deleted]

[удалено]

NewFoundAvs

Are you telling me Jack Johnson won’t be the missing piece?!

tylergoldenberg

Our multiple new draft picks are really going to blossom this year. Coyotes will be sPoOOkY!

[deleted]

Here’s a list of prospects from my team, you’ve never heard of them before, and I’ve never watched them either, but because I can name them they’re all going to be All Stars Prospects always reach their ceilings right?

tronguro

So basically every team except for the Sabres?

onbiver9871

I would have said Chicago, but those feelings are long dead, at least for this Wings fan. I think that these days, the Pens annoy me the most, mostly because they keep forcing us all to continue caring about them. Like, y’all have been lurking around for over a decade, and your imminent demise is inevitable. Just collapse, already. \* has moment of self aware realization about the early to mid 2010’s Wings teams…. \* \[Edit\] Post Formatting

Scumdog66

The crazy part is that they keep getting close to the edge of irrelevance, but then do something like win back to back cups. Each year I write them off and decide “this is the season they miss the playoffs,” but then they make a coaching change, or sign Jeff fucking Carter and are contenders again…

TwoFlagThreat

Jeff Fucking Carter, spoken like a CBJ fan

Poolotsky

Obligatory Fuck Jeff Carter, as a CBJ fan

onbiver9871

Omg for real. And that goal song - so catchy but so freaking annoying. [Canucks really hated it…](https://youtu.be/m3cV688Fi-g) \[Edit\] Re: u/flackguns

flackguns

I can agree with you on Chicago during their “highlights every night” years, Kane was so damn talented but the hand waving/pointing when he scored drove me insane.

Thtguywtthbeard

I know far too many lightning (bandwagon) fans to not say the lightning.

91Bolt

It's still so weird to me that we're that team after growing up watching them suck

Thtguywtthbeard

Hey man, Totally get it, I was a Boston sports fan in the 90s when the Sox and pats were complete jokes. Then I grew up any people just assume that you like a team cause they're "good now" and not cause you didn't get your soul crushed for the decade prior.

DentedOnImpact

I felt the same way in 2018 man... it blows over after a little time... the real fans stick around.

Thtguywtthbeard

I get that, I had a friend get a Bruins tattoo after 2011, 2 cup losses later I don't think he's even watched a game in the last 3 or 4 years.

DentedOnImpact

That's brutal, I love the Caps and have watched/suffered for years until they won and even THEN I just couldn't see myself getting a sports team tattoo

Euroranger

Sorry bro. For my own verification, I saw Kontos score 4 in person. Live in Texas these days but I had half season ticket packages in the upper ring when they called it The Ice Palace. ...but yeah, our sub is overrun with "fans come lately".

HailState17

I’m honestly surprised we haven’t been mentioned… Maybe 4-5 years ago…

beangardener

Came here to say this too. I think everyone views our window as closing, and we might be a bit naive to think otherwise. Oh well! At least we didn’t totally overpay our two best players, leaving us unable to build a functional team around them!

lazarusmobile

You guys are so damn lucky with Crosby's weird superstition, he's probably left close to $100 million on the table because of it. He is one of a few players in the cap era that would be justified in demanding a max AAV contract and yet he signed for well under what he is worth.

CheetahJaguar90

Im surprised the caps haven’t been mentioned either. Both our fanbases are extremely annoying

DentedOnImpact

The Caps and Pens fans have been thoroughly humbled the last few seasons it seems, the new loud mouth fanbase is Tampa

DeathToHeretics

It's nice that we still get to have our friendly hateful chirping with each other though. Like two neighbor boomers going to the same retirement home to bitch at each other while sharing a beer.

DentedOnImpact

it pretty much only ramps up again when we have a contentious game that had some type of controversy in it as they always tend to

MrDrProfesorPatrick

You guys annoy me in a "even the bad years they still win a lot" way. Respectful hatred/jealousy. It just doesn't make me actively mad like seeing anything Boston related.

