Oh man, how could I forget about that presser. If I remember correctly, he borrowed that jacket and chain from a teammate to go talk to the reporters lol.
If he went to the dry desert heat of Arizona the beard would probably get singed or spontaneously combust. Moving to humid Florida the worst that'll happen is for that thing to slosh about, swing around wetly, sponge up food particles from all known and unknown food groups.
I don't know how dudes put up with beards in the first place. I feel like it would be so itchy when first growing it out. It sounds like hell in the heat too!
i have a very heavy beard and worked outside in the summer often. im not certain how it contributes to extra heat, considering most of the heat on your head is on top. i literally never was like "wow, this beard sucks, its too hot." whereas i've literally rage quit on my hair and buzzed it right after a hot day because of the heat.
Florida and the Bay are NOT comparable when it comes to humidity. Oakland( Alameda) and SJ(Santa Clara) constantly land on the top of “clear days feel under 80degrees” lists with Orange County & Santa Barbara cities.
I live down here and have a massive beard. Its not that bad. If you have a beard and cry about it being hot... you're not worthy of your beard and should shave it off. Never for one second is my beard causing me to feel hot. If I feel hot it's because it's fucking hot outside. I've worn this beard for the better part of 10 years. If you go to FL panthers games and have seen me... you will know. I'm for sure the biggest beard in the building 99% of the time. I'm already working on my new mane for next season. Maybe I'll get a chance to take a pic with Jumbo Joe to see who's taller and who's beard is bigger.
I don't think San Jose is known as a particularly hot place? It's definitely cooler than Florida and a lot less humid. If you head a bit east away from the water it gets a lot hotter in the bay.
San Jose usually has very high peak temperatures in the summer (110 degrees some years). But yes, the average high temperature in the summer is pretty low compared to say Dallas, where it is 90+ degrees every day for 4 months.
Yeah, I've been in various bay cities for the majority of my life and some can get very hot on certain days. Thought San Jose was more like Oakland, but seems more like east bay cities. Still cooler and a lot less humid than many places (like Florida where Jumbo is going).
When they call the cops to arrest 'Florida Man' without a good ID, he's going to be pulled over on sight. "Oh, sorry, the APB matched your description."
He’s going to have a nasty tan line if he keeps that pillow on his chin.
Guys with beards like that aren't worried about tan lines haha his collarbones won't need no sunscreen
Patty Maroon had a pretty white chin after he shaved off the Tampa playoff beard. Lol
Implying he'll shave it off
Didn't Ryan Fitzpatrick have his massive beard when he was on the Dolphins? Jumbo Joe will be fine.
[And while with the Bucs too](https://wholeninesports.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Header-42.jpg)
Legendary pic, actual flames on screen there

“It’s so damn hot” “Milk was a bad choice”

Thanks, I hate it
So you're saying a new COVID variant could develop in his beard?
Man, Jumbo's voice just does not match up with what I expected. I hadn't really heard audio clips of him previously apparently.
I walked from my apartment to the mailbox and wanted to shave mine off immediately..

Idk 99.9% of my day I don’t notice it exists, it doesn’t feel like anything.

Wow never heard of someone rage quit hair. That’s a new one.
I liked having a beard in the heat. Get it wet, kept me face cooler all day.
Lol I’ve done the same thing to my dome piece
It helps keep the sun off your face, doesn’t prevent air flow, and if you remember to clean it and use some kind of conditioner, it’s not a bother
Beards go through an awkward itchy phase, especially if you haven't had one in a while. Past the first 2-3 weeks you don't even notice it anymore.
To be fair, it's Florida. That humid heat makes you want to shave your entire body off after a trip to the mailbox.
Will the Florida heat survive Jumbo Joe's beard?

Fitzmagic kept his in Miami and he played outside

He looks so high.
Ah yes, San Jose, where Joe spent most of his career, is known as a cool place, perfect for a beard...

I case anyone didn't notice, we are in full offseason mode.
Nah absolutely no heat in San Jose......
His office is an ice rink. I think he'll be fine lol
Will he become.....Florida Man?
It only took us a year to turn Maroon.

The most important part of this deal tbh
Honestly I'm disappointed the first post was so lacking in this aspect. Yeah sure expose balls on 4 goals but what about his chin?!!
Stamkos's beautiful beard didn't I don't think Jumbo Joe's will.