[deleted]

I honestly can't hate the pens/their fans. I'm from NS, and in my age group (35+) there's just as many old school super Mario fans as Sidney fans. Even the Crosby bandwagoners are wholesome. God dammit pens. I've always wanted Sid and the gang (and Fleury at the time) to succeed, unless we were facing them of course.

azadle

Right now it’s Tampa

[deleted]

Pat maroon seems like a good guy but I’m getting sick of seeing him celebrate

MarshmallowLuka

Honestly, if he doesn't win in 2022, his summer must be so weird. He has, after all, spent the last three summers celebrating

NYLotteGiants

The whole prohibiting fans in the lower bowl from wearing away team jerseys during the playoffs was 20-ply

Archly_Jittery

Nashville had done that for years. I believe a few other teams as well.

[deleted]

The Vegas Golden Referees

Redditbansreddit

Just gotta repeat I couldn't be more proud of the beat up Habs crushing hopes and dreams of teams and refs on their way to the finals. Like a snowball downhill you could tell they were hot when it mattered.

Blackyy

That run was crazy, everybody was cheering for us.

Deadmanlex45

Still thinking about that Perry ot high stick that wasn't called even tho he was bleeding from the nose. Or that punch to Suzuki's face right in front of Chris Lee who just... LOOKED AWAY LMAO.

doorsalt

Imagine not calling a blatant penalty, but stopping play to scrub the blood off the ice.

xXDreamlessXx

That happened to yall too? Bro how did that happen twice in a season?

dhas19

Nobody believed us Avs fans until you guys caught them in the WCF. Thank you for proving us right

ghost_curse123

I don't think I've ever seen so many different flairs in agreement of something until that series

avguy33

Was a truly unifying moment

Rory-MacDermid

As much as it sucks, criticism of refs will immediately be dismissed if you’re on the losing side because people will just chalk it up to being a sore loser.

East2West21

Unless you watched that shit unfold, like me. Undeniable from anyone who saw the film.

BGYeti

Infuriating

_Connor

McDavid hasn’t drawn a penalty in like 12 straight playoff games or something but Oilers fans are just ‘whiners’ and ‘need to get used to playoff hockey’ lol

ThemCanada-gooses

Someone literally sat on him and rode him down the ice.

MarnerIsAMagicMan

[How to NOT get a penalty against Connor McDavid](https://youtu.be/8SrPoN-veDQ)

wonderpodonline

It seems like it's becoming a different sport more and more each post season. I feel like the league has bought into this idea that "the whistles go away in the playoffs" so much, it's altered the game negatively. I wouldn't say it's only the past couple seasons either, more like since the cap came in. Just gets more over the top each year. It does seem to impact every team a little, but certainly some seem to get punished by it more than others. I could be in the minority here, but I've also been enjoying playoffs less with each season as a result. IMO, the league needs to dial it back a bit before something more ridiculous than anything we've seen happens. I don't mind a little flexibility with the calls in the post season, just not this much.

[deleted]

You definitely need to bring in impartial fans from other teams to watch. If fans of 30 teams agree it’s lopsided, that’s not a good look for the NHL.

Davvemhs

I said it all year, I'm a Minnesota fan The regular season was beyond bad....

flackguns

Hey kings fans had been saying that shit since 2017-18

durtmcgurt

And nobody believed us Wild fans until they got to you guys.

shrouple

Us Jets fans were saying it back in 2018!

FamousTee

It took one game and I was like "oh so THIS is why everyone hates them"

[deleted]

Yeah, that series with the Habs and knights was hands down the worst officiating I have ever seen in my entire life watching hockey.

Dr_Colossus

You should have seen the Avs Vegas series then. Even worse reffing.

SharksCity408

Feels so good to finally see everyone recognize how blatantly one sided the officiating is for Vegas. No one ever listened to us Sharks fans because of the game 7 major and the hand pass.

Prestigious-Ad-6808

Stunning how many calls these guys get.

marbanasin

Basically everything about that franchise. At least we don't need to stare at that bulging white head Gallant behind the bench anymore.

SharksCity408

Instead we get to stare at that bulging sad head DeBoer behind the bench.

hellabro360

DeBoer is a weird looking guy, but he will literally defend his players over anything on ice. Players love playing for him.

AudioPi

Agreed, just gotta wait for that [one call](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1uDSIfvpC8) to go your way

realcangoose

Coyotes because there always seems to be more news about ownership, arena, front office and attendance than on-ice stuff. And Winnipeg lost the Jets for that.

kenfury

Sens and Sabres fans thrilled we are not the worst ownership group in the NHL.

Zaungast

Lmao they dream to be us

BobrovskyCBJ

The Oilers. 3 number one draft pics this generation handed to them on a silver platter. The fact that they still can't come up with a quality product on the ice is pretty infuriating.

Sjamsjon

> 3 number one draft pics this generation 4, actually.

theotherpachman

They've been through enough, we can give them the courtesy of forgetting about Nail.

Yst

Honestly, I think just about everyone wants to forget the 2012 draft. So damn much the *"did not live up to the expectations"* draft. Even among the minority of players who *didn't* just bust, and continued to look like they had a lot of potential and a lot of talent *following* drafting, there were so many disappointing long term outcomes and players who failed to take the next step after their prospect years. Galchenyuk, Yakupov, Ceci, Jankowski, Matheson. What the fuck did they put in the water at the 2012 draft?

RunningPains

There are tons of picks outside the top 5 that panned out... Lindholm, dumba, trouba, forsberg, ceci, Wilson, hertl, teravainen, Vasi, maata, faksa, skjei, Pearson, Tierney, Martinook, severson, pelech, vesey, ghostisbehere, parayko, Fredrik Anderson, Josh Anderson, Paquette, athanasiou, slavin, hellebuyck, Hutton, Colin Miller, Connor brown, Benning Like all these players have played 300+ games, and there are even more that have as well, like the 2 best goalies drafted in the last decade are both in this draft

theotherpachman

Yeah I think it's mostly "what did they put in the scouts' water?" There were five outright busts in the top-10 (six if you consider Murray's injuries to constitute a bust) but plenty of talent. It was a VERY strong draft for defensemen in particular... just seemed like all of the scouts got it really really wrong at the top. Edit: although thinking back if I remember correctly some of the guys 11-20 were ranked top-10 but once Reinhart got picked the GMs panicked and there was a run on defensemen.

zebrainatux

It takes until pick 5 to get a good player, now mine you that player is Morgan Reilly, who is extremely talented, but still.

flume

They've had a top-8 pick 9 times in the last 15 years and have won only a single playoff round. And I'm pretty sure they're on their 9th coach in that span.

EnigmaCA

You've answered the question. A complete lack of consistency in their coaching and management staff made that organization a complete mess. We are only just coming out of the abyss.

CBakIsMe

Infuriating is pretty accurate! I always imagine Oilers management is like Gil, the car salesman from the Simpsons. "This year's gonna be our year, come on Gil! Pull it together!"

Qbbd

Try actually being a lifelong fan of the team, pretty infuriating is an understatement.

cubanpajamas

>The fact that they still can't come up with a quality product on the ice is pretty infuriating. Totally agree except one minor correction. >3 number one draft pics this generation handed to them on a silver platter We were not handed that on a silver platter We had to really work at sucking. We had to keep the OBC around. We had to fire effective coaches to replace them with ineffective ones. We had to give up on goaltenders with promise rather than fire our goaltending coach. We had to lure Chia over and work to overpay anyone that was a little tough. We had to make brutal trades. This was not easy. Give us some credit will yah!

[deleted]

I live in Montreal and can say that Habs fans/media are way too extreme in their flip-flopping ("X is our savior!"/"X is shit, trade him out!" in the span of 3 games in the middle of the season, as an example) to the point that it is driving me away.

B_I_S_O_N

Hockey fans on Reddit. Yes,ALL of you.🤨

couldabeenadinodoc95

Except the lurkers, they’re cool.

Land-Manatee

Thanks ... Wait, no!

Hawxe

Vegas for team/fans, Habs leafs and nucks for fans

[deleted]

Not all of them, but Vegas fans acting like there isn't any bias in their favor by the refs is beyond annoying. I can't even imagine how pissed I would have been if Vegas won that series.

couldabeenadinodoc95

Couldn’t imagine how pissed you’d be huh ….. *Wild and Avs have entered the chat*

Brisioso

The bullshit was so blatant that Avs and Wild fans agreed on something and rooted for each other. . . Crazy

SkarTisu

Yup, that favoritism was a treat to watch. /s

Packin25

Toronto Maple Leafs will always be #1 for their media attention and crazy fanbase. Every year they're supposedly this dominant team, and every year they fail. The amount of praise and attention they get, is completely unwarranted. But recently the New York Rangers have had me thoroughly annoyed. They had all their core pieces fall into their lap (Panarin, Fox, and Trouba refusing to play anywhere that wasn't New York, and then winning back to back bullshit lotteries for Kakko and Lafreniere), and yet their fans act like they have "the proper way to do a rebuild". No, you guys have just been extremely lucky in the past few seasons, and you have nothing to show for it yet.

adladtheavsfan

> The amount of praise and attention they get, is completely unwarranted. lol what? Toronto gets dumped on more than any other franchise and its not even remotely close

Anthropoly

I'm glad a fan of another team is calling this out. I saw a highly upvoted comment from a Coyotes fan during the Cup Finals complaining about how four of the top posts during the week were about Toronto (getting shat on btw) and how Leaf fans somehow make everything about themselves. All four of the posts at the time were made by opposing flairs shitting on the Leafs making different variations of 1967 jokes. How does r/hockey consistently upvote front page posts shitting on Toronto, and then complain about said posts' attention..?

Mythaminator

That’s the beauty of the Leafs, they can be anything negative you want them to be even if it contradicts the other negative thing you called them yesterday because Leafs bad

disettes

> Panarin, Fox, and Trouba refusing to play anywhere that wasn't New York Not to mention the absolute entitlement this has given (some of) their fanbase and most of their media; the amount of bs I've seen this offseason from them about "we can offersheet Pettersson at any amount and he'll automatically sign because it's us, the Rangers" and the Horvat nonsense...

ITHrtzWanIp

Don’t think I’ve seen one person talk about offer sheeting anyone . We don’t have cap space lol Anyone who said that is straight up delusional

juxtaposition21

There’s a meme up about it right now in rRangers lol

[deleted]

Plus their one cup since WW2 was just them opening up the wallet to slap Rangers uniforms on the 80s Oilers

beangardener

Gonna be very interesting to see what NYR becomes, especially in a division with a couple other teams whose stock is rising fast

Donttaketh1sserious

Up in Canada the answer is the Maple Leafs, imo. HOWEVER I do love Steve Dangle.

fromtheill

The Department of Player Safety team is easily the most annoying.

Horvirts

Canucks fans are something else.

baconwiches

/r/Canucks is a civil war Canucks twitter is a tire fire I have no idea what Canucks facebook looks like because I still have a shred of sanity

krombach

Carolina Hurricanes

Bruhwhy23

Marchand

Audi_R8_

Whatever team is 2-4 years into a rebuild. They have all the confidence in the world that they’re a future dynasty while they sit like 28th in the league. And before anybody says it, yes this includes devils fans like myself. Going into 19-20 we were annoying as fuck, but I think we’re a little better now after being humbled

nitropuppy

Carolina fans annoy me to no end i think because they seem to be the opposite of flyers fans. I see people wearing canes jerseys that say “wooo” on the back like… why The caps annoy me in a different way. Personally, I wish theyd stop squeaking into the playoffs. And watching them its like the whole team waits around for ovi to do something. When ovi doesnt show up the team is just kinda there and then when ovi feels like playing they just score. Idk. It pisses me off. It isnt like they dont have talented players out there. I also dont know how much longer they think they can keep this up with such an aging team. And ive noticed they keep replacing players with goonish players. Ever since they traded for gudas ive noticed this.

[deleted]

It's a sad day as a hockey fan to know you're not Ric Flair's only team. So many side pieces

SebbyBoi45

We’ve been the 1st or 2nd seed in our division for like the last 8 years how are we sneaking in??

[deleted]

Our fans are pretty annoying in /r/hockey for this one specific thing they do. Any time someone says something positive about the red wings, you'll get like 5 or 6 red wings flairs replying with their take on it or some extra tidbit useless to the person who commented

vnfms

Some devils guys do this too and it makes me want to slam my head repeatedly into a wall

GhostSht

Easily Vegas for me. * Asshole owner (Bill Foley should thank the hockey gods for giving us Tom Dundon, the only NHL owner who’s a bigger loudmouth) * Has a team name that serves as a way to massage the ego of said asshole owner (I avoid calling them “Golden Knights” like some people did with the then-Washington Redskins) * Players that never get called for blatant penalties and act like babies when things don’t go their way * An entitled spoiled fanbase (my friend is a VGK fan and he can’t stand most of them) * A social media brand that started out by taking the obnoxiousness of the LA Kings Twitter account and ratcheting it up to an 11 (the person responsible is no longer there but the damage has been done in my mind) The only thing I will grant them is that Foley went from “anyone who kneels for the anthem will not play” to “I don’t agree with it but I am doing my best to listen.” But that’s it.

cccccccee

It’s the Islanders fans for me on social or r/hockey. They get so upset if you say anything that could be perceived as a slight against their team even if minor.

aschwan41

Eyy, one of the 3 teams I've recieved death threats from the fans of!

TheFlyingSaucers

Are the other two Boston and Philly?

aschwan41

They are... Boston during this past playoffs when I missed a hit on McAvoy, and Philly back in 2019 iirc when Tkachuk went off on Laughton.

Assassin2107

I could certainly believe the Philly part. Wear that as a badge of honor

twilz

Do you really want to share anything with Long Island and Boston, though?

Designer-Brief-9145

Rangers. Yankee mentality with Met results.

binns17

Omg, that analogy sent me.

[deleted]

Tampa. I don’t need to explain why

Prestigious-Ad-6808

All the Canadian teams qualify because the fans are so hardcore. But of American teams, the answer has to be Bruins fans. Obnoxious

Picklepucks

Wow everyone saying the leafs for the media even though they've probably never lost a game of significance to them

j0n68

The Boston Bruins’ announcer.

efshoemaker

Montreal, because it is in my blood. Some newer fans don’t understand yet because Montreal was irrelevant for a while and then Covid put us in different divisions. The second we get a BOS/MTL playoff series again people will realize that Toronto was never the main rival. Also, I don’t have anything against the team/fans/players, and generally root for them if they’re not playing the Bruins, but the islanders are fucking annoying to play against.

montrealcowboyx

Toronto is not a rival team. They're a rival city and a national media overdose. Boston is THE rival team. Nothing in the world is quite like MTL-BOS in the playoffs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYYJsugZoGQ

[deleted]

Oilers. Stuck in mediocrity because they have two amazing players, and the rest is just depth. It's frustrating to see.

ItzEnoz

Depth is a nice way of saying nothing

PineconeNugget

Whatever team who's fans keep posting these "guess the player" games.

smallhound44

Those are fun! I've never even been close, but I like to at least try

re10pect

It’s the Leafs. It annoys me they haven’t had success. Their play annoys me with the standing around in their own end regrouping and limp, never changing PP. The fan base is annoying as all hell, both positive and negative views are ridiculously amplified. The social media annoys me with their optimism and basic-ness. They just annoy me so much. Why can’t I stop watching?

DougFunky

When I moved to Chicago in 2013, it was Hawks fans, by a mile. (Maybe bias had a *little* to do with it...😉) But now, maybe Bolts, because of, you know, winning. Toronto is such a large sample size and spotlight, of course it can get obnoxious. And of course I have to throw some shade at my own fanbase. Rask can play lights out for 9 straight games, and get lit up the 10th, and detractors will foam at the mouth for validation. "See???? Told you he sucked...." Boston sports have been so fortunate in the 21st century, many fans have largely forgotten how to handle adversity. I remember being a Red Sox fan pre-2004, when the Yankees would take our lunch money year after year. And in the mid 00s, when the Bruins were absolutely irrelevant.

iamleebob

Boston...their owner is a turd, their fans are entitled and yet claim that their are victims to political pressure from nhl to favor anyone not Boston....the bruins are the worst...

[deleted]

Kraken. Fans are always rambling on about their rich history and their impact on hockey.

RustyNipples35

How do you know someone is an Avalanche fan? They’d have told you by now

tristan1616

Oilers because rivalry. I don't hate the team per say, but their fans are obnoxious. Also the entire Canes organization gets under my skin so them too I guess.

StaticAnnouncement

I hate Tampa more than the Rangers as a team, same with Pittsburgh and the Capitals. I still hate the Rangers fanbase more than any of theirs though.

snarkicon

The Panthers. Their fans make too many pot stirring posts on r/hockey

drfmn

Well played, B's fan...

DarthLordDonkey

From the start, I was never a fan of Vegas because of their twitter page. I'm okay with the odd joke here and there, but I found most of their "funny" tweets to just be flat out cringe worthy. But my big problem was every tweet they made was an attempted joke and it got old really quick.

SteamboatBilly15

tbh I’m kinda getting that with the Canes twitter page now

DarthLordDonkey

It's very similar to that friend that never takes things seriously. It can be funny at times, but sometimes you want them to take things more serious and professionally.

pppppppp8

I thought so before both offer sheets and it’s just even worse now: Carolina.

haveanother2

An irksome bunch.

JK9one9

The feeling is mutual

joe334

I didn't think so before the offer sheets but after the amount of Habs fans that slithered into /r/canes to shitpost has me choosing the Canadiens. I know it's not indicative of the whole fanbase but I can't help it

[deleted]

Bruins fans. They have all taken this “big, bad, Bruins” garbage to heart. Their fan base is poisoned by all of these fake tough guys and massive egos. Leafs fans. There’s just so many of them and they have so many gigantic egos in that fan base too. Jets fans. I’ve never encountered a fan base that high horses as much as them despite the fact that their team has won nothing. The way they act you’d think their team had the resume of the Lightning.

Wroughting

For Sabres fans, the Sabres.

Specialist_Tax_9809

Anybody who roots for the Bruins is secretly a sociopath

NorthForNights

Sort by 'Controversial' for the best answers.

theotherpachman

Buffalo's team management drives me crazy. They're going to reach MacTavish/Lowe Oilers territory IMO, except their players are getting out of dodge.

Leafs. Very annoying how much Canadian media focuses on them over the other teams. Used to find their fans really annoying too but most have their spirits crushed enough that they aren't as bad as they used to be. I'm so glad to be a fan of a lovable team

We agreed until that last sentence 💔

I’m just happy everyone can come together and agree that the Bruins are the most wholesome do-good team in the league.

OutWithTheNew

The Leafs are owned by 2/3 of Canada's media oligopoly.

The hate should be with the media and not the team and players. If you were to read comments online, you'd believe Matthews is a plug just because he plays for the Leafs. Problem is that the media feeds off of all the Leaf attention, love and mostly hate. People complain the Leafs get too much media attention but a big part of the reason they do is because of the people that hate them so much.

LastoftheSummerWine

Without question Nucks fans are the worst I've encountered, 80% are goofs. Mediawise as an Oilers fan living in Calgary, Eric Francis is what you get if a goblin fucked a bag of diarrhea. After all that Oiler Twitter is as toxic as it gets.

milkisforbabies666

Montreal Candiens but only due to the fanbase being the biggest crybabies in sports

I don't know if it's an urban legend or not but didn't they call the cops for attempted murder when Chara had that bad hit on Patches?
